I explained my issue of needing a band adjustment, got a sizing recommendation from Luis, handed over the watch and took a seat. I heard a couple of...clank...clanks...tink...tinks....Nervous!?? Heck Yeah...the watch band was really nice and let's not talk about the expensive body of the Apple Watch! But, no less than 5 minutes, I received my watch back with no scratches and the perfect fit. This is the second time visiting Moren Watch Repair. During my first visit, I brought in my favorite, vintage TAG Heuer. It was in dire need need of a face work, a new battery and tightening of a numeral position. At that time, I was about to send it off to someone in California, whom I found online and did not know, but claimed they were a specialist in TAG Heuer watches. This did not sit well with me. It was then a good friend recommended Moren, and I am so glad they did. I was able to talk to them directly about my watch issues, ask many questions, and drill them on the many nuances of a TAG Heuer. To my suprise, these guys were very knowledgeable and explained a few things even I did not know about the watch. Thus, I gave them the work. The servicing took two days. In the end, I received my watch back looking brand spanking new, working in great condition and no damage. Talk about in need of an efficient watch repair place that does the job, this place is it. The prices are not as cheap, but you get what you pay for....especially if you are looking for someone to trust with your favorite or most expensive timepieces. The owners of this shop are fantastic! Great customer service and very approachable. They are very nice, helpful, and honest. Also, they perform jewelry repairs and resell collector watch/jewelry items as well. They are patient in answering questions and give great advice. Not to mention, watching their skillfully deft hands and craftsmanship repair watches is an incredible sight to see. Watchmaking and repair is truly a rare and fading art form....due to the digital age, tech watches...yes admittedly like my Apple Watch...lol....fitbits, modern electronics and digital hand watches. It is great to see places like this are still around. Moren Watch Repair gets my vote!...if you are in need of watch repair services, battery replacements, band adjustment, or a complete overhaul due watch mechanical issues.

Among my watches was my relatively recently deceased dad's timex. He took a look and said it didn't just need a battery and that he didn't think he could repair it. When I expressed a bit of disappointment and told him it was my dad's he said "leave it with me. I don't know if I can do it but I will try." Nothing special. The seating inside was a bit odd. The barista area looked pretty clean though. The service was fast. There wasn't enough variety of food. If you want a quick bagel and coffee, it is okay but otherwise I would pass.

So if you're in the market for either a top-notch, one of a kind, beautifully effulgent, brilliant glistening, Bling-Boom-WOW diamond at an equally amazing unbeatable price.... I have 2 words for you, Chas Schwartz! These guys are the best of the best! Chas Schwartz was just one of almost a dozen places that my fiance and I went to in search of my dream engagement ring! Of course, just like EVERYBODY else my man and I were on the hunt for both an amazing deal, a reputable dealer, and obviously an amazing diamond! We were so lucky to have found Chas during our endless straggle! And we just totally fell in love with Ashley at Chas. She was very helpful, educated, warm, informative, unpretentious, and accommodating! Ashley blew us away! This was an ALL new high standard of customer service for both my fiance and I! Most (meaning almost ALL) of the other diamond retailers we went to were either just down right arrogant, rude, and snooty! They had more attitude than anything! These diamond store people treat you like, "you're not good enough for them, if you can't afford a $75,000 rock!" I mean some of them didn't even ask us "if we wanted to see anything!" Or better yet their prices were just horrifically astronomical! Then when we'd ask, "well why is something comparable selling for $15,000 less?" They'd start talking fast, using pedantic drivel! Or my favorite, when they ignore your question, by answering it with a question! And they'd try to bamboozle you into that hustle phrase, "all diamonds are unique, they can't be compared!' Its a TOTAL crock! You can always find a diamond with similar carats, color, cut, and clarity for the same price! So that's why after going to a few other places, my future husband and I decided that both Chas Schwartz inventory, price, reputation, and Ashley's customer service were just by all standards of comparison, the BEST! Besides, Chas is the ONLY retailer in the area who has the REAL AUTHENTIC "Hearts on Fire" diamonds. I'm sure everybody pretends that they have them too! But if its a hearts on fire diamond, whether its a .50 carat or 50 carat bolder.... You can tell its a Hearts on fire! This kind of diamond is like the creme de la creme when it comes to the 1st of the 4 C's rule, Cut, Clarity, Carat, and Color! Regardless of what size diamond you buy, when its a Hearts on fire diamond, you can see it from a mile away! I mean this is the Bling-Booom of the Bling-bling! Besides, who would you rather buy a diamond from, a family who has been specializing in the trade for over 100 years, or some over-priced, joe-schmoe blood diamond smuggling chain? And its funny that all these retailers now try