The gourmet desserts are truly top-notch. Yes, they are a bit pricey, but you can taste the time, effort, and love that goes into every single item, so I don't mind paying for something that looks beautiful and tastes even better. My daughters have me completely addicted to this place! They make the best banana pudding I've ever had--creamy, smooth like velvet, and fruity from soft, ripe bananas. The vanilla wafers create a tender, melt-in-your-mouth bite. It instantly takes me back to childhood memories with family and friends. I've also tried several macarons--salted caramel, lavender, red velvet, chocolate, pistachio, and blue--and every single one was amazing. They were so good I honestly couldn't pick a favorite. This new location is very cute and cozy in a different way from the downtown Summerville location. It doesn't have the antique feel of that location, but it has a clean cut semi modern cozy cabin feel with the beautiful wood tables and benches. It was pleasantly calm during the time we were there. As always the service is excellent. I ordered the Honey Blossom Latte (Lavender, Rose and Honey) which I found subtly floral (not perfume at all). And my friends had the Chocolate Peanut Butter Latte and the Charleston Pecan coffee (The signature coffee). The lattes came with milk foam art on the top (ai was especially impressed with the art on the top of the chocolate peanut butter later). On one side it is an "all you can eat" menu. On the other side, you order à la carte off of a regular menu. On the all-you-can-eat side, it appears you'll probably need a reservation, as it is quite popular. We did not have a reservation but didn't want all you can eat anyway, so we sat on the side with the regular menu. The menu is quite large, with a good variety of sushi and other dishes. We got there during happy hour, and they had some great deals on appetizers, certain types of sushi, and drinks. Every employee that we encountered was friendly and helpful. The presentation of the food was lovely, as you can see from the photos below, but overall, the food was just so-so. The sushi was good, but definitely not the best I've ever had. It wasn't terrible, just nothing to write home about. We ordered fried calamari as an appetizer and that was not great, compared to other restaurants. It was fairly thick and heavily battered (as far as calamari goes), and tasted as if the oil hadn't been changed in a while. We also ordered regular egg rolls, which were OK. As far as ambience, for some reason many restaurants play loud music that isn't suitable for dining (have they always done this and I just never noticed?), and this is one of them. Overall, I do feel that we received good food for the price, and again, all of the employees were stellar. We will probably try this location again.

During our visit, we were warmly greeted by the owner. We were a tad early so they weren't quite ready for our group (which was totally ok) so we were able to spend some time perusing their locally made items for sale. After being seated for our service we enjoyed a lovely next two hours sipping on a variety of teas (I went with a delicious Chai) and devouring the assortment of savory and sweet treats prepared for us. You don't realize quite how much food it is at first until you start nearing the top dessert tier and no one at our table was able to finish all the tea sandwiches, scones, and pastries. . :) Hands down my favorite item were the tomato tarts....if the general store were to sell these by the dozen on their own - they would be taking a good chunk of my paycheck every time I was nearby. If you're looking for a lovely afternoon treat, I definitely recommend visiting Knightsville General Store for their new afternoon service (reservations needed in advance!)
