**This is a 3.5 Star review.**…read more So, I'm not a huge fan of Disco Fries (poutine with a slab of cheese), but when I saw it on the menu, I knew this place must be legit. I lived on the Jersey Shore and traveled frequently to Philadelphia. I've done the Pat's vs. Geno's thing (they're both delish). I've had plenty of cheesesteaks at WaWa (Google it) and many roach coaches along the Eastern Seaboard. What most people don't get is the bread. The bread should be soft and chewy, and Pappa Geno's does a good job with that. The meat in an original cheesesteak is supposed to be cheap, thinly sliced and quickly grilled. Tender. Greasy. Wonderful. Pappa Geno's does a good job with that too. But -- there's enough black pepper to float a battleship! And there's nothing authentic about that! None of the original Philly cheesesteak joints empty half a can of black pepper onto their meat. Though I enjoy black pepper, my crew (including my Yankee wife) had some issues. Yo, Pappa Geno's! Enough already! Tone it down! We can add our own black peppa! (Still, this is an outstanding sandwich, as far as my taste buds are concerned.) Fries here are meh, but I like them because they warm up nicely in the toaster oven. The Disco Fries? Spot on with even the best diners along the New Jersey Turnpike! If you are a displaced Garden State or Eastern PA person, this joint might warm your soul. If you're a Houston person looking for a taste of the Northeast, you might well enjoy this place. Either way, tell them "Hey! Ease up on the throttle with the black pepper!" You're welcome. ;-)

At this point, going to Charley's feels less like ordering food and more like participating in a scavenger hunt. Every time I try to eat here, y'all are OUT OF SOMETHING. Chicken? Gone. Bread? Gone. Whatever I came in specifically wanting? Apparently a mythical limited-edition item that only existed in the imagination of the marketing department. And then there's the absolute plot twist: hearing employees say they haven't been paid in a MONTH while somehow the company has the energy, funding, and audacity to open THREE MORE locations in surrounding areas. ‍ Respectfully... HOW ARE WE OPENING EXPANSION PACKS WHEN THE ORIGINAL GAME ISN'T EVEN LOADED??? Maybe instead of opening another location, we could try the revolutionary business strategy of: 1. Having the food people actually came for. 2. Keeping products in stock. 3. PAYING THE PEOPLE WHO ARE ACTUALLY RUNNING THE STORE. I don't know who is running the operation over there, but they're treating Charley's like a Sims 4 save file with unlimited money while the employees are apparently playing on survival mode. At this point, I'm not even mad about the food anymore. I'm impressed by the commitment to being unavailable. Charley's: come for the cheesesteak, leave with a character-development arc.

This has ruined my opinion of Charley's...at least at this location! Zero stars should be an option

The gas station was clean and smells good, which is rare!!! My daughter and I ordered their Regular Philly Cheesesteak combos with fries and Strawberry Lemonade. Now, they would have received 5 stars if any condiments were offered or placed in the bag. I shouldn't have to ask for ketchup if I ordered regular fries.
