Also our lifeguards do an amazing job with the children and they are the sweetest group of people as well as our busing management company. I highly recommend this apartment to anyone who is looking to buy/rent in Edgewater. It is 3 min away by car to the wonderful George Washington Elementary School, 5 min away from the George Washington bridge, the newly built Veterans Field is literally our backyard and the ferry is a 10 minute walk :)

This is the letter I have just sent to the management…read more Dear Miss. Vasquez. I just had to bring it up to someone after what has been happening. My experience at Hudson Harbour since moving in as a new tenant, has been mostly pleasant except for one thing. There is this doorman, who is EXTREMELY rude to me and my wife. I know his name is Manny Bravo. specifically the guy who worked tonight which is March 11th at 6:30 PM. It was not once or twice but many times that I felt he was very rude. He speaks very down towards me. I really wish I have voice recording of today's conversation with him. I asked him today to bring me the package from mail which I got an email for. He went to get it and comes back to me and says it's not there. And I tell him that it can't be since I even got an email that Alex, afternoon doorman, signed that he received it. He goes what do you want me to do. It is not there. As if he just wanted me to go away and stop bothering him. This package was specifically paid for expedited shipping because it was a gift for a friend's daughter tomorrow for her birthday. It was extremely difficult to talk to him because he does not listen and only cuts me off when I speak. I could not believe how rude he was to me. The way he speaks is not a conversation but more as if he just thinks of me as someone bothering him. I tried to show him my email that I received but he did not even bother looking at it once and just kept saying stuff as "We have many packages come in and we do not have your package." That is when the moment I realized the screen he pulled up for signature was for 18M and not 18F. Funny thing he did not even listened to me the first try because he kept cutting me off, I had to tell him three times that he was looking at 18M and not 18F. And then again I could not believe how he responded. Oh you live in 18F but you said 18M. Are you serious? Why would I say 18M I have never even lived there. Instead of apologizing for his shitty mistake, he went to take the package slams it in front of me and ignores me and then talks to another tenant who was waiting for the duration of this nonsense. He had earphones on maybe that is why he could not hear a damn thing I said to him. He watches movies during his night shifts and I completely understand that it might be slow and quiet but with loud volume? would he even know when someone illegally gets in the building? There is more stories that I was offended by him for his ignorance and rude behavior. I am going to come down to the office on Monday and also talk about this incident and other incidents that I was bothered by in person but this has got to stop. I do not want to feel offended like this ever again. If necessary, I want to speak to the board about this or whoever that can make the change. This is an awful experience from such a nicely maintained apartment. As I said, I have only good memories and experiences with everyone including other employees or neighboring tenants. Thank you.

Horizon House - Plenty of dogs on the property, which can cause problems for the electric light poles, which have become urinals.

Most of the people that live here are really nice. Community is very important especially in…read morebuildings like these. You will still have your complaints about stupid things. The new board members are trying to make it better but due to past board members that stole $$$ for personal projects/etc the repairs for stuff takes longer. According to sources The new leader and treasurer of the current board is also stealing $$$ now. This place sees great on the outside but inside you have greedy board members making wrong decisions. Currently they just upped the cable and internet bill by 30% so people get a sports package .... Smdh. AC In building 2, 5 and 6 aren't working properly since June 10th. "We are working on it" building 5/6 share a generator. They don't tell you that when buying. So if electricity gets cut both buildings don't work or only 1 does. New Elevator that took 5 months to install. Broken every other day. The board fired the management team. Hired complete idiots with no experience. Pool became free this year, but really should have been paid for. Because these pools don't get cleaned like they used to. Pool is supposed to be heated. Either it's broken or jacked up to a boiling soup. The condo apartments are nice l, great views. But beware the board doesn't care unless they get $$$ in their pockets

They have a large staff and the maintenance people are always cleaning and the super and support staff are quick at taking care of repairs and emergencies. The negatives are this cooperative charges you a lot for everything - if you get locked out of the apartment, if you have to have repairs done etc. The building is not pet-friendly but will allow pets if you get a letter saying they are emotional support animals. You also have to keep showing them that your pet is registered. You will be fined heavily if a pet makes a potty mistake anywhere on the premises. Most of the staff are friendly. However, the residents are mostly not friendly and are sometimes very rude, especially, if you have a pet. The residents complain about everything and the management will send you letters if there are complaints (There are many.) or to inform you of fines for various things.. Also there are many rules like you can't put Christmas or other decorations on your door or even a doormat in front of your door. Common charges for a 2 bedroom apartment are over $1600 and don't include the gym, pool and BBQ area and parking for which you must pay extra.

