I stopped in to check on something I wanted to do. I had been told by two branches it wasn't possible, even though I had done the same thing with other banks. I didn't see why Chase should be any different. The people I talked to me didn't think it should be a problem, and started working on it. Admittedly, Chase does make it a lot more complicated than other banks. I ended up having four people working on it including the branch manager, Beth I believe, and it took quite a while, but she got it figured out. This time I just used the indoor ATM machine which I think is safer than the outdoor ATM machines. This location also have a drive thru ATM if people prefer that. The process was simple and quick for me since there was no line. The plaza where this Chase bank is in also have a lot of parking spots. read more

This bank is located in a shopping plaza. (Near Northridge shopping center) That said, it can get busy. They have a drive through ATM for 2 cars, and plenty of ATMs inside. We visited the bank to open new bank accounts midday on a Friday. The bank was busy and I was given an appointment to return later that day. (I recommend you make an appointment) The service was curteous and respectful. Although the bank was busy, the service surpassed my expectations. Dayanna Lopez explained the account thoroughly, walked us throught all of its features (both bonuses and caveats). She took her time, we never felt rushed and she welcomed all questions. I really like this branch. The store is kept clean and the lines are rarely long. The employees (both tellers and those working at desks) are very friendly and helpful. They do a great job of both getting what you need done quickly, while also giving you a personal experience and friendly chit chat. Even when waiting in line it never feels like someone is dragging things along or moving slowly. My only complaint about this branch isn't really with the branch. It's with the location. The parking lot this location shares is one of my least favorite in the area. The spots are tiny, people are always parking in 2 spots, and it's always packed. There are just too many big businesses in this lot for what they offer parkingwise. I really wish there were more "bank parking only" spots during regular business hours. I can't tell you how many times I've had to park all the way across the lot just to go in & spend less than 5 minutes in the branch. It's just annoying. I try to do as much as I can via the drive thru ATM at this branch because of this downside. But, if you can find a spot, you're in for a very good in person banking experience. read more

All I can say is the actual JP Morgan Chase would be appalled to have his name on such a poor running establishment with ambition-less staff at this particular location. You primarily have people dwindling their thumbs praying for clock out time. It's almost like they take delight in turning you away. I arrived there 1:12pm to open an account for a minor, Where I was told the account would take an hour to set up, when it took all of 15 minutes with opening up another account for another child at a Chase in West Los Angeles 3 years ago. The banker claimed my name was not attached to my older account with another child (which I found out was a complete bogus lie). I went with my mom. I asked if they still do the referral program. The guy banker said if you have a coupon, yes, but I haven't seen that in a long time. So I look it up online on their website and it's there. Then he looked at the coupon and said oh this one, you have to open an account online to get the referral. Then I said why can't he help us since we are already in the branch with him. He said he can help us but won't be able to give the $200 credit. So we left. Baddest customer service ever... First of all the atm took my money which i deposit, and after it did it said " this atm is not accepting deposits currently " It gave a receipt instead of giving my cash back. I called to claim that and they couldn't find a solution for it, and they told me till june 7 to figure things out. It's not my fault this atm is broken or i don't know what and it's my money i need to do payments, i need to eat i need to uber i can't do anything cause i have insufficient funds now because iv been waiting for my deposit for day and still nothing in return.... I don't know who is in charge of maintenance here, but they need to be replaced. Immediately. The drive-up ATM's never work. And you don't find out until you have waited in line, and tried, just like the few other people ahead of you. The front entrance has been boarded up for what, 3-4 months now? Which is a shining example for them... So you can't use the walk-up ATM just inside, or park upfront like you normally would. No, no... You have to park in the backlot, which is for 20 cars? And really meant for 1 direction. Or park all the way out towards Starbucks and hoof it in. Parking was bad enough before, because that lot can get busy. But now? Instant anxiety attack. I just want to use an ATM... that simple. And it becomes this cluster of where to park, what is open and what is working. Do better for your customers. My bank is Chase before it was Chase. Does it sound ok? It was Great Western, then Washington Mutual, now it's Chase. My credit card is from Chase since forever. I opened a checking/savings account about a month ago and the service was awesome to say the least. The young lady, I forgot her name, I think she was of India decent, was not only a beautiful young lady but also very helpful, knowledgeable, and caring. If it wasn't for her I wouldn't have known that being a veteran you get some benefits with Chase. Great job. This is a change in review due to negative experiences since the first time. The above compliments still hold true. However, since we opened our account here, we've attempted to use the drive-thru ATM at least 3 dozen times and 90% of those times they're not working and disabled. 4 times in the last 24 hours. I've developed a new found hate for this branch... I came in here the other week to deposit my check... Cut a long story short, the lady, who "helped" me was just simply rude. A serious lack of basic customer service skills and or common human courtesy. A sever, and classic case of employee unhappiness. Came in to order checks and waited in line for teller. Once she assisted me she charged $2 for a sheet of checks and told me to order checks go talk to a banker. Requested I sign in. Signed in and waited... waited... waited while the bankers sat by themselves on their computer. A gentleman walked in and asked for assistance and the banker told him sir their are other customers we have to assist prior to assisting you. So obviously they knew we were waiting. I finished work and rushed to the Northridge branch on Devonshire in the shopping plaza last Thursday to open a business account before they closed at 5pm. It was 4:25 but I was told, they didn't have anyone to help me and needed to make an appointment for next Tuesday (today). Today, I arrived 10 minutes before my appointment to be told that we left you a message and that the banker is unable to open a Business account. I checked my phone, the message said to call them back and nothing about the banker not having the credential to open a business account. The girl didn't ask for my name. She only knew that they had a customer coming in at 4 to open a business account. I called another branch and asked about the need for special credentials for opening a business account by a banker and she confirmed that any chase banker is qualified to open any type of account. These people don't want to work, they are useless. read more

