Whatever business I need to do, happens with efficiency, consistently and without delays

I would leave zero stars if I could. Husband went I to branch on Monday and deposited a check with teller and got cash from that check. It's now Thursday and the check is still not in my account. Husband went into bank on Wednesday to ask about this b/c the funds should be available immediately on Monday when he deposited. On Wednesday, bank said they don't know what happened and they can see the check on their end and it should show up in account on Thursday. It's not there. This branch also does not answer their phone so now I have to pack up my kids and drive to this useless branch and argue about my money that they've mysteriously disappeared. Insane. read more

This location is by far the worst Chase branch in terms of speed of service in the Encino/Tarzana/Sherman Oaks vicinity. Irregardless of whether there's 1 person or 3 people ahead of you, you will be waiting LONG periods of time to get to the teller. I once waited about 10 minutes with only 2 people ahead that were already with tellers. There's no sense of urgency here. The other bankers that seem to walk by just looks at the long line of patrons and don't even say a word. A little "Thank you for your patience..." goes a long way. One thing I'll give them here is that most of the tellers that I've encountered are pleasant and friendly. Some talk more than others, but I'd always choose a friendly smile over a sour face after having made to wait a while. Management, please just do something about the speed of service. Chase Bank Main in Encino CA. No one ever answers the phone. You get a recording that does not take a message. This is ongoing, the way they do business, even a year ago. The manager won't call you back even when they are e-mailed from a complaint to a supervisor at the main number. The supervisor tried to reach her by phone and reached a non working number. Had the same problem with her last year. She should be terminated. read more

I have been a long time customer at this bank with several accounts. You can never reach anyone in the branch. The phone number for them is to online banking. So frustrating. On the fifth attempt when I asked to be transferred to the branch, the guy on the phone said "one moment" , and nothing ever happened. Put a phone number on your website so customers can reach someone inside the bank. Duh! read more

Love this branch. It's so personal, and everyone there remembers you each time you walk in. A bank is a bank, so there's not much to write about in terms of a review, except that the people who work there are amazing, very friendly, and are more than willing to go above and beyond their job descriptions to help a customer out. Plus, chase is just better than BoFA, and Wells Fargo combined. (I can't stand those banks). read more

Always a wait to see a banker. Have come here three times to do something that needed a banker- for some reason the teller couldn't do it.

Sometimes a business reads a bad review and reaches out to see what they can do to improve. Not in this case. They finally approved a loan, (for about 1/2 of what I needed), but with MORE documentation needed. Wow. In the meantime, I applied elsewhere, and in 8 days was approved for the entire amount and we close the deal next week. This proves why you should avoid this Chase branch at all cost. read more

I don't even live near here and I want to start coming to this bank regularly. Believe it or not, I had been to five other banks in the last few months trying to close a bank account that no other banker could figure out how to close. It's a long story, but Mario O. was able to help me figure out all my banking issues pretty much immediately after all the other banks and bankers were basically just stumped. Five stars because Mario is basically a banking genius and not only solved my problems but did it with so much patience and understanding. read more

I came in on 7/9/2016 with my tail between my legs and spirit completely broken due to a private issue that is quite complicated and I will not discuss here. Needless to say I needed help negotiating my issue and I knew it can sometimes be a difficult process waiting In line and talking with someone during busy work hours. Not at this Chase bank location. I waited literally a minute before being greeted and helped with my problem. A wonderfully thoughtful and extremely helpful lady name Jannette Garcia (I dont want to butcher her last name so I'll leave that out) listened to my problem and provided me with solutions. She also made the extra effort to talk with someone in customer service on my behalf concerning the issue. Together they worked through the problem thoroughly and efficiently resulting in a very satisfactory outcome. I was blown away. Something that has been plaguing me for over a year was rectified in 15 minutes by Jannette and a big weight was lifted off my shoulders. In this day and age there is costumer service everywhere, but it seem more and more difficult to find someone who actually listens, understands, and most importantly sympathizes with your dilemma. In fact it seems most places are just looking for a way not to HAVE to help you. To be clear, I am not someone with millions of dollars in the bank, and to see a bank like Chase care about everyone one of their customers and to prioritize me as if I was one of their "big fish" is amazing. It also is truly refreshing to have a person like Jannette make such a huge difference in my day, or week or month for that matter. Chase has a lot of things going for it, many locations, convenient ATM's and at this particular location great employees...especially in Janette. Thank you for your help Chase and Jannette, and although I am not a "big fish" you certainly made me feel like one. read more

