Wildly variable customer service here. Had an issue I preferred to go over wtih a person instead of waiting on hold. The teller up front didn't understand my issue, then said she "didn't want to upset me" when I expressed frustration at her inability to understand. She told me to wait, then another lady asked if I need help. I explained the whole thing again - eventually, she set me up with credits cards on a phone call. I explained a third time - the phone rep was very helpful, and I left with my problem resolved. However, I found the teller rude and invalidating. While I could have explained better, she failed to see my frustration at the situation not her personally. As I work in customer service, I take customer interactions very seriously, and she absolutely failed in treating me respectfully and politely. The second rep at least directed me to the right area, however, overall, this bank's staff are rude invalidating and acted like I was bothering them coming in with a problem. Chase in general treats me well, has good offers, but if you need in person help and someone to patiently listen to you, go to another branch for that experience. Although, it seems this is the world we live in today - doing everybody else's job, including my own, makes for a poor society and an unraveling of our country's fabric. So every time I go through the ATM's here they have trouble reading my card. I don't have any issues using my card anywhere else just at these overly sensitive ATM's. One day I tried the ATM and it didn't work out at all.. I swiped and swiped but it would not read my card. I decided to go inside the bank. I got out of the car went in and there was line that was just about out the door. I waited in the line for around 20 minutes and finally got to the counter. I explained the ATM never works and said I should get a new card. I got on top of getting a new card but honestly I didn't think the issue is my card. So my new card came in and I stopped by the ATM again today and sure enough ... it failed to read I swiped and swiped and it finally worked out. So yeah .. I'm pretty sure the issue isn't my card. read more

Initially, we were upset at having to wait an hour just to add on an additional account, but Junior was so great and professional. He really took his time explaining all of our options and making sure we were presented with all opportunities for a great banking experience. Most bankers would have been more concerned with keeping the line moving and not spending as much time with their clients, but I am glad that was not the case with Junior. This location is awful. Always a long wait and the ATM machines are old and out of service all the time. Staff is rude and acts like you are annoying them. I went to get a temporary debit card today as mine was stolen and I need a card for an upcoming trip. I was told "pull your money out or use Apple Pay" by the rudest employee ever. After being told I there was no one else I could speak with, I left and called the chase phone line and was informed in 2 minutes by a helpful person that I could order an expedited card in 1-2 days for 5$. Why didn't the employee tel em that? Because she didn't care about me or helping. Avoid this branch, driving to another one is worth the time. read more

I opened a new bank account here as soon as I moved to Austin - because I can literally see this bank from my apartment community's parking lot and because Chase is everywhere in Texas, I figured they'd be the convenient choice. Right.... and wrong. Though the affable associates have always been quick to attend to my banking needs, it's a bit (okay, VERY) annoying that my card often has holds placed on it when I travel (which is often). Recently, I was purchasing champagne on New Year's Eve in Chicago and my card was declined. Besides the embarrassment factor, I had to walk several cold blocks to the nearest Chase bank after the hold time turned out to be too long on the phone. Once in front of a sales associate who verified my identity while confirming with a fraud associate on a phone call, I was still required to get on the phone with the fraud specialist to confirm the charges. May as well have hung out on hold in the liquor store. Just tonight, my card was declined while attempting to purchase a Rail Europe ticket from Sevilla to Madrid, Spain. After jumping on the phone and talking to two different people in two departments, the hold was finally lifted so I could complete my transaction. Yes, the nice and always helpful folks at Chase have 'made notes' in my account indicating that I'm a frequent traveler but I have yet to feel the difference. I really appreciate that Chase provides the highest level of banking security I've ever encountered, but I do feel their fraud detection algorithm is way sensitive. I wouldn't mind it if the process was consistent, but it's not: sometimes I receive a text message by which I can verify I am indeed initiating the transaction; and at other times, I am forced to call Chase. It's no wonder I use my credit cards more often that I use my debit card... I know I can rely on them! And that's a bit sad. read more

I had an absolutely amazing experience with Nacho today. I've been a chase customer for years and never have felt any particular reason to complain or praise the bank, but today has changed that. Not only did he answer any and every question I had today, but I felt he went out of his way to help me out in getting a new account/card. I was moderately embarrassed because I am massively I'll-informed on credit/apr/etc but he was sure to not embarrass me further and explained everything in detail. Nacho made my day :) read more

