When we first walked in, I thought we'd have a lengthy wait but thankfully I was mistaken. Upon seeing us walk in looking a bit perplexed, a very nice woman came over to us and told us to have a seat and someone would be right with us. We needed customer service as opposed to teller service and we were unsure of the process so we were quite relieved when one of the reps came over to take our names and show us where to sit. We didn't have to wait more than 10 minutes until another rep came over to assist us. He too was very professional and friendly and most importantly did not rush us. Very happy with our experience at this Chase branch. read more

I'd like to leave a 5-star review for Chase Bank Officer Natia Darchia who works in the branch located at 2623 E 17th Street in Brooklyn, NY. Natia Darchia provided an outstanding customer service and exceeded all of my expectations with her professionalism and knowledge. From the moment I walked in, she was patient, attentive, and genuinely focused on helping me with my needs. She took the time to explain everything clearly, guided me through each step, and made the entire process smooth. Besides helping me to open a checking account, Natia even went above and beyond explaining to me about opening a savings account toward my future retirement. It is rare to meet someone who combines expertise with such a warm and supportive attitude. Natia is a great asset to Chase, and I am grateful for her assistance. I highly recommend working with her to anyone who wants a truly exceptional banking experience! read more

Worst banking experience! I showed up 1 hour before closing, to open another checking account (I'm already a customer). 1 person ahead of me on the sign-in sheet. After a polite greeting, I'm told that I have to come back another day since it takes over an hour to open an account! Absurd. Has never taken me more than 15 min at another branch. Branch manager shows up and tells me they have new systems and that's why it takes so long. I left in disgust and when I called Chase to complaint, the answer back was "these are difficult times and you should've made an appointment." Time to drop Chase and move my business elsewhere. Plenty of other banks in NYC who actually care about their customer experience. read more

This branch on E. 17th St. is the closest one to me. They have not had a notary for the past few years. When I went there recently to find out if they had gotten one, one of the male employees tells me that notary service "is not a banking service." Oh really?? He refers me to some local pharmacy that has one. That is such BS. Most other Chase branches have notaries, including the one on Nostrand Ave and Ave Y. read more

From the beginning of my business, I have chosen Chase Bank as a reliable partner in the conduct of my business. Like any successful company, I had significant prospects for expanding my activities and, like many small business companies, I had the issue of financing new projects. I turned to Chase Bank on Shepsheadbay and fell into the reliable and professional hands of Valeria. Why reliable and professional? I talked about my business, about my plans and my requests. The answers she gave me were amazing. She not only told me about the tools offered by Chase Bank that will solve my request today, but also in the right way told about other products and opportunities that I can get. I used to plan my activities and next steps in business. After our communication with her, I had an additional understanding of what bank opportunities I would use in 2-3 years for the successful prosperity of my business. I especially want to highlight how attentive she was when accompanying me as a client and how important and promptly she notified me about all the news regarding my issue. I highly recommend Valeria as a specialist and professional at Chase Bank at Sheepsheadbay! read more

I've had highly upsetting series of events that I experienced on the evening of Friday, July 24 at the Chase branch located at 2623 East 17th Street in Brooklyn, NY. I was helped by a teller named Elena. I explained to her my need to withdraw cash was that she was incapable of wearing her mask properly so as to protect myself and the other clients she interacted with. Despite this, I kindly asked Elena if it were possible for her to give me new banknotes because my country (Ukraine) that I am travelling to does not like to accept the older version of $100 notes. Elena, looked at me with disgust and annoyance and said "Oh right, I know your country. But I cannot control which notes you receive; I must give you what the machine gives." I calmly and nicely explained to her that I had done this many times with other tellers at the branch, which is when Elena began to scream at me, saying again that it was not up to her choosing which notes I received, and even told me that I "should better understand how a bank works." I told her that she could not speak to me the way she was. After continuing to yell at me, Elena finally got me the notes I asked for, showing me that this was possible all along, and, instead of sliding the envelope to me, she threw the envelope at me, continuing to treat me like I was less than her, like she had since the beginning of my experience with her.I am very unsettled by this heinous turn of events, one that I believe is rooted in ethnocentrism, as Elena said to me "oh right, I know your country" with disdain and disgust in her voice. I expect something to be done to rectify this issue so that I can continue to use this branch safely and without fear of being verbally attacked once again. read more

