Not even one star.......total minus I telephoned the banker assigned to my account on her direct line and left a voice message on June 12... ...on June 14 ...on June 18 twice...two voice messages ...on June 20...left a message I also called the bank's general phone number; but nobody answered the phone, and I could not leave a voice message because there was no answering machine. ...on June 21, I telephoned the general number for the bank and asked the person, who answered, to ask my banker to telephone me back. My banker did telphone me back after I attempted to reach her from June 12 to June 21 six times, leaving a voice message each time. She was shocked to learn that I had telephoned six times and left six messages because she had not received any of them. My banker told me that her position had changed at Chase bank, as she now was a Chase Private Client banker. She told me she "has six bankers." She has no time. Somebody can check her voice messages for her. She advised me that she had provided me with outstanding service. My banker suggested that I call the Chase 800 number or something...or get somebody's email or something and email for help....or something.... When my banker hung up the phone in my face without saying good-bye, I just sat there in stunned silence. The manager on duty called me to inform me that she had spoken with my banker, who reported that I might be unhappy with our telepone exchange. The manager of the bank was on holiday. The manager did telephone me back after the weekend, since I had left a request for him to contact me. The manager told me that this Chase bank does have six bankers, but only he manages the six bankers at this branch. He told me he would speak to my banker. When I told him, how frustrating it was to telephone the bank, which does not have a live person to answer the phone and does not have an answering machine on to take a message from a Chase client, the manager informed me that he realizes that some clients cannot leave a message to have a Chase banker return a telphone call when they are too busy to answer the phone. I am stunned that I am dealing with Chase Bank, as this type of service cannot be expected in any bank in the world. read more

I telephoned yesterday on my banker's private line and left a message. NO answer. I called the general line, which is run by a machine with prompts. NO answer. I telephoned today several times. NO answer on either the private banker's phone or the general phone. Finally, on the fifth try, after I tried another choice on the answering machine's menu, a live person answered. He could not take a message for the three first requests to have my banker call me......without pressing me over and over again to have me explain why I am calling and exactly what the issue is. I am not interested in dealing with this banker because of past experience. When I spoke with the manager of this bank several times about the lack of service and why she had not responded to my phone messages at another bank several times, she responded like a true banker, "Everybody needs to speak to their banker!!!" ... throwing roses at herself..... with as much class as a teenage soda clerk, selling popcorn and soda at the local diner. Apparently, the prestigious Chase Morgan Bank feels comfortable running their bank via an answering machine with mysterious prompts that don't connect the client with a banker but require the client to call back multiple times to figure out which prompt to use because the choices are drowning in self-service options and suggestions........but no live banker! I always feel like I am bargaining for bananas and peaches at some colorful market abroad ... without speaking the language, when I am done attempting to reach a live person at Chase Bank. How does one cash a check with the chase logo on it charge $10 for cashing their own freaking check to the recipient. Tell me lease make sense of this for the world. It's your check with the chase name on it. Meaning hate cash in hand. You charging $10 for someone that doesn't bank with chase is ridiculous. Your name is on the check crying out loud. It's called stealing if your making money off your own money fyi This is why the rich get richer and the pour ..... well you know the rest. check. I used the ATM on the exterior side wall of the building, and withdrew $500 cash in anticipation of a business trip the next day. The ATM here does not offer the option of getting larger bills (some do), so it dispensed the $500 in $20 bills. I walked inside, and waited in a long line at a teller's window. When I reached the teller, I told her I had withdrawn $500, but I wanted larger denominations than twenties, and therefore would like to exchange some $20 bills for some $100 bills.. She asked me if I was a customer of the bank. I replied that I was; I had just paid a $3.50 ATM service fee to Chase. She stated that paying the fee didn't make me a customer. I replied, "Actually, it does. That's how a customer transaction works. I pay Chase for services (in this case, the use of your ATM), you take my money, and I receive the services. Textbook customer process." "He definitely has you there", someone behind me in line murmured. She then said, smiling though clenched teeth, "I meant, are you an account-holder, and I'm assuming you're not an account-holder". "Nope, I'm not an account-holder here. But, I am a customer. Are you unable to give me larger bills, then? Somewhat dismissively (but still smiling), she said that what I wanted was against company policy. "Poorly-written policy, then. Why don't you call the head teller over here? Perhaps this can be resolved quickly, if we apply different logic skills to it." Now she turned very icy. "Policy is policy; no one can change it". "Well, let's give it a shot, what do you say?" "She's at lunch. You'll have to come back later." Then a thin smile. I gazed at her with some small measure of irritation. "It seems you've won this skirmish, then, doesn't it? I can't come back later, and I certainly can't wait here for her to come back from lunch. It's a pyrrhic victory, but I don't think that's important to you." The same person behind me said, in a loud voice, "Jesus, this would have all been over by now if you had just changed out the money! Give the guy his money! There's no risk to the bank; he's giving you cash, and you're giving him cash back. It's not like he's trying to cash a check here. C'mon!" I turned, and addressed the now-longer line. "Folks, my apologies. Sorry I held you up." And then I left. No reason to spend more time and energy on it. C'est la vie. read more

I had an appointment at this location to open a small business account. Appointment time was at 12pm. I was informed that the person I was initially scheduled with had called in sick and they would figure out who would see me. I was told that the person that would see me had just started their lunch and asked if I would be able to wait until 12:30pm. I agreed, did some shopping and came back at 12:30pm. When I walked in, there were 3 chase employees in the lobby. 2 behind the counter and one in front of the counter conversing with another employee behind the counter. There were no customers in the lobby other than myself. I did a general hello to everyone. Not one person acknowledged me. So I walked to the woman at the end of the counter and she tells me that the person at the other end of the counter can help me. I head towards that way and no one still even made eye contact. So I head straight for the door, and I hear the lady saying hello to my back as I exit. I call chase customer service only to get someone on the phone with a poor connection and heavy accent to relay my complaint. I've been pretty satisfied with Chase over the years, however, this is unacceptable. Companies should be working to recruit and retain their customers. Slow service. Have had a number of problems with the ATM for depositing and withdrawing cash.

Piss poor customer service. Asked to leave simply because I was waiting for the branch to open to deposit a large check. If your employees have that much of an attitude then I'm sure many will bank elsewhere read more

Terrible service. Roped me in with the promise of their private client service . Ever since I signed up service has been awful. I was in this morning and waiting to see a banker. Both people I see were on vacation. Bob the person I needed to see was busy doing something without a client at his desk. The manager came by three times asking every banker to take me but they were all busy, again no clients at their desks. Finally got my turn only to be told she can't help me I need to go to bob. I asked the manager why she sent me here and when there was no valid reason I left. So much for private client service... Chase you can take a hint form McDonald's always put the customer first! read more
