While I have a backup VISA here for emergencies I really STAY because of the outstanding customer service. Had a recent bump in the road the manager VICTORIA helped me navigate. She's so professional & working with her always feels like talking to an old friend. Now about those 1 & 2 star reviews I see here? Sorry but that's someone having bad days... you will NOT regret doing business here! When I see an exchange from OCU to a troubled customer stating that the reason OCU exists is BECAUSE OF CUSTOMERS banking there that makes me say EXACTLY... too many banks do NOT get that... OCU gets that! When I call & get Kali or Maddie it's always a delight to just hear their voice. Why? I know they genuinely care & will effectively & efficiently accomplish whatever I need on that call. Feels like family here, chosen family. In fact I like them BETTER than my blood family. LOL. THANKS EVERYONE!

We had baby bonds to cash, coins to cash, Canadian money to exchange, and had to add my husband to my account. We were greeted right away with multiple employees ready to help. For a Saturday they were all so happy and ready to assist. We had to add my husband to my account first so we waited a few moments for a lobby rep. Thana (might have her name wrong) helped us with everything! She was so helpful and happy to help us out with our random requests. I loved that they were open on a Saturday and so willing to help. It was also a coworkers birthday and they all sang to her and were in great spirits. It definitely was a great environment and I felt very taken care of! Great customer service and I am happy to go back!

My experience with WSECU was extremely disappointing. I contacted the credit union seeking basic…read moreinformation regarding a loan account and was assisted by Julie. Unfortunately, I found her demeanor to be rude, condescending, and unprofessional. Rather than providing assistance or directing me to someone who could help, I felt as though I was being interrogated about why I needed the information. The tone of the conversation was dismissive and lacked the courtesy and respect that customers deserve. Customer service should be built on professionalism, patience, and respect. Even when information cannot be provided, there is a respectful way to communicate that to customers. Based on this experience, I was left feeling frustrated and undervalued. I hope management reviews customer service standards and provides additional training to ensure future customers are treated with dignity and respect.

I am a 33 year active duty military member who applied for a Home loan with Olympic Federal Credit…read moreUnion. I have a 780+ credit score and was putting 20% down. I locked my loan in at 4.1%, just before the feds raised rates again the next week. We had just paid for and received the $900 appraisal (later we found out that an appraisal wasn't even required on a home that was only a year old). At this point, they now wouldn't do my loan without some property clean up of old vehicles, a home inspection, and a requirement to put funds in escrow to do cosmetic repairs in the home, even though the home had just received a certificate of occupancy in 2021. I was also told by my loan officer, Rachel Rudenski, that her team had a meeting and the consensus was "this really isn't the property that they want to have a mortgage with." We truly believe all of this was done so that they simply did not have to to honor the 4.1% rate...coincidently enough, rates had rose to +5% by this time. Subsequently, we went to another lender with the same appraisal (which they said wasn't even required) the next day and closed in less than 2 weeks... Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation to the rescue!! Karen Orr was great! I would advise anyone trying to get a home loan to think twice about using Olympic Federal Credit Union. It is my opinion that they are more interested in maximizing profit rather than securing a loan for someone that is exceptionally qualified. You may find yourself incurring numerous additional costs, at a higher interest, and an unusually long time to close. Consumer beware.

Charles Schwab used to have a reputation for a customer first attitude. Apparently, that went into…read morethe trash with their acquisition of TD Ameritrade. Wanting to meet with them to deal with my existing accounts and open one with my daughter, I attempted to schedule an appointment. I used their online appointment request form a week ahead of my desired date. Although promised a 1-2 business day response, I never heard from anyone. So, the day before I wanted to meet, I attempted to call the office in Washington State where I was planning to go. My call ended up with a nice man in Tampa instead. He helped as much as he could and sent a message to the office I was trying to reach, asking them to contact me. They did not do that, and I had to cancel my plans with my daughter. I still have not heard back from them. I think they were not prepared for the huge increase in customers due to their acquisition of Ameritrade, especially after closing many offices over the past four years. Hopefully, the lawsuit to unwind this merger will succeed, but a resolution to that suit will still be years away.
