I have something I would like everyone that visits thus establishment, I have known several ppl, not going to mention names, however recently a woman went into thus bar, first they did the responsible thing, she had clearly to much to drink, they refused to serve her, excellent that's completely the right thing to do, so she walked out of the bar, and at that point they called the police to report her as being intoxicated as she was, but instead of asking her if there was someone they could call to pick her up, or offer to call an uber for this woman, instead they up and call the police, did not even have the decency to ask her if there was something they could assist her with to get home, this woman does get into her vehicle, not driving at this point the police show up and she arrested for a dui in the parking lot, I used to own a nightclub and thus is very poor of this place to call police and get her into this much trouble, they really should have tried another responsabile way to help her, at the minimum ask if there was someone they could call or ask if they could get her a different way home, this is very poor that this bartender did not even make such an attempt, instead calls the police, now you have police at this place arresting her for dui, all they had to do was offer an alternative instead of the police, now if this woman would have resited the help then I understand why the bar would do that, but that's not the case here, so warning to anyone that visits this place they would rather call police then try to help you in other ways, this is very poor business, personally I would stay away from this establishment and go to other places, I do not agree with drinking and driving and if this bartender gets her kicks off watching ppl go down because she's to lazy to offer up alternatives then shame on this place, please read this and repost and boycott this establishment!!! This is hands down the worst bar in Port Charlotte. Walking in the place is filled with smoke so bad you can barely see the people at the other end of the bar.Mind you, I am a smoker.The bartender was very slow,rude and certainly in no hurry to take our order as she was to busy talking to other patrons. It was a fairly slow day. If we played something that they didn't like in the jukebox, it mysteriously quit playing and skipped to the next song. The food was some of the worst I have ever eaten,I've personally enjoyed better food in jail. Pool tables we're in poor shape,and beer was not ice cold. They also called the police on a drunk woman for trying to order drinks.Great that they didn't serve her, but maybe asking the patron if you could call them a ride or offer a non alcoholic drink while they waited for their ride would have been a better solution.That just shows me that the Mng/ownership should rethink their approach to customer service. I would highly advise staying far away from this establishment as there are far superior bars within walking distance. read more

This is a nice dive bar for the younger Port Charlotte folks to hang out in. As I walked in the smokey bar, it brought me back to some of my first bar experiences. This place is stocked with appropriately arranged coin-operated pool tables and a juke box that plays all of your favorite hair bands. Bar staff was great--super attentive, but not overbearing. Beers were cheap and crowd was friendly. Even ended up sitting next to someone from Boston, which was strange but amusing. Definitely a reasonable place to stop for a beer. read more

This is a great place to hang and have a drink. Casual. And they offer pizza and a few other items. Jan is the bartender mostly when I go in. She is nice and friendly and personable and always makes us feel welcome. read more

You will notice when you walk through the front door that you probably should of brought a respirator. The inside has a stale cigarette smell, and the only circulation is a rolling industrial fan in the back. The beverage specials are a good deal but they end at 6pm. They have a small food menu, but most of it is made by the bartender in the microwave and it's just not a good idea. It's a dive bar, but plenty of pool tables if you don't mind the smell. read more

Thought this might be a nice local restaurant but very disappointed. Took over an hour after our oder taken for our food to arrive. My spaghetti came out 10 minutes after every one else was served. It was over cooked and sticky. The meatballs dry and I got one cut in half to look like 2. The roast beef dinner was deli beef sliced with canned gravy, canned green beans and boxed mash potatoes. Comparable to school cafeteria food. Sadly disappointed. read more

While opening up a pool table, my girlfriends were harassed by the older crowd. They wouldn't leave us alone and they kept interrupting us playing. It's beer only and the same people. While walking out on the patio I was being cornered and they wouldn't let us sit and talk. Once i yelled at one of them they started being upset with my friends boyfriend and it was time to go.
