Don't waste your time with these clowns! Here's the story:…read more I needed a business account for my new California LLC. I went online and chatted with a representative before heading to the branch, as I wanted to be sure I had all the paperwork I needed to complete everything. You might have thought he would have mentioned you have to have an appointment to open an account. He did't, you do, so I wasted a half hour mountain drive from my home to go there for nothing, then another half hour mountain drive home on a Friday. The woman at the Auburn branch took my paperwork, said it would not be for nothing as everything would be set up for my new Monday appointment and she would let me know in advance if anything else was needed. I go back on Monday, (another hour long round trip mountain drive) only to be informed that because I do not have a physical office, they will not open a business account. I find this hard to believe, there are no end to number of businesses that do not need nor have physical offices, but two women insisted this is the case. Also neither of them had ever heard of such a "strange thing" as a registered agent, something every corporation is required to have. They almost acted like I was trying to pull some sort of scam. So I have a physical address filed with the state with my registered agent, I have a business PO Box mailing address, and I have a local physical personal residence address, but nope, not good enough, you MUST have an office. Honestly, if they are this incompetent and uninformed, maybe this was a blessing in disguise. You try to do the right thing and support smaller businesses, but sometimes it just does not pay. Meet me half way guys! HUGE waste of time and displays of incompetence.

I finally got reimbursed after multiple calls, then my card was shut off for another week. This is the worst credit union ever. Do not give them your money. I actually had a scheduled appointment at 11:30 a.m. but with my work schedule, I had to see if I could get in sooner. As the bank opened its doors, there I was, ready to get down to business. Daniel was there to help me. I told him about my appointment, and he made sure to cancel it for me. It's nice to know on top of being able to schedule an appointment through the app, there is also a personal banker there for walk ins that need help. Daniel was very through about the information I needed and the information I needed to present. I had full confidence that he was the perfect person to talk to. After a phone call, being placed on hold, then gathering up some signatures, and faxing off my info, we were finally finished. The longest part was just us waiting on hold, but he was quick with the paperwork and as for the final outcome.. we were able to make everything official and it reflected in my account within about 5 business days. I recommend coming to this branch and speaking with Daniel if you have any questions about financing. He is very smart and I walked away feeling more confident (than before) about the business we discussed.

They said that they sent a verification text regarding the transaction and I replied yes. This is complete and absolute lie. I never responded to the text. I am so disappointed by the tactics of this banking institution and soon I will be closing my account and moving on. Shame on you, Golden1. You lost a good customer.

Wells Fargo Bank - Generic Wells Fargo Image

    Wells Fargo Bank

    (9 reviews)

Read through to the bottom is the recommendation…read more This review is for the Wells Fargo located on Hwy 49 & Bell in Auburn, CA. Wells Fargo stole $240.00 from four of my Savings Accounts with them, over the course of the past 5-6 months. Apparently, if the balance on an account dips below $1500.00, they take $12.00 for "Service Fee." So, in essence, I really do not have access to $6000.00 of my own money (4 x $1500.00)! Wells Fargo uses that money for loans and investments, so again, in essence, it is blackmail. "If you do not leave your money in our bank, we charge you $12.00 every month." Am I the only customer that did not know this? I have been a Wells Fargo customer since 1978, and stayed with them through all their financial problems, lawsuits, and fraudulent behavior, because they have always treated me, as a valued customer, and made things right. WELL, NO LONGER. I asked for all the $12.00 charges (all 20 of them) to be reversed because I was not aware of this new practice of theirs. The banker, Ampily Biju, who helped me was sweet and tried to credit back all the charges, but she was limited to only being able to credit two charges per account. She did a great job of explaining what she was doing throughout the whole process. But when I asked to speak to the bank manager, he came across as arrogant and rude. He stated that Ampily had explained to him what the situation was, and he stated that Wells Fargo has changed their policy (again, unbeknownst to me), and the branches are only allowed to credit two charges maximum on any account, in a twelve-month period. He further explained that this policy was to "treat everyone equally." It made absolutely no difference that I had been a customer for almost 50-years. Obviously, it no longer matters to Wells Fargo that they keep loyal customers anymore, because of the $144.00 in "Service Fees" (and making a lot of money from me, on interest, by financing the purchase of our two homes) they refuse to credit back to my accounts, they will be losing a faithful customer of 47-years. I may not have a lot of money, but Wells Fargo was founded on the basis of treating people fairly, and "Henry Wells demanded that courtesy dominate all transactions, and the company served all, regardless of creed, colour, or gender." This male bank manager basically told me (a woman) that my business is not valued by Wells Fargo any longer. I guess they have just gotten too big to care about the working class of people. "As one of the world's largest financial services institutions, the work we do at Wells Fargo brings real responsibility. It requires that we act with the highest standards of trust and integrity. Each day we make decisions in how to conduct our business and serve our customers and communities. This Code of Conduct, together with our Employee Handbook and other company policies, guides us in how to do the right thing in the right way." Excerpt taken from Wells Fargo's "Code of Conduct - Message from the CEO," Charles W. Scharf. This branch manager failed in his Code of Conduct by showing no empathy or concern for my complaint. No integrity when he stated, "It was not his fault that I do not monitor my bank accounts," to which I replied, "I should NOT have to." I should not have to look at my savings accounts every month to ensure that Wells Fargo is not stealing from me. My trust in this institution has been shattered.

We were unsuccessful with getting anywhere with another branch (the folks at that branch didn't know anything and weren't interesting in figuring things out). I decided to stop in at this location. The personal banker I worked with, Ms. Vargas, was extremely competent and helpful. She was extremely good at keeping me updated via email and had a "can-do" attitude. It took a couple of visits to get everything straightened out, but everything worked out in the end. I recommend this branch to anyone considering using this bank.

Unfortunately, this also means that EVERYTHING is based around their technology. i rarely go into the branch anymore, and when i do, no one knows me (they switch staff a lot as well). That makes it more difficult to carry on business, believe it or not: it's very cold and precise. I've had to ask questions concerning accounts, and the people in the branch have been absolutely clueless as to how to answer: they have to call the same 1-800 number that I would to get customer service. What kind of system is that?? When I go to First Northern, everyone knows who I am. i get business done (efficiently, I might add..) and have a pleasant experience. I feel like my money is taken care of. The staff at the desk all work well together, and do a wonderful job. This bank WANTS your business, and it shows in their high level of customer service. If you're looking for an investment firm, their department of Raymond James is really TOP NOTCH. Rhonda and Dave have worked together for years, and they really know their stuff. Excellent service, excellent work keeping my money safe and growing investments. I REALLY DO LOVE THIS BANK!
