Extremely professional and knowledgeable team with great expertise. The care that my mother received, from the moment we walked in, was exceptional. We appreciated that Dr. Spaulding took her time to explain everything she noticed from the x-rays to hands-on demonstrations, explained possible action plans to support the best dental health. I loved the panoramic x-ray and being able to see everything so clearly from a full mouth perspective! The hygienist was great and very careful, stopping to check if my mom was doing ok regularly throughout the cleaning. My mom is typically very sensitive and she felt very comfortable and at ease. The space itself is very clean, welcoming, and warm. It looks like you are driving to a home but there's a small parking lot with a path leading you to the front office door. The waiting area was very relaxing with great music and comfortable seating. The staff was inviting and helpful! When walking into the exam spaces, it's bright and airy with high ceilings and super clean (huge points for how tidy and sanitary everything was!). I'm so grateful to have found McClean Smiles and will be booking my own appointment soon after the utmost care my mother received. Thank you to the whole team!

The woman who worked the front desk was extremely friendly and very sweet. The young woman who worked on my teeth was very gentle, very very knowledgeable and did a good job. The dentist came in and introduced herself, she was very nice and able to answer every single question I had. The one thing I liked about this dental group is how they worked with me when I had an issue with my dental insurance. Doing that lifted some stress off my shoulders as far as a high dental bill being avoided. The energy in that place is good and you can feel it the second you walk in. I would give them 10 stars if I could but I would highly recommend McLeanSmiles to everyone.

Several dentists say I'm the funniest person they'd ever met (this is not bragging, it's a pitiful confession) until they notice I've been in the chair for hours. But with Dr. Monteiro I didn't say one funny - she was quick, professional yet friendly, painless, took time to tell me what she was doing before she did it, and used lots of cool, state-if-the-art instruments. She and her dental assistant seem to almost read each other's thoughts and things get passed back and forth while I caught up on the "Help I Wrecked My House" show. MONEY HUNGRY PRACTICE! DO NOT BOOK AN APPOINTMENT!…read more I specifically did my research & found a provider who participated in my insurance. I proactively sent my most recent dental x-rays over prior to my appointment, although the appointment I booked was for my annual dental cleaning. At the time of my appointment I was handed forms to fill out, one of them being a "$35 Oral Cancer Screening". During my appointment the Dentist looked over my recent x-rays and proceeded to order a full mouth set of x-rays. One would think a professional practice would check with a patient's insurance carrier to see if a complete imaging procedure would be covered or confirm whether the insurance carrier will allow it for the 2026 year- NOPE. The dental assistant who performed my cleaning then asked if I'd be interested in the oral cancer screening (you'd think this would be covered under a routine dental screening- not according to this practice.) They push it as if it's their monthly special. After my appointment I headed to the front desk where the receptionist quoted me $226.40 for a treatment plan. In the treatment plan the total fee equated to $680. The "estimated insurance coverage" was $453.60. I spoke with my insurance carrier after the visit to confirm coverage. 80% of each treatment code listed would be covered and I would be responsible for paying the remaining 20%. One code was not covered in its entirety but the office did not inform me- instead I was merely handed a treatment plan with an expectation that I would pay $226.40. Fast forward to a month or so later- I received a bill from Lighthouse Dental in the amount of $310, for what you may ask? The panoramic x-rays that were done without checking my insurance coverage. I received a call from Lighthouse Dental and I asked the receptionist "if I provided my most recent x-rays prior to my visit why were additional x-rays done?" She replied "all new patients need full x-rays." I questioned why the practice didn't check my insurance coverage or contact my previous Dentist for my last full x-rays if it was needed. She then said "well on the bright side you won't have to get it done again for 5 years" EXCUSE ME? To top it off, after speaking with the receptionist I asked to speak with an office manager- who took two weeks to return my call. I refuse to pay $310 due to Lighthouse Dental's negligence. The carelessness of this practice is appalling.

My great insurance covered orthodontic work, so I thought why not get this done! As I ate, the pressure of the crown which was obv too far backward, popped out the gold inlay of the molar behind it. Obv the crown was not the right size! So, I am left with thousands of dollars of corrective dental work. When I went there, I had great insurance, so they had no problem doing this work. Now, without insurance, I am stuck. Beware!

Bad review for Dr. Nocerino…read more I started coming to this office when Dr. Murphy owned the place when I was a child. After he retired, Dr. Nocerino took over and I didn't really have the same pleasant experiences I had previously. The atmosphere was just weird. I also had a minor cavity on the side of my tooth several years ago and had that filled by Dr. Nocerino. I went back to NY and months later it fell off...I went back to CT to have it fixed and it was fine...although...a couple years later I decided to switch to a NY based dentist as I was no longer living with my parents or under their insurance plan. I had an x ray the other week and they said my previous dentist (Dr. Nocerino) had accidentally drilled into my neighboring tooth that was completely fine...and I had to get my filling re-done on the side of my tooth because it wasn't done properly and was coming off. So years later this comes back to me and bites me in the butt and I'm obviously not happy...I had to pay $420 for this mistake...I now go to an all female staff dentist and they're so efficient and have the latest technology. On top of my experience, apparently this office has a lot of patients and my family makes an appointment waaaay in advance and the front desk always says "call morning of your appointment to make sure it's still ok to come in". They call and their appointments are cancelled. How fishy....When people make appointments, honor them....what is this selective favoritism whatever? What is this based on? Really sketchy.
