I bought a refrigerator for 800.00 I payed for delivery. They delivered the refrigerator to my home. They plug the power cord in the outlet. But when it came to installation for the water from the kitchen sink to the refrigerator port dispenser, They refused to install. The ppl made an excuse and told me , l can do this myself, " its not hard to do".. I can not make this up. So I had no water for almost a week. I had to go on YouTube to install it myself. Smh. 6 months later the freon leak out, and the refrigerator was DONE!!!! I had to get another refrigerator from a a reputable Nationwide company. This is because, fixing it will cost more than what the refrigerator was worth. Overall it was a very bad experience. I would never patronize that place again. read more

"Refurbished" is supposed to mean that the manufacturer has repaired the appliance into a like new state. "Refurbished" to Charm City Appliances means a broken appliance that doesn't even have its main function working, and has other more minor broken parts as well, and this is on TOP of the scratches and dents which, again, a simple "refurb" isn't supposed to have ANY of. I went there expecting a good deal on a refurb or scratch'n'dent appliance. Instead what I got delivered to me was a broken appliance and a mean, condescending, and rude delivery guy. Never ever ever do business with this scammy shop which fails to do the bare minimum of what is expected of them: sell you a working appliance. We wanted to buy a large stand up freezer. Found Charm City through Craigslist. They are located in the city and the warehouse is not pristine - in fact, it is just a warehouse. However, they had lots of dented appliances, several which are brand new. They had about five units to pick from. All the units were plugged in and running (most with thermometers). We found a unit (again - brand new) with a just a few dings on the outside (which I covered with appliance paint) for less than half of we would have paid at a hardware or appliance store. They also did a great job of delivery. We are very happy with the unit and their service. They gave a 60 day warranty, but we have not had to use it. read more

I brought a beautiful stove and refrigerator from this business. The stove works fine but the refrigerator was missing a filter in order for the icemaker to work. The serviceman came out yesterday and didn't have the part but assured me that he would come back with it the next day. Well his cell phone was full so no messages could be left so I called the store itself. Via the lady that answered the phone he informed her that he didn't have the part yet. She asked me was that "OK'. What was I supposed to say about something that is out of my control. The thing that is upsetting to me is I asked repeatedly did the icemaker work when I purchased it and was told that it did. I paid in full for both appliances in cash so I expect better service. Throughly discussed with the integrity of this business and business owner- its seriously a cause for great concern. Have purchased appliances in the past perhaps under another management with out issues. First week after delivery. Refrig (103921 inv. no. 1446) leaks water. Currently the purchased (07/18/2018) refrig. is under warranty (60 days) they have showed up to assess the issue after 4 telephone complaints. They found that a condenser was needed. No one has called, showed up to replace the condenser. Three weeks has passed I called to inform the office, she wanted me to call the same repair man I called the owner, left messages- no response. Finally refrig STOPPED working 8/24/18. I called to inform them and they are now giving me the run around. The repair man speedily said they will call me back- they hung up! It seems as though they want to drag it out until the warranty expires.This could be a cause for investigation and open the door to many unscrupulous business practices in addition to claim being filed against this company.
