The banker did not close my accounts properly and a charge went through. I have been in contact with the bank 4 times now with promises of the issue being resolved or promises of the manager calling me back after finishing up with a customer just to not receive any response. The issue began on March 9th and has yet to be resolved. I do not recommend this branch at all and am appalled at the professionalism and how things have been handled with a customer who has had their only bank account ever with Marquette for many years.

We spoke, in person, with FRANK MONREAL the branch manager. Other banks offered HIGHER interest rates, so all we asked was that Old Plank (owned by WINTRUST) MATCH the rate of other banks. FRANK MONREAL stated, "we don't match", so we told him we would be in on Thursday 3/5/26 to close the account, and pick-up the check. Thursday morning we went in, and were told by MARKEELA McDONALD that we could NOT get our money as today is FRANK MONREAL day-off, and he had authorize it, WHAT! ... FRANK MONREAL KNEW WE WERE COMING TO PICK-UP THE CHECK, AND THIS IS HIS DAY-OFF! .. Well, in any event, MARKEELA McDONALD did get authorization, and after 2-HOURS, we went back, picked up the check, and promptly took out a new CD with the bank that has our OTHER CD. By the way, this other CD was money ALSO taken from Old Plank (owned by WINTRUST) ... Old Plank is NOT a BANK I would recommend or trust, and judging by the other reviews, other people feel that same way! ...

This branch has been more then helpful and goes above and beyond to make sure your issues are taken care of. Even after a week or so they call to make sure everything is fine. I was having a problem with my debit card and the banker seen me out there the next day she came out in the cold to make sure everything was fixed and that the card was working. She did that for 3 weeks in a row.

I put another credit card company's check in the envelope that went to my C&T VISA address, but with Nancy's wonderful help, staying on top of the refund situation, I was able to get back on track and have the correct payment go to the correct credit card. I have been a member of this credit union for nearly 50 years and their services have never disappointed me, but this was the first time I really needed help with the refunding of a large amount of money.
