I seriously can't say enough good things about this private boat charter I booked for the group. They'll ask you where you'd like to go. So feel free to tell them what you'd like to see. What we booked is the Kizmet Private boat tour. As this boat will hold larger parties the sailboat can only accommodate I believe a total of 8. Check the details. This tour hour boat tour was guided by two young men. River born & raised in Charleston was immensely knowledgeable about the water, land and history of Charleston. One of the nice things you can do is order cocktails and apps or even a full meal to enjoy on the boat while you're out on the water. Talk about a relaxing & fun day. Make your reservations online for either a sailboat or Private charter. And book early! The Kizmet gets a ton of business from bachelorette parties so those bookings go fast. This was the pinnacle of a celebratory birthday week in Charleston. The captain and the crew were amazing and customized our experience to our party. The Fate is a beautiful sailboat with several amenities. It was clean and very comfortable. It was the perfect excursion. The boat had water and sodas, but we brought beverages and snacks that we ordered from Caviar & Bananas, who were extremely helpful in helping us select our items - and they delivered them to our hotel. Very nice touch! The captain was very knowledgeable and gave us a very nice history lesson and some nautical pearls specific to the Ashley and Cooper Rivers. All in all a fantastic experience - forego the ghost tours and carriage rides and spend your excursion dollars here!! read more

This was a great way to get out on the harbor and see Charleston from a different perspective. The sailboat Fate itself is gorgeous and very clean and comfortable. 6 of us sat comfortably and enjoyed the cruise while Dustin and Daniel kept us fed, watered, and entertained with lots of environmental and historical info. The sound system was great too- accommodating iPhones for our own playlists or the boat had nice cruising music as well. We brought lots of snacks and wine and they provided some soda and water. We went out along Sullivans, past Fort Sumter, and then back through the bridge for some swim time. The Charleston Harbor Marina dock is a convenient location with parking available. I would highly recommend this experience for both locals and tourists. read more

Without a doubt, the best thing we did on our trip to Chucktown was charter the Fate with Captain Dustin and his firstmate Evan. They sail a beautiful boat, are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable and go out of their way to make the trip as enjoyable as possible for everyone on the boat. Yesterday we sailed with Captain Dustin and First mate Evan. It was an outstanding experience! The sailboat is in excellent condition and we were very comfortable on board. Dustin and Evan are natural sailors and they make it all look so easy. We brought champagne and snacks on board and Evan served it to us when we were ready. It was perfectly windy that day and the boat sailed beautifully. We had never experienced Charleston from the water. Evan and Dustin will tell you a lot of the history of the waterfront, the fort, the bridges, other sailing vessels, the jettys, the lighthouses and much more. The sail lasted from 4 to 7:30. The Kismet hosts 9 guests comfortably and has a bathroom on board. Our family (ages 6 through 90) enjoyed a wonderful evening cruise through the harbor. Our Sunday evening (6-9PM) sail for 6 was the highlight of our recent weekend in Charleston. We booked it as a 40th wedding anniversary to surprise our parents and they loved everything! We chose to bring our own food and drinks and as soon as we arrived Dustin and Evan made sure everything was kept cold and no one's glass was empty. They did a great job explaining the history of the city and some of the landmarks as we went by. The boat is fantastic and they're happy to let you explore it as much or as little as you want. Evan was especially great with some of the historical information which was huge for our dad. When it was time to eat the snacks we had brought the prepared them beautifully.
