so I've been trying for a year and a half to access my mortgage account that was in my sister's name for the past 12 years. She passed away in 2022. I have always made all the payments. Through legal avenues, I was finally able to get my name on the mortgage account. However, I am now told that I am not allowed to have mobile access to this account. I can only receive a monthly mortgage statement via USPS mail and no transparency of where my money is going, where it has gone, or anything related. I have spent thousands on legal expenses, only to be denied every step of the way. I will never, and I mean, never, use Chase Bank for anything! This situation is ludicrous.! They can send me a monthly bill that of course they expect me to pay, but under no circumstances, can I see where my money is going. It's absolutely astonishing. read more

This branch may be the worst chase branch I've ever experienced. They have always been below chase standards. They don't communicate when they say they will. While setting up accounts they didn't grant proper authorization for the people and then we're told we would have to come in to fix their screw up. Waited over a week for a call back to set up a estate account. However the Olathe branch on 117th is amazing and I would recommend using them for the proper and amazing chase customer service. read more

I responded to an offer to open a checking and savings since I have been a long time Chase card holder. Setting up both a checking and savings account online was easy and was prompted to transfer money into my new Chase accounts from an external bank. The transfer from my old bank to my new checking account went fine, but the transfer to my saving failed. I received a letter from Chase (not a call or email) and Chase said THEY stopped the transfer since it did not fit my historical pattern of activity. I tried 3 other times, each with smaller $ amounts but each transfer failed. I called the national Chase number and spoke with several people and one Chase Representative said he had to call my other bank. The three of us were on the line and both banks verified the transfer. Six days later on the last day of the promotion I learned that transfer failed, Chase stopped it-not my old bank. I called Chase toll-free and spoke with five different people all with about a 25 hold time between each Chase Representative. No department could figure out who I should speak with so I called the local Chase bank and left a message for the branch manager. That was 9 days ago, no call back. What a HUGE hassle and about the worst customer service I have experienced since I dealt with Time-Warner 10 years ago. Not a fan. I will be closing my new Chase checking account. read more

Very disappointed in lack of service, extremely rude staff and focus on making me find a new bank. This is based on multiple visits and being hung up on because I asked to speak to a manager. I have owned Chase Credit Cards for years. I finally took a plunge on an email about bonus money for opening checking and savings accounts. I can tell you, I am not impressed. I tried to do it online, but there was an issue getting a joint owner, so I had to make individual account, then drive to a brick and mortar location to add the joint owner (value of that bonus just decreased). I then added an external account online to transfer the required amount to receive the bonus. I found it strange Chase just accepted the account as good to go. I then used the website to transfer the required money and went to sleep. I woke up this morning and tried to log in, only to find they had locked my account for fraudulent activity and I had to call a number to regain access. WTH! I call the number and some foreign accented person tried to assist me and says the fraud team flagged the transaction and I needed to fund the account a different way? Hey fraud team when someone opens an account for bonus money based on a minimum account balance within x amount of days, that someone will probably add the minimum amount. I can't say for sure (because agreements today are so long and filled with lawyer speak) but I didn't recall needing to use cash, check or wire only to fund the accounts to receive bonus. Anyway the only way I could get back in my account was for them to void the transaction and now I have to find another way to fund the account. (30 minutes later the bonus value continues to shrink) They suggested I go to a bank with cash or check. I thought the banking system was trying to do away with physical transactions and move everything to the cloud. Chase appears to be behind or they are contradicting themselves. I am now going to try and do it the other way and setup Chase as the external account with the bank I am going to transfer from (imagine that they are going to electronically verify my account before I can transfer money). I hope it works because I really don't want to waste fuel and pollute the planet (not to mention transfer viruses (COVID19 anyone?)) because Chase doesn't realize an external account can be verified without human interaction. I was hoping Chase would be a good bank, so I could move away from Wells Fargo. Instead I am already counting down the 6 month requirement to keep the bonus offer! My hubby and I walked into Chase bank in Leawood, KS to open a joint account. The Personal Banker was very helpful and very patient. After he was done, we inquired about 529 account for college fund. He had us wait to go bring the expert (Nick) in this field, the guy came over and he told us to go open an account with Learning Quest (he did not even ask anything else before telling us this) because he would not like to take our money, then he started telling us about investing with Fidelity, they have the best investment portfolio and that we could do it ourselves. Then he started asking us how much money we have to invest. After all that Fidelity sale, he left and I was wondering, his card shows J.P Morgan but he is selling Fidelity accounts inside Chase Bank, we just felt profiled. After Nick left, the Banker that helped us open the account, started showing us the JP Morgan Chase investments that we could do and sent us a link to look at to get more information. Is that how Chase operates or that was just profiling straight up? We are thinking of closing the accounts we just opened because this is not the kind of treatment we are looking for, we work hard for our money and someone is acting like they are doing you a favor by talking to you. read more

Online site is easy to use (I don't speak computerese). There is no trouble navigating. They keep me informed of changes and make sure that I am satisfied with transactions.