Thank you CHRIS KHACHATRYAN chase Ventura Encino I had a problem with my account. Chase hold my account due to a personal info needed. I went to chase Burbank. I gave a copy to them and told me that they will upload it in the system and after 24 hrs my account and credit card will be unlock. They made an assurance since that is my only available time and i will be out of the country by Monday. I work for 12 hrs everyday and as soon as i'm off they are close already. The next day i waited and waited but nothing happened. I'm so worried because my salary is at stake. I need to go for a break because usually during breaktime i only take a nap. This time i need to run to the chase even it is very cold with my hospital uniform. It's like CHASING CHASE. I went to CHASE VENTURA, i met Chris Kahachatyan. He was very helpful and accommodating. I told him i'm sorry but i'm in a hurry if he can help me. He let me sign, upload it to the system snd called the bank. He finish it for 15-20 mns. After that my salary was able to be deposited and i feel relieved. That is customer satisfaction . I hope his company will recognize him for doing an excellent job and he has passion to help people like me even if my english level is average. On a scale of 1-5 .. if only i can rate him 10, i will. Many thanks to Ching S. for recommending Chris Khachatryan at Chase Bank in Encino. For the past month or so, I've had repeated issues at several other Chase branches - to the point where I was ready to close and move all of my longstanding accounts. As a last resort, due to positive Yelp reviews of this branch, and Chris in particular - I went to him with my issues and frustrations. Chris took the time to listen to my concerns and kept his word to figure out why I was having these problems, which are hopefully now resolved. I wish I could give less than 1 star. This branch doesn't give a rats posterior about its customers. 25 minutes waiting in line. I they have 2 tellers and a manager. One machine breaks down and they have the manager and the teller working to fix the machine while the line has 7 people waiting and one of them is an elderly woman. They won't stop working on it and move the available teller to another window and the manager won't even take the initiative to open a window himself. They then make us use the automated machine and I ask if the amount of bills is too many for the machine and he said it would be ok. Lo and beheld, too many bills to deposit in the machine. I then have to cancel the transaction and wait for the one teller available. This place is a joke. This is Bank of America service. Not Chase read more

I will outline my experience at this branch - today at about 11am. I walked into the branch to deposit checks and some cash. I walked into the branch an older woman followed me in and began yelling at me about hurting her bird. Clearly she was mentally disturbed because she began yelling at other patrons as they walked into the bank as well. I walked into the teller line and she continued to yell at people and I saw at least two people walk out of the bank because she was so loud and seemed like she would attack. When I got to the teller, I told the teller "you may want to take care of this issue" and I pointed behind me where the lady was screaming. The teller looked lost. I repeated and pointed. Do you SEE AND HEAR this woman? Take care of it. She asked how she should take care of it. I said "maybe call the cops before it gets out of hand?" And this point the lady was blocking the exit. Since she was blocking the exit and I was not in the mood to get into any altercation, I remained in the bank and took a seat. Waiting. A manager comes out and says to me "can I help you?" The only other person in the bank at this point was another gentleman with a laptop also sitting in the area with chairs and tables. The lady was now screaming at him. The manager asked me if I needed help. I said no. She said "well the teller said you need help". No. I don't need help. You have a mentally disturbed woman screaming at patrons and blocking the exit. The manager then said to me "if you have a personal issue you need to take it outside. I won't call the cops for you" AMAZING. "For me?" I asked. I don't own this bank. The manager insisted that I , personally, take care of the issue. Like it was my problem. The screaming lady got distracted by another patron and I ran out without finishing my deposit. I have since closed my account at Chase and will be doing business elsewhere. Maybe somewhere that has employees that use their brains and don't look like they are caught off guard when you ask them a simple question. If that woman hurts someone in the branch - this review is PROOF that the branch was ON NOTICE of a dangerous condition on their property and refused to do anything and in fact, asked me to do their work. I guess this is a review for just being a bad person. I am a doctor and if I treated patients the way Eegil Balchindorj treated my family, I would be ashamed. First we went to start a savings account for my daughter and she was not very helpful, to say the least. Seemed to be rushing my husband and not very interested in his business. FINE, not a big deal. Well we returned today with a huge crisis where our bank accounts were actively being emptied by a scammer. Instead of being accommodating when asking for help in withdrawing our money and freezing our account, my husband was told by Eegil Balchindori that he could handle this at the ATM. Well, as she should know, ATMs have a limit to them, therefore emptying an account is not anything that is appropriately handled at an atm machine. Now let me contrast this behavior to behavior I received at the CHASE bank on Westwood Blvd. I entered, told the teller my concerns and was assured by multiple team members that I would be addressed asap. The banker sat with me for 30 minutes looking through transactions, talking to the fraud department and eventually starting new accounts. Ms. Balchindori on the other hand did not even provide my husband with options for addressing the fraud that was actively occurring on our account. Maybe I am being unreasonable to expect customer service and just a little bit of compassion from your bankers. I do know that if I saw a patient of mine in crisis I would do whatever necessary to make the process smoother. I highly encourage this Chase to work on their customer service because obviously other locations prove that good customer service is not impossible. In the end, I guess this is just a review to say that the people running this chase are just not good people but maybe they are better at banking. read more
