I have driven by this place a few times and finally had a few minutes to pop in and see what it was…read moreabout. It did not disappoint. Inside is a cute little place you can go and grab a slice of cake or pie, some fresh cookies, a fantastic smoothie or a light lunch sandwich. One of the owners was there, and he was super nice and friendly telling us about the business and different types of cakes and pies they have on different days of the week. They also sell jams, rice crispy treats of varying flavors and jellies. (I will be back for some of those this week- they will make great stocking stuffers or little gifts for the holidays) We both ordered a smoothie - strawberry / banana mine with almond milk and my son got his with oat milk. Mine was very tasty and filling substitute for a missed lunch, while my son also got a slice of the lemon cake with his. I am not a huge lemon cake fan, but once he started eating it and was telling me how awesome it was, I had to try it. And all I can say is WOW. IT MELTED IN MY MOUTH!!! It was so soft and moist, the icing was light, and the lemon flavoring was just perfect. I was upset with myself for not getting one for later, cause my son ate the whole thing in one sitting. Let me reiterate - I do not like lemon cake, but I wanted a slice of this lemon cake for myself. Its honestly THAT good. I cant wait to try a different flavor soon. I did buy myself some cookies (sorry I forgot to take pics of them before I ate them) and they were also soft and great tasting, hit the spot for something sweet after dinner. You can get your treats / food / drinks to go or to eat there, as they have the place decorated so cute. It reminds me of a little cafe in France I went to, plenty of seating, and spaced far enough apart you will not be intruding on the next table if you sit down. If you are in the Summerville area, on Old Trolley Rd take a dip in here and try it, I dont think anything they make can be bad at this point, we tried 3 things and it was a win - win for all 3. Going to try the lunch sandwiches next! OH!! and next door they have a cake supply shop. I didnt stop in, but it sounded like it was perfect for supplies you normally wouldnt find in the regular stores.

Not only are they incredibly friendly & nice, I felt like was I talking to a friend! So for what I was going to spend on a dozen cookies, I was able to get 3 times as much to send to me son for him & his co-workers. They delivered to his office & knowing I was in Ca she took a picture of my son receiving his baked goods & sent it to me! Over the top service & can I say some of the guys got on the phone to tell me how incredible these desserts were. Thank you Trisha for making my son's birthday that much sweeter! I will certainly be back!

Plus a lot of the bakeries in the area close at 6. So I found Sweet Dreams on here and decided to give it a try. I called in an order around 5:45 and had fresh cupcakes and still warm from the oven cookies at my door by 8pm. Needless to say it made his day and I was more than impressed with everything. We ordered a sampler pack and had her pick out a variety for us. We ended up with some cinnamon things (yum!), apple supremes (husband's favorite so far), and several types of cupcakes as well as some warm chocolate chip cookies. My favorite is the chocolate cupcake. I've had cupcakes from some of the best bakeries and this one is right up there with them. It's moist, it's light, it's rich but not cloying, it's super chocolatey and it's just the right amount to satisfy that chocolate craving. I'll have to add more to my next order because my son claimed one and then wanted a bite of mine too! We still have a few more things to try but I expect they will all be just as good. She does take credit cards, you can pay ahead by phone or at the door, perfect since I rarely have cash on me anymore!

The Oreo to cheesecake ratio was perfect! The dollop of whipped cream was a very nice touch. Can't wait to try this truck again!

From the meticuliously decorated specialty cakes, to the Nostalgic childhood themed cookies and pastries you can't get enough of them. Due to Covid-19 life as we knew it is on pause for the moment so frequenting a busy bakery is not on my personal agenda as we have underlying health issues. I placed an order with Ashley online and when ready, we drove to her home to pick it up. Easy peasy and super convenient. For your convenience, Homemade by Ashley Cannon also offers delivery for a small fee (call for details). The moment we pulled up in front of her home, not only were we greeted with warm smiles, we could smell the sweetness of chocolate and cinnamon in the air. Under regular circumstances I would have loved to go see (and sample) the variety of goodies she was working on but for safety reasons, we kept our distance! Once home, each and every bite of both the Carrot Cake cookies and the Strawberry Cheese cake cookies was heavenly! The cookies were rich, moist, chewy, eye rolling flavorful, soft textured, and made with love. I believe the key ingredient in both of these magnificent cookies was the cream cheese. They were beautifully decorated and pleasing to the eyes. I just had to have one, two, three or maybe 20! My Birthday is next month so I am looking forward to ordering my cake from Ashley. I haven't quite decided on the flavor because I love everything from a regular chocolate cake to a tiramisu, rum or canoli cake. I have picked out a design with elegant pink, white, and red flowers but we will figure it out I'm sure. I am grateful and Thankful for Homemade by Ashley's Cakes for making the ordering and pick up process so effortless and safe.
