I hate the customer service at this branch. Maybe it's bankwide, but every time i go in to talk to…read morea banker, they're always pushing some service I don't want or maybe already have.
I was in there today with a simple question: I was inappropriately charged a fee; can i get a refund?
The answer was: let's take a look at all of your information, is this your phone/address/email?, this is what type of checking account you have, it doesn't have any monthly service fees because you have direct deposit, you get points with your credit card when you make purchases, you don't get charged interest is you pay off your balance within 30 days, how often do you use your checking card?, you could be earning points whenever you use your checking card, there's a free points program and a premium points program, you can sign up for either of these online, and...let's see, what was your question again?
OH MY FUCKING GOD. All I wanted was a goddamn refund on a $10 charge! I had to talk to two people just to get to see a personal banker who couldn't even help me with what I wanted. He said his manager would have to look it over and he'd call me within 24 hours. Over $10.
I know all this shit isn't the employee being a dick, it's Chase's awful customer service policies. Just answer my question directly and let me get out of there.
Once, at this same branch, I was in line for the teller to make a deposit and a personal banker came over, pulled me out of line, sat me down and went over this whole spiel while a second banker ran my deposit to the teller window. When I told them both that that experience was weird, they said, "No, it's not," like I was wrong to be a little freaked out.
If you're running a business, and your customer says, "This makes me uncomfortable," then DON'T TELL THEM THEY'RE WRONG.