If you look on Google maps, you can see more about the area, and map the distance of getting to…read moreplaces in NYC, the Jersey Shore, airports, etc. It's all VERY convenient. We first started looking in Jersey City, Weehawken, and further out. Our criteria was close to NYC, affordable, and safe. A bonus would be an area we enjoyed, even if we never/rarely went into Manhattan. After a year of looking, we discovered Fort Lee, then Plateau Gardens. This coop complex is a gem, only 2 miles to NYC across the Hudson River. We stumbled upon the complex, while shopping at Cafasso's (gourmet) Fairway Market catty corner, across Anderson Ave. The beauty of this coop is not only the acres of lovely green courtyards, landscaping, and flowers. It's very affordable, safe, walkable to amenities, and is like living in a small townhouse. Garages are often sold separately, or with the unit. We waited about a year and then two came on the market at once. Each unit comes with at least one roomy parking space. There are three laundry rooms with new card operated washers and dryers. Each unit has a garden area to grow your own plants and/or to put flower pots out. Although the coop is inexpensive, the neighborhood has many expensive houses; especially on Abbott Blvd, which also has a walking trail. Also has many walkable, neighborhood stores, restaurants, grocery stores, salons, spas, gyms, and more. Fort Lee is really growing, including the new downtown complex with the iPic movie theater. There are NYC bound express/bus/van stops out front on Anderson Ave, that go to the George Washington Bridge Bus Station/A subway train, and 42nd Street/ Port Authority Bus station. Door-to-door, we can get to many NYC destinations in just less than an hour (Columbus Circle, 42nd Street, Penn Station, etc.). Driving to NYC, it's pretty easy to find free NYC street parking on Sundays. To save on the GW Bridge toll, you can pick-up a carpooler, at the bus stop, before you go over the bridge. There's also Uber, Lyft, taxis. Well-rated schools (check online), wonderful community center with free events/classes (love the yoga and rhumba classes; outdoor concerts, esp.), great library (online downloads), lots of parks with tennis courts, community garden, playgrounds, classes. Fort Lee Indoor Tennis club offers great tennis. Edgewater is less than two miles away with the ferry to NYC, Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, and lots more shopping, indoor tennis, spas, gyms, movie theaters, etc. No dogs allowed. Several coop owners have cats, bird... Some rules are grandfathered in. Such a nice, safe, green, hometown feeling. Lots of parks, big trees, well-maintained homes, manicured yards with lots of greenery and flowers. It's also home to Palisades Park with acres and miles of hiking/biking/picnic areas/park restaurant/boat launch, etc. Lots of bicyclists ride in Fort Lee and Palisades Interstate Park. Also, check out "Fort Lee, NJ" YouTube videos. Fort Lee has lots history from the Revolutionary war to the start of the film industry. Fort Lee has its' own film commission. As foodies, Cafasso's Fairway, across the street, is one of the reasons, we picked Plateau Gardens. A third generation family business. We often walk across the street to shop for meals. They carry many prepared gourmet foods, Italian, Asian, Greek, American, pizzas, grilled whole fish, etc. We especially love their roasted artichoke hearts, prime rib, short ribs, etc.! Daily fresh juices, kombucha, etc. Their seafood department is great, including a lobster tank and cooked lobsters. Cheese department with many imports and raw cheeses. Their produce is very fresh with lots of variety too. Exotic items like fresh dates, fresh almonds. Caviar, duck, etc. Reasonably priced, and less than higher NYC prices. Compared to living in previous our studio apartment in Manhattan, Plateau Gardens feels like a mansion. Although, if you're moving from a house, it may feel like one of those tiny homes, or an apartment. Compared to Manhattan and most areas around here, Plateau Gardens is a bargain.
