It should be zero stars, not one. We have our mortgage through them and after experiencing hail…read moredamage, LNB, was absolutely horrible throughout the entire process. We spent weeks after the damage trying to coordinate with insurance and providers to fix our home. This included hours to be available and have to take off work while we get quotes, inspection, etc. This was actually the easy part!!! We received our check from insurance and deposited the check that was signed by the bank as well. From there on our every single thing was a process that included emails and phone calls and time spent to actually get access to pay the providers to do the work. I've spent so much time on this that LNB should be paying me per diem for the hours I'm putting in. We had different providers that we needed to contact with because the roofer does not do siding work. 1st issue - the roof is done and all paperwork and contract are sent to LNB. Can we pay for the roof now? LNB says I have to come into the bank. Thats not exactly convenient due to my schedule so I ask are there alternative ways to get them paid such as electronically considering we are in the 21st century and I was told no until I spoke with the manager. Then there were alternatives but wait! We really are only supposed to give half of the funds out at this time. But what about the roofer? Surely, he should get the full amount. Well it needs to be approved and finally it's approved and the actual money that was sent from the insurance is now in the hands of the person that completed the roof!!! Well done and thanks for taking up my time on this! 2nd issue - hey LNB we signed a contract to do our siding and here are the documents and contract. The siding company needs some money to purchase supplies. Oh geez, thats something I'm going to have to get approved because LNB would need it to be completed to get paid. Ummm, they need some of the money to do the work. Ok, let me see if I can get approval. Again, we don't have money in the account to utilize it and complete the job we have to go through this ridiculous process just to get the work started. They heard back and they can release the money requested from contractor! Hooray! 3rd issue - oh and after the work is done we need to do an inspection. Sure, come on over whenever you want! Oh, but who is paying for this inspection? Well it's $150 and we usually take it out of the insurance funds. Oh, I see. Was that something the insurance coverage put in there to be done? Well, no not specifically. Ok but we are not requesting an inspection and insurance is not requesting an inspection so surely the entity that wants the inspection would be covering this? No, actually if you don't complete the inspection we can hold the insurance funds. Got it! Here's a better idea for LNB. The next time we have an insurance claim on our house and you keep control over the funds I think you should file the claim, coordinate with providers for quotes, schedule the service and compensate them with the insurance money. It's all good. We are currently looking to change our mortgage provider and never walk into one of your banks again. Thanks for the amazing customer service. As you say, "it's all about people".
