Having had a background in investigations, I actually did most of the work for him, and provided him with extensive details. Due to the sensitive nature of what I needed him to do, I received nothing - no photos, no reports, nothing. His dad was supposedly very ill and he was taking care of his dad, and there was covid, so he pretty much disappeared. $300+ out of my pocket later, I got NOTHING for the money paid. CASH. It will teach me to do better homework on people I hire. Its taking advantage of someone going through a very crappy situation and leaving them hanging. Fortunately for me, I have good friends that helped figure out the puzzle and provide information very helpful for my attorney. I wish he had not been so unprofessional and just disappear. Like my other review that I didn't want to go into detail and another review I read a couple of weeks ago. He made them disappear. Not cool. So just be aware, get a contract IN WRITING, don't pay in cash without a receipt and make sure he doesn't disappear. I think the ONLY review here was written by someone who knows him because we was NOT professional. Discreet, who knows. Professional? NO. No follow up, nothing

As a bonus, I found out later that he worked before hand with my chosen law firm on separate cases in the past. Reports, media generated as a result of his work were insightful and revealed compromising information about the opposing party that will be utilized in Family Court, on my case. Also, I received videos as well as pictures of my child that were priceless and filled me with joy. Cost of investigative services was affordable but be ready for a sticker shock. Kevin did everything he could to save money. He worked with me to determine a reasonable strategy to minimize cost that would also be effective in obtaining the information that I was after. This individually tailored approach definitely fit my budget and needs! Did I mention that some services were 'pro bono' and that all investigative actions were discrete? Kevin knows what he is doing and appears to be well versed in covert techniques. I would highly recommend Pinnacle Group Investigations services to anyone in need. From the very beginning, Susan was responsive, professional, and easy to talk to. I'm located in California, and she made the entire process incredibly convenient. Her pricing is very reasonable, and it's clear she is truly skilled at what she does. What stood out the most, though, was her kindness and patience. Most people who reach out to a PI are dealing with something sensitive -- and I was no exception. I was looking for someone from my past, and Susan handled everything with compassion, discretion, and a reassuring confidence that put me at ease.

My first conversation with the company, personally handled by the owner, left me feeling that I had finally found the right professional for my case. I was not wrong. Run, don't walk . . . away from this agency!…read more I hired them to do a background check on a person and explained that my attorney needed the information asap. On the original phone call, I was quoted $400 by the woman who answered the phone. Later, when I spoke with Jay Groob, the owner, he said for $2,500 he could do a "complete" check. My biggest concern was that this person was married and/or divorced in New York, and we needed that verification. I provided Jay with names, dates, addresses, etc. because I had already done some checking myself. I explained that I couldn't get any more information on the marital status in New York because I was told that information would only be given to the married parties. When I asked him about that, he said he had "other ways." Five weeks later, our attorney still had no report. I assumed it was because he was doing the "thorough" investigation he promised. We had to call to finally receive the report; and when it was received, it didn't contain the criminal portion. . . . thus, another phone call to them. They then sent the criminal portion and said it was a mistake that it wasn't done. Also, we discovered later that the person in question was very nervous about what the findings would reveal. Well, they didn't reveal much because I believe only perfunctory work was done. His "ways" were only a "way" to get $2,500 versus $400. Run . . . don't walk!
