Friendly, professional people help you out with whatever services you may need. No one turns their head, pretending to not see you! This makes it easy to get in & get out, particularly during the pandemic. At my local branch, the interior is still locked with the lobby ATM open. Twice now, while paused in what I was doing, bank personnel have opened the door to see if I needed assistance (i did). Just opened the door without me banging on it! Like - I was a customer who needed help! The ATM gives $10 bills, the employees are helpful & courteous and they give a decent rate of interest. My short wish list is checked off at CHB!

I don't get charged the crazy fees like sssb. Someone must have gotten my card number and booked a room at the Tropicana Inn, I hadn't noticed the charge yet but the cfcu was all over it. They froze my card, reversed the transaction and issued me a new card all before breakfast. I've never had such great customer service and felt so protected by a bank. Great place!

Let me start with telling you about the Norwell Branch Manager, Nate Scott. A power of example in professionalism, kindness, compassion, and a commitment to results. When my application was pending he asked a few additional questions to which days later he demonstrated an understanding of my situation that showed compassion, humanity, and a genuine interest in helping me realize my outcome of a loan to improve my financial health. In his absence one day following a Nor'Easter I had the pleasure of meeting Leah Page, branch manager filling in from Brockton.....she had all of Nate's strengths matched and an understanding and willingness to share of her own personal experiences as a customer in my shoes (trying to recover from financial distress). This added the most human touch I've ever received from a credit union. That on top of her ability to identify, offer solutions, and hope balanced with realism make her a one-of-a-kind gem. I am honored to have crossed paths with such a professional woman. Lastly I tip my hat to Mr. Hennessey for all that he did to move my application through to the end while (and despite) being out unexpectedly from a family death. My Rockland Trust debit card information was stolen and used by someone in another state to make a…read morepurchase of nearly $1,000.00 I was sent a text message from Rockland Trust on that day asking me if I made this purchase, to which I replied "NO", and the card was subsequently frozen and my account was given a provisional credit for that $1,000.00 fraudulent purchase. Fast forward 3 months later, and the provisional credit I had been given was then RESCINDED by Rockland Trust, and I was told they had been given "proof" by the merchant where the fraudulent transaction occurred that it was not fraudulent, despite the fact that the bank itself CONTACTED me that day when the purchase was made as they suspected it to be fraudulent. Now Rockland Trust is telling me there is "nothing more we can do", despite having already being able to provide me a credit for the fraudulent purchase that they TOLD me about the moment it happened. I will very likely be taking my business elsewhere entirely and never banking here again because of this complete failure, on Rockland Trust's part, to protect me and my financial security despite every indication and piece of evidence they had to do so.

I deposited an inheritance check for $300k in their high interest account. So when i opened it, i…read moreasked how much i could take out per day or month. Unlimited i was happy and surprised to hear. So, because it was over the $250k limit insured by FDIC, i though i better link it to another outside account. I tried 2. But it didnt work. Iasked for a check in could deposit in another bank until the linking worked. The other bank said this will take days to clear. So i went back to South Shore Bank to ask for the cash i could walk to the other bank with. First they called one of the linked banks. That bank said, we cannot link to that bank. Called the other, same story. South Shore offered a free wire transfer normally $25. As it turned out their maximum daily limit was $5k if i were able to get it out. I decided to take much more out because of mistrust. Then they wrote me a letter saying they couldnt take me as a customer. They said they mailed the chec on a holiday weekend. So there many days i did not receive interest. On the next Tuesday, they called to say come pick up the check for the remainder. More days, no interest. I just wanted to warn people because with the new bank failures, i wonder who that money goes to. Friends of friends. The big red flag went up when the representative said unlimited withdrawals. She later said she meant if i use $25 wire transfers.

When i try to log in the site says it will send a text to my cell phone but the numbers they show are not mine. i have tried to call the number they give 7 times and have waited for as long as a half an hour with nobody answering. When I do their "tutorial" and click user name someone else's user name show up and I can not delete it and enter mine. They then send me a message to let them know when is a good time to call me but they never called after I sent them a time to call.
