    Saturday Dec 21: I would give them 0 stars if I could. My mother was a long time customer of…read moreBankFinancial.Over 20 years. I have been on her accounts as a joint signer for over 10 years. Sadly my mom passed away December 5th. I went to the bank myself right after her funeral ( with her death certificate and her legal original will in hand) to notify them of her passing. At that time I also expressed that my siblings and I will continue to pay her mortgage (a small amount left) and household Bill's from the accounts her and I held together. I am also clearly listed as executor of her estate. The banker even ordered me a new debit card as primary holder of the accounts. My sister, brother and I all made cash deposits into said accounts over the next few days. On December 17th at 8 pm I received an email that the checking account had a -32,000.00 balance. THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NO WAY! I called off of my job to be at the bank the next day at 9am. Again I brought all the documents I had. Someone in the mortgage department froze all of my accounts. I spent hours sitting there and getting absolutely no answers as the lady trying to help me was getting the run around on every call she made. I've demanded to speak to the bank manager who was "unavailable " and told he would call me. I got 2 more calls saying someone would contact me and now they're asking me how much life insurance my mom had. I did not disclose that. Finally over 24 hrs later the manager Matt calls me acting all sympathetic and promises me I'd be called by Debra from the mortgage department. I also get emails from them saying I can call them and they'll see if they can release "some" money to my moms creditors. BankFinancial is NOT my moms executor. I AM. Now 2 more days have passed and its Saturday and still no call. They even locked me out of online access to see what transactions are taking place. Then I find out a previously scheduled payment to my moms credit card was denied. All I want to do is sit down with someone and straighten this mess out so I can continue paying household bills. My mother and myself have excellent financial credit and there has never been 1 late payment on anything. They've just shut me out like I'm a criminal. They are avoiding any conversation. Now I'm faced with hiring an attorney out of my own pocket which is placing financial strain on my home. If they're so worried about the mortgage balance of 38,000.00 why won't they meet with me and my siblings to discuss our options? We are fully prepared to continue payment and keep the mortgage in it's perfect standing state. I expressed that from day one. My siblings actually still live in the home. We have every reason in the world to protect it. I completely understand there are legal things that need to occur and I'm 100% willing to deal with that, however they are WRONG for not even having a discussion with me about how we can move forward. We all have full time jobs and work hard to take care of our business. My mother spent years talking about how shes taken steps to make sure we were protected when the time came. I've sat with her many times at this very bank as she talked with bankers and lenders. She/we were always told everything is fine. Clearly it is not. BANKFINACIAL in Chicago Ridge, Il is trying to break us. All I want is a meeting to discuss options and they are refusing my request. Think twice before using this bank and if you already do, you should reconsider your options before they lock you out. Update Dec 21, 2019 7pm. My sister and I went back into BankFinancial again at 11am only to obtain a phone number for the lady Debra M. That was supposed to call me yesterday. The employee I spoke to recognized me immediately and stated Joyce was not there. I told her I do not need to speak to joyce. I requested Debra M.'s number. She would not give me any phone numbers to any person in the mortgage or legal department and told me Legal would be calling me. I calmly told her over and over i need a phone number for the mortgage and or legal department and again was told she could not help me. Another teller told her to tell me nobody is here... they will call. They are refusing to provide me with any customer service whatsoever.

    Yadda! Yadda! Yadda! First it's "...I'll get you 5.25%, then it's 5.5%, then oops, it just went to…read more6.0%, then it's 6.0% plus $500 non-refundable, then it's all that plus $5000 to "package" the loan whatever that is and then it's 6.0% adjusting rapidly....! Weeks and weeks wasted! Go elsewhere if you're shopping for financing! Good luck!

I have moved away but my mother continues to bank here, and we only have good things to say. The biggest shout out at this branch is for Piero Pannarale, Wealth Management Advisor. He has been working with our family almost since the start of our banking here and he always goes above and beyond to make sure we have what we need. Piero is an honest, trustworthy, and caring person. He will take the time needed to make sure everything gets done successfully and is extremely thorough. The amount of time and dedication he gives us is unparalleled. He is the best financial advisor any of us have ever worked with and we are so thankful for him! The…read moreATM outside of the Countryside branch location on 55th St. I have been banking there for several years accepting that direct deposits and electronic refunds take 10 days for them to resolve. I'm a senior citizen on a fixed income, for me to have $200 at the end of the month is unusual, using the ATM was habit. This bank refuses to do a thing other than file a dispute on themselves. How ridiculous that they can take your cash money and tell you to wait ten days for them to figure out a mechanical error, meanwhile leaving me with absolutely no recourse whatsoever. The day they figure this out, I will be closing my accounts and moving elsewhere. This bank has proven unreliable by accepting fraudulent charges and not recognizing that I'm not in New Jersey ordering 36 pizzas. This disappearing cash trick is a new one on me. SO BEWARE OF THE ATM and poor Banking practices. STAY FAR AWAY FROM USBANK. COUNTRYSIDE, IL
