Ok just got off the bus and popped my head in bc I saw pulpo tostadas! And I'm so happy I did. Great service. The chips and salsa are so good! The chips r perfectly crispy and salsa is spicy but the perfect amount! The pulpo tostadas were super great to with a layer of avocado as the foundation. Good start to my weeks stay!

Best restaurant in Tulum! Not to mention the coffee is exceptional! Find the turtles and say hi to Charlie... Fish tacos, Carnitas, the different Aguas with fruit AND Margarita!!!

We didn't plan to go there but we were attracted by the beautiful and relaxing terrasse in the back. We enjoyed our time there so it wasn't a problem that the service was a little more slow than usual. It forced us to relax and appreciate the place. My boyfriend and I took the cheviche and it was delicious, fresh and tasty. The staff was friendly. I would recommand to go there for diner but also for lunch to have a refreshing cheviche.

One of my fave meals in Tulum (maybe bc I was hungry). The fish tacos were really good. My friend has the carnitas and she thought it was too much pork, so not her favorite. We got two juices too which were just from a bottle (not freshly squeezed and mine was wrong - I wanted the watermelon, but they made me cantaloupe..). Otherwise, a breezy and quirky little place. No ac, but it was breezy enough for the afternoon.

I hardly drink and did not get even a baby buzz from the drink. The Margarita was OK. The service was OK. Each drink was $300 MXN or around $17 USD. Maybe I visited on an off day? There's plenty of other places in the area, this place would be a last resort.

Lets get to the food shall we. Chapulunes Tacos - Yes I like this stuff. I adore the preparation. The avocado doesn't really do much for the rest of the taco, but sauced up its a 6.8/10 Mushroom Taco - I couldn't stress enough about my partiality to vegan food. I adore the texture and the taste. I feel they put all the effort on this taco. 8.7/10 Al Pastor - It's nice and juicy. The the pineapples are present. Taste does fall a little short from the ones I've had before. 7.6/10 Service was pleasant. The ambiance was a total vibe. I would definitely recommend. They start you off with a complimentary piece of toast with some vegetable chunks. Each of us got a quarter of a piece of dry white bread that I would pass on in the future but the vegetables paired with it had decent flavor. I got the passion fire as my drink and very much enjoyed it. It was sweet and refreshing with just the right amount of heat. 9/10. For appetizers my group split the duck tartlet with pink mole, the sweet potato agrodolce, and the hamachi tiradito. The duck was well cooked and tender but lacking in flavor. The pink mole wasn't adding much to the dish other than creaminess. The tart shell was awful. It was thick and dry and reminiscent of a premade store bought tart shell. 5/10. The sweet potato agrodolce was good, the sweet potato and squash ribbons had a nice firm texture and snap but all of the flavor came from the yogurt sauce that they were sitting on. 7/10. The hamachi tiradito was my favorite of the apps. The fish was fresh and light, the flavors were interesting with the combination of the sweet banana vinaigrette, the salty umami ponzu, and the sweet tangy mango, chili, cucumber salsa. This dish was the best of the night, 8/10. For mains we split the catch of the day, which was red snapper, and the broken beet. The fish was underwhelming, being a bit overcooked and dry. The sauce it was drenched in helped with the dryness but didn't lend much flavor. The yuca chips were a nice addition, adding a nice crunch to contrast the soft textures of the fish and sauce but again, not lending much in flavor. Chips could have been salted. 6/10. The beets were cooked well, they were soft and tender and paired nicely with the sour cream, turmeric oil, and salad. The turmeric oil added acidity, the salad added freshness and also acidity from the dressing it had, and the sour cream added a nice creaminess and tangy. These flavors offset the richness of the beets nicely. My second favorite dish, 8/10. For dessert we went with the "corn," which was a cake shaped like a corn cob with a chopped nut center and what I think was real corn kernels across the exterior, paired with a corn ice cream. Overall a solid dessert, the chopped nuts added a nice crunch however the cake as a whole was a bit dry. The ice cream added some needed moisture and paired nicely with the cake, though the texture was a bit icy, more like a corn sorbet than a corn ice cream. 6/10. Overall a good experience but with its high prices and small portions I wouldn't go back. The apps were on average between $20-$30 usd, with mains being between $25-$50 usd, and dessert $20 usd.