Stopped by this location to make a cash deposit and absolutely loved the customer service. Upon entrance, I was approached by a worker that assisted me on the machine to make my deposit. There are also beverages (coffee, tea and water) available near the entrance as well as tissues and candy. Talk about freebies! They also have clean public restrooms available but you will need the staff to open it for you. Overall, I had a great experience and everyone was so nice! read more

DON'T USE THEIR ATM's! I don't know who rigged up the atm but theirs some fraud and scamming going on somewhere. I went to the atm and it never gave me my $200 dollars when I called the number on that fake ass receipt they said I had to do a claim and then go into the bank with the claim number and that chase would give me my money back when the rep transfer me over to the claim department the guy claim he couldn't help me because I didn't have a chase account. I went into the bank the hostess said she couldn't help me either to call the number on the receipt. All I know the bank is in on the bullshit she tells me to call mee bank and get the money back from my bank I saying this is fraud because guess what the transaction disappeared from my transaction history in my online account the online record I have of this bullshit going down is my notifications and the damn receipt if that's not weird funky shit i don't know what is. When I called my bank they said the money went back to my account bullshit & lies I don't care what the computer the money ain't adding up, I know what my starting balance was and nothing adding up didn't shit go back to my account as we know chase has a long history of taking peoples money now they are scamming using their atm's to make up for their losses. I am a Chase customer and this location is OK. It seems to be busy a lot. I tend to stop and use the ATM here often because it is in my most traveled path. Depending on the time of the day you may be stuck in line for the ATM or teller station for a bit. If you stop by late at night it is usually fine, unless it is a Friday or Saturday night, then there still might be a line at the ATM. The few times I have gone inside here the staff was friendly. I also find this location difficult to get in and out of at times, especially if you are headed west on Stassney. read more

I've been a Chase customer since i've moved to Austin in 2004 and though I have not been all that satisfied with some services and in dealing with them over the phone, it is better to always discuss in person. Mindy Rodriguez is the branch manager of this location and she is like anybody else; If you're going to exert aggressiveness, so will she. She happened to be very helpful on resolving my very simple situation on many occasions that any Chase telecom operator would not. What I would recommend is not to get to frustrated when calling or going into any bank, otherwise youre better off stuffing your cash under your mattress. On another note, Chase bank is up to par with the latest global bank technology, plus they have a fraud alert system that actually refunded asap what scammers got a hold of. Though, I've had my fair share of overspending mistakes, Chase helped me grow and learn along those lines of overdraft fees like any other bank would do. Their APR Rates are pretty competitive now, they still open up locales closer nearby, credit offers and array of rewards cards are high up there in the ranking, non in-bank transactions are a LOT easier than it used to be so I give them 4 or so stars. read more

Like with any bank, there are pros and cons to this branch. Still, Chase has done a lot to give the customers independence and more power over how they handle their money. I rarely deal with tellers because they taught me how to navigate through all my resources. Of course you may want to get a money order or cashiers check but trust me, they're cheaper in other places (there's a con). Now if you haven't taken the time to LEARN and use your resources please do. It'll save you some stress then, if something does happen, you'll have a legitimate complaint. I have to say this: the service used to be great here, up until about a month ago, which is why I rated a 2 instead of a 1. This is the slowest bank I have ever been to in my entire life. It literally takes a half hour each time I go, since I have to wait in line the it takes an epic amount of time for them to process a deposit. It seems like they are either understaffed or under budgeted on busy days. Either way, it is slow. The people used to be so sweet I didn't even mind the speed, but now the girl at the window looks sour and annoyed, it also comes out in the tone. At the moment, I am very upset with Chase. I opened an account with them this week and had Chase assist with an international wire transfer. A day after I did the transfer, the vendor I was paying asked why it was sent with a different currency, so I asked Chase about this. They told me there was nothing I could do but to recall the wire, pay the fees and resend it. All of this the week before Thanksgiving, which puts delays on my product, and fines on the delays. We have tried to call the phone number listed on their cards they give out, which is the same one listed on Yelp, and they never answer. It's bad enough that in person they brush me off, but they won't even answer their phone. This is not a small amount of money they are playing with, and they don't care. read more
