We were a group of 12 girls. The boat was AWESOME. There was plenty of space to sit and stand. It was very very clean and had the ability to increase coverage on the boat for more shade if we wanted. Captain Dan and his mate Tom were incredibly accommodating and laid back. They made us feel safe and clearly have a lot of experience out on the water. They ensured everything was taken care of in terms of getting situated with our drinks, food, & music we brought onto the boat. They also provided some history as we would pass different sights (The Battery, pineapple fountain, etc.) while out on the boat, which we really enjoyed! They also scouted out some dolphins for us which was cool! Obviously, in a celebratory mode, we were jamming out to music, dancing some, and sipping wine and Captain Dan and Tom were totally encouraging of that as well! The girls and I all agreed that this was the best part of our celebration weekend! I would recommend cruises with Captain Dan whether it be a simple boat outing or if you're wanting to celebrate with a group. I cannot recommend Captain Dan and High Tide Harbor Tours enough and will definitely plan to use High Tide Harbor Tours the next time I am looking to cruise Charleston!!

The cruise started at seven and sunset was shortly thereafter, so the majority of our time was spent in the dark on the water. It really should've started about an hour or so earlier so everyone could enjoy the scenery. Overall, a fine experience and we really didn't go thinking we'd have amazing food so weren't disappointed.

I'm from Charlotte and have visited the Charleston area a zillion times and have never been to Morris Island. We chatted a boat through folly boat tours with Captain Michael Ray. He was super welcoming and very knowledgeable about the area. He's also a true local from the area. We brought our 70 year old mother in law and 3, 14 year olds with us. It was great for EVERYONE. We brought an umbrella, towels, snacks and drinks and spent about 4 hours exploring with a "home base" for people that wanted shade or rest. We found a megalodon shark tooth, some crazy old Indian pottery and a zillion other shark teeth, sand dollars and other super cool treasures. So fun and amazing to see how old some things can be in this area. They drudged the area about 20 years ago and dug up all the treasures that are found there. Some of the pottery can by up to 2000+ years old and the shark teeth are millions of years old. I googled an article from a Navy research team that did all kinds of tests and it is in fact true that things are that old over there. Of course you'd have to go to a museum for accuracy. Anyway, incredible find! We also saw dolphins and since we went in the evening caught a beautiful sunset on the way home! Thanks Michael for the super fun and educational trip!

Some friends booked this for me as a birthday gift and we had a great time. I didn't handle the…read morebooking, but I was told they were very responsive and informative about the tour. It's byob and snacks but they provide coolers and ice. We brought our own small cooler anyway to keep everything cold and it was a pro-move. When we arrived at the dock, it was a little confusing to figure out where we were supposed to be, but you park at brittlebank park and walk over to the ramp. There is no path or any signage for the tour so just trust your gut. We were ealy so we weren't concerned. They pulled up to the dock after gassing up and we all started to load onto the boat. There's seating all along the edges with coolers in the middle. The back of the boat is the captains area and the bathroom as well. Yes, there's a head on board, but it's strictly for #1. Don't get any poopy ideas because there's probably 5 stickers (piles of poop with a red circle and line through it) and reminders letting you know how uncool it is #2 on the tiki tour. We had a delay before we left the dock as a big storm was rolling by. The sky went dark and there was lightning off in the distance so we held tight and started with some drinks and getting to know our tiki tour companions. We also brok out our charcuterie and snack selection which was nice to handle while saddled up at the dock. We did get some rain sitting at the dock, but it passed quickly and we were on our way. We cruised through the charleston harbor taking in the sights, sunset, and musical stylings of Uncle Tim's Bench. Tim was probably my favorite part of the tour. He kept the mood light and fun singing some classic covers as well as a few originals as well. If you're a fan of Dispatch or OAR then you're gonna be a fan of Tim. The calm after the storm made for a beautiful evening cruise. We were going to stay out a little longer to make up for missed time at the beginning, but another pass of the storm was brewing so we doubled back to the dock. It was a good call because the rain came down about 30 seconds after we got in our car. Whether you're visiting or locals like us, check out the tiki tours of Charleston for a great time on the water. Extra pro tip: Tip your captain, deck hands, and entertainment. Some people didn't which leads me to believe that they either don't know that it's customary or they are rude. Everyone worked hard to ensure we had a safe and fun time so I was very appreciative.
