    I wanted to do was use the ATM. I want to pay that one is it's in the far corner on the street where there's no parking or any place to pull over. So I had to pull around to the parking lot and since it was raining I did a walking through the bank. I got a lot of awkward stares at people watched me struggle through. I wish there was an ATM inside the bank that I could a used instead of having to walk back outside in the rain and around the corner. I have got some more strange looks after I use the ATM and walked back through the bank to the back parking lot. It felt pretty odd and uncomfortable. ATMs are for convenience so I can figure that there would be an ATM closer to the parking lot or the backside the bank is what was in the front of the bank. And also inside the bank. These days with B having ATMs all over the place you think that this bank would have more than just one

    I went in to apply for an auto loan, and the guy helping me (Tony) seemed like he couldn't wait to…read morego home. I was approved for the loan with little explanation or info on what to do next. I went home only to realize that the terms and conditions for the loan had a gray area condition that might not even work for my situation (something that could've been made clear upon receiving approval). Not that big of a deal.. I then attempted to call not only the loan officer himself, but the branch, as well as the company's main office line to no avail. I go back later the same day to see the same loan officer walking around freely, chatting happily with co workers (even though I was told over the phone that they were all unavailable or with customers). We speak again and I get a vague answer from Tony about the discrepancy, but this time I'm told they have to "wait for approval from the back office". This was all on a Friday, so I was aware that there would be a longer than usual delay over the weekend to get that answer. Come Monday, I receive nothing (by 1PM). I try and call all 3 lines again, nothing. I decide to go back in for a 3rd time and this time I spoke with a different loan officer (after requesting to speak with a manager and waiting 30 minutes), and he basically told me the same thing, that they were "working on it". I was told I would for sure get the answer I needed by the end of day, "maybe even sooner". That was at 2PM. Next thing you know it's 5PM (they're closed) and I've still received 0 updates or answers to my simple question regarding the loan. Now it's Tuesday (12PM) and I call again, just to be told by a main office worker that he "couldn't get ahold of anyone, but someone from the branch would give me a call by end of day". Based on my experience so far, I HIGHLY doubt that's gonna happen, and I'm tired of going in and waiting 30+ minutes for the same answers with no progress whatsoever. This whole ordeal has been a major waste of my time to say the least. This place has managed to turn something so simple into a major headache of mine. I'm having a really bad experience with this company so far. I would certainly not recommend.

Citizens Business Bank's One Civic Center Dr. La Canada Flintridge location (formerly on Foothill Blvd. when I first opened an account with them) had been housing an account for one of the investment properties for years. Prior to this, I'd never done any banking with them although I was familiar with the brand, and they apparently have made a name for themselves as a reputable strong small bank. Sadly, on this fateful day, it was time to close the account and end our relationship since it was no longer needed, so I felt it was time to memorialize them with a review. Was my time with them as a small business owner, the right bank for any citizen in the same situation!? PRODUCTS Like most financial institutions, they offered all of your basic banking needs such as checking and savings accounts, CDs, loans, etc. Over the years, I've opened CDs, wired funds, had a safe deposit box, and needed cashier checks. In this particular instance, I made a final withdrawal and closed the lone account we had left. In addition, they provided various business services. Everything was pretty straightforward, so it really came down to whatever preferences you were looking for. SERVICE I've always handled all transactions inside the branch. From day one, one constant employee was always there to assist me with anything I needed (sadly, I couldn't remember her name but it started with an "M"). I always enjoyed the personal touch and that they were never busy, so I was usually helped immediately. Simply, a group of nice women who treated you with professionalism - thank you! There was a lobby area when you entered where the bathrooms and an ATM were located. These were minimal promotional advertisements hung on the walls and found at the desks. Plenty of natural lighting came in through the large windows while electric ceiling lights filled in the rest. There were no TVs nor any background music. ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL I had a good run with La Canada Flintridge's One Civic Center Dr.'s location of Citizens Business Bank, and I wish them all the best. I always felt appreciated, was treated very well, and never had any issues with them. The brand itself offered everything I needed with a personal touch, a sense of belonging, and a great supporter of small businesses. At the end of the day, I felt my money was safe, and always had a positive experience with them. Generally speaking, they didn't always have the best of interest rates, and they didn't have a ton of branch locations. I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $0.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, although they offered MasterCard & VISA, they didn't offer my credit card of choice... AMEX! 4.0 STARS

    I have cashed my check from here for a year now, and today they decided to test me. I lost my…read morepaycheck in the mail and had to have a handwritten check reissued to me from my employer. So the supervisor on duty says she has a policy that prohibits her from cashing handwritten checks over $1000 until they contact the person who wrote it directly and verify that they check is from them... Had to call corporate to get it handled. Turns out that policy doesn't exist and when corporate asked for the name of someone to talk to, the response I was given was "We don't need a manager to run this place." Then wrote my personal information on a post it for her safe keeping. Anyway, after a relatively sorry call to corporate, the tellers straightened up and cashed my check for me and I was on my way. As I'm walking out the door I can hear that they finally got ahold of my boss so I stuck around to hear how the lovely manager bad mouthed me to my boss. Way to run an establishment full of people's money...

Right away, she seemed uninterested and kept trying to send me to Bank of America next door instead of just helping me. When she finally processed it, I gave her my ID, debit card, and all the required info. The transaction declined--which can happen--but before I even said a single word, she immediately jumped in with a rude, defensive tone saying she "doesn't know the restrictions," as if I was about to question her. I wasn't even going to ask. The entire interaction was weird and unnecessary. The attitude, the dismissiveness, and the lack of basic customer service made it clear she didn't want to help from the start. I stayed respectful the whole time, but that clearly wasn't mutual. She tried to be to intimidating with her stares but I wasn't intimidated at all, I thought it was odd and childish, because we're at a bank. We're not teens in high school. For reference, this was the teller at the far end of the counter closest to the sofas--a blonde woman with blue eyes--so management can properly address it. I also like to add that after my card was declined I went next door to bank of america to get my money it was closed. They close at 4 and Wells Fargo is open until 5. I'm still a bit confused as to why she would send me next door, but okay. Really disappointing experience. Do better, Wells Fargo.