Almost to weeks passed already and ai did not receive any phone calls. "Great" exclusive invitation!! read more

Poor customer service. Coming in and asking two employees where I can get some help, only to sit down and wait while workers are on their phone. Finally left after 10 mins. of waste of time. I would understand if it was crowded. It wasn't! Was the only one waiting. Never had this horrible service with Chase. read more

The worst experience ever . 40 min wait in the middle of the day. Seems like nobody is working. Nobody greeted or said anything. When I finally found somebody to ask whats going on , they answered that two bankers had an emergency and had to leave. 5 people were sitting with me waiting and line wasnt moving. Who has time for that ??? read more

I love this branch and Chase in general. All of the bankers and tellers are very friendly. I go to this branch at least ones a day to deposit checks for my business and it takes no time to do it. Really fast service compared to other branches. Most of the time there is parking available which is also really convenient. read more

With only two atm's for the entire neighborhood of sheepshead bay, and with usually none working, I am taking my business elsewhere. If you're going to close a an entire branch near near by you have to add more ATM machines to serve customers after hours. Saw a poor guy the other day get into a huge fight with a car service for not being able to withdraw money from the two ATM machines that were out of order. read more

they had a promotion which required direct deposit within 60 days. they submitted a soc.security form to soc. sec. then they told me that it could take 6-8 wks or more. so therefore, that 60 day period is very misleading. they probably have many accounts that they got away with not having to pay the bonus. very tricky.i finally made the request from soc.sec. which was very easy. it went into the acct past the 60 days. so because of chase's incompetence they refused to make amends. i think this 60 day period should be looked into. i will shortly be closing all my accts with chase.the system stinks but the employees are great. they're just following a terrible system. larry brooklyn read more

This bank pulls the old bait and switch. The branch is the Nostrand ave branch between ave y and z I've had an account with them for several years. I closed my accounts with sterling bank because they're closing my local branch. Long story short: I was told by two different reps that I would get a bonus if o deposited new money in the existing account. I was asked to wait until Alex is in and to do business with him, as this is his specialty. Told me come in on Monday. Came in last Monday and was told by another rep that Alex was on vacation. He told me to wait and he'll call him. He comes back and asks to to wait until 8/12 and come back. He told me once he looked in his computer that I'd be getting a $1200 bonus for the deposit that I'd be making. So I held onto the two checks. I went back today and saw Alex. His response was that I don't qualify for the bonus because I needed to deposit 250k. I now lost my composure and went off on him and the 2nd guy that lied to me. He just sat there and told me that he originally said to speak to Alex about the details. He had no answer when I called him a liar. This is a huge bank and they play these games. read more

I thought after all these years this branch would be different but still the same. That was the reason I left chase the first place but this time I'm not going to change bank again because of one branch so I figure this would be a good way to express my experience. This branch is the worst customer service I have ever experienced with any bank. Yes the initial greeting was smiley & friendly but the competency & cutesy of these people is totally unacceptable. As simple as cashing a few checks they are not willing to do for me.. I have way enough money in there to cover what I need but they said you cannot cash checks here, they said why don't you deposit them and then withdraw. Stupid if that's what I wanted to do I wouldn't ask you to cash for me the first place! They said there's something on your account that doesn't allow me to cash. Bullshit! They just don't want to cash for me because I am not Russian! One time I went to withdraw they gave me a hard time as well. Seems like they love to take your money but when you want it they don't want to give it. So I went to another branch on Coney Island Ave and the teller there was very friendly and helpful, she said of course you may cash your checks as long as you have money in your account to cover it and you do. Next time if they don't cash it for you ask to speak to the manager. Well it might not make a difference because in this branch the manager is the same shit! If you want to bank with Chase which I do recommend, just don't ever go to this branch on Ave Z & E 17th street. read more
