During our walking tour of the downtown area my eye caught this place. So we had to explore. It's a small store stuffed floor to rafter in unique and odd items. Bear traps, stuffed wall mounted bear, modern "antique" cap & ball or black powder firearms. Add knives, Indian dream catchers, chain saw carvings, and a slew of other oddities and you have the makings of a great shop. All this with minimal souvenirs that are available at other local shops. This is a place we could have spent a lot more time exploring. We've be making a trip back here soon

I'm a disabled veteran with handicapped tags. The other car parked and a lady got out and was fussing at me. She said I'm using a handicapped spot. I told her to check my plate and that I'm a disabled veteran. Then she said, "you don't look like a veteran". . She proceeded to go to this store and open it for business. Not sure if she's the owner or not but she definitely works there and her bad behavior should affect the store.

Important to note is that this very store has been a large and significant part of Ruidoso history being a general store in the early 1900's and then becoming a curios shop later, and becoming what it a today. I told the sales clerk I needed a big fluffy brush to apply the makeup like he used. He didn't have a single brush but told me I could by this boxed set, that it has one for $35. I opened the boxed set the next day while packing to leave town for my son's wedding in TX and found it didn't have the large brush. I went back to the store after returning home and they wouldn't refund my money.

They have a few hundred laser cut wood signs with designs that are stock but they are eager to design something that is custom and one of a kind for you. One of the best things I found here today was a circle wood sign that you could get for your dog and the dogs picture was engraved into the wood. Totally cool and something I have never seen anywhere else. Prices were really good to in my opinion, for the stock pieces and custom. Best time you are in Ruidoso stop by and say hi. You'll want to stay a while!