One of the bank tellers gave me false information which let to my account getting restricted and I come here to fix it the only time I am available off work and they can't even get to me saying their "short-staffed". I was told by a chase representative, AFTER I HAD CALLED, that my account was restricted and they took my check which led to my account being negative. Is there a point to a sign in sheet if the order is not followed and the Lobby Jester doesn't understand customer service? I went to the front of the teller line only to be told by the greeter that the woman completing her slip was in line ahead of me. I stepped aside, she was still completing her form when the teller was available. I asked my question and proceeded to the banker waiting area at which time the inferior greeter who'd failed to greet and succeeded to insult me asked what I needed help with after he saw me ask the teller. I proceeded to put my name on the list and a new person walked through the door who got directed to the banker's booth without signing in. Quietly I waited. A nice woman checked on me and when her client left she asked what I was in for. I said I'd completed the clipboard questions and if the branch actually used the board for checking in. Too long of a story, I left getting my questions answered but not solving my lost card problem due to banking procedural updates. So, I haven't received my replacement debit card in the mail and have lost my temporary card and to get another temporary card, I have to cancel my original card request. So I need to relearn the bank's policies that keep changing to bank there and their lobby greeter causes issues by not having to learn his job as a customer service representative representing a banking institution. Hmmmmmmm. I apologize to competent representatives, I don't want to offend capable professionals, but unless someone is trained properly or has a natural gift for interacting professionally and pleasantly, they should not be allowed to bear the burden of being the first and last person with whom the customers are forced to interact. The geniuses at Chase HQ close down a very accessible branch (formerly at Nordhoff & Corbin) ample parking and great employees in favor of this hole in the wall branch. This location wasn't designed with customer convenience in mind as the parking is a headache as this shopping center is already at capacity. Then there are the lines, seemingly one teller open and everyone else gathered at a desk talking about what was on tv last night. Unfortunately I have to give a 1star because of today's visit. The lady who was helping me earlier was really unprofessional, I was doing deposit for a business account, the lady asked me how much is each stack of the $1 bills, I told her they are $100 in each. Instead of running all the bills in the money counter machine, she only did the larger bills and told me she will do the $1 bills later, and I can leave. ????? Seriously? So I said to her, "it's okay I can wait, I prefer you count them now, make sure the amount is right" (which they usually do in front of customers) so she turned to her colleague and said "she prefers us to do it in front of her" in a very unpleasant tone...... As if I'm making a ridiculous request. Is that normal for someone to do that when you are depositing cash?
