As far as philosophy goes, one of my favorite yoga instructors out there. While she has formal training in a number of styles, Charlotte's personal yoga isn't perfect, just like most of us, and celebrates those flaws as a part of us.
It's come as you are -- without the fancy, expensive clothes. It modifies the poses to fit the people, while still challenging them to explore their edges and push towards discovering new parts of themselves. Her Punk Rock Yoga classes are about making yoga accessible and affordable with donation-based classes.
She's also made a point of training to work with underserved populations, bringing yoga's stress- and anxiety-reducing benefits to the LGBTQ, body-positive, at-risk & homeless youth, and trauma survivor communities.
Whether you're looking for a casual environment for drop-in classes, a place to build a strong foundation for your own yoga practice, or looking for an instructor with the ability to mix those skills with coping techniques for depression, anxiety, or trauma recovery, I really recommend you check her out. read more