to say, their diamonds are "conflict free" or "not blood diamonds". I'm pretty skeptical! Because most of these retailers have only been around a decade or two! So how the hell would they know where their diamonds are coming from? They just see the expedited address package on the UPS box when they open it! But we trust Chas Schwartz because they have their own diamonds from the mines in Canada, NOT Africa! And they're a 100+ year old family business! If they were ripping people off or selling pathetic inventory at wily prices, they'd been out of business a long time ago! So, I decided to go around the DC area in search of an engagement ring for my future fiance, and was very disappointed by the lack of professionalism and lack of interest by the so called reputable jewelers in DC, until I went to Chas. Schwartz & Son. I, like many I am sure, knew that I wanted a round diamond, but I just wasn't sure of what mounting to put it in, so I wanted to see a good selection of different ones to choose from, and Chas. Schwartz had it! They have a great selection, and were very patient while I looked through a lot of different styles. While other places made me feel very rushed. After I chose the mounting that I liked, we went into discussing diamonds. I had already seen some diamonds at the previous places which claim to have the "lowest prices for the highest quality diamonds" in the area, and can now say that this is completely not true! I Had told Dan and Kert at Chas. Schwartz, what I had seen and the prices they were offered to me for, and they were able to show me an almost identical diamond, as far as color, clarity, and carat weight, for a slightly lower price. And the best part was, that this one was much prettier than the others I had seen because this was an ideal cut diamond! They explained to me what an ideal cut diamond is supposed to be as far as measurements, and how it maximizes the brilliance of the diamond. This also, made me realize that the others out there that said I was looking at an ideal cut diamonds, actually were not. Thank you so much Chas. Schwartz for all the help. I shopped around and educated myself on jewelry ratings. This store blow everyone else out of the water. When wait times at Rolex Authorized Dealer (AD) have become more a minimum prison sentence of 3-5…read moreyears wait time, it becomes extremely tempting to seek other means for the purchase of your dream watch. Areas such as the gray market and used/ pre-owned resellers are becoming tempting. But keep in mind there are "more fakes than authentic Rolexs on the market" and currently on the wrists of the super successful in society. An issue that Rolex themselves don't seem to mind! The Diamond Exchange, a business that claims over 30 years in the industry the price becomes extremely tempting. Best of all is the selection of "Rolex" products on hand: they have various models, years, and designs and at a mere 30-35% above the AD's new MSRP! As ridiculous as that sounds, it can ve extremely tempting when considering the current gray market prices. When entering a business that is asking only 30% MSRP, it easily becomes a viable option (30% is actually on the low end currently). While making my purchase, the seller informed me that Rolex does not keep time very well. This statement should have set off red flags, but unfortunately, it did not at the time. I purchased an extremely well-made Rolex Submariner that was only a couple of years old and still was under warranty according to the certified card included. I was filled with joy. However, that ended when the watch was losing over 20 seconds s a day. I simply dropped the watch off at an authorized dealer for repair in Tysons. I was quoted a jaw-dropping 12-16 week turnaround for the repair. As discouraging as it was to spend thousands of dollars and need repair within a week of purchase, I wanted the quality that I invested in, so off it went. Feeling confident, I left with an empty wrist and voucher. Several weeks later, I received a call from the dealer informing me that my watch was ready for pickup. However, nothing was done as a result of the watch not being authentic. The Rolex Submariner watch. I was sold a FAKE ROLEX! When I inquired what the issue was, the dealer informed me I would need to contact Rolex directly to find out the details. At this point, thousands of dollars were dumped down the drain! My dream watch scenario was quickly morphing into a nightmare situation. Disappointment and shock would be an understatement of the decade! It was equally interesting that the authorized dealer that I brought the watch to wasn't able to tell the item was unauthentic initially. To be exact- a congratulations on my purchase was originally offered only amplifying the sting further. Rolex informed me that the watch was fake and that the Serial Number did not exist in their records. The certified card had all matching information and appropriate markings needed; details discovered during my research. After conducting hours of research and feeling confident about the sellers reputation, I made my purchase, only to be bamboozled in the end. I had become a victim of fraud! A 10-15 year prison sentence at stake I went to return the fake I purchased weeks before. When I entered, the seller claimed not to remember me or the original transaction - more salt I'm the wound. I demanded my money back as I recalled the details of my experience. The owner casually stated, "Of course I'll return the money for your purchase," as he feined shock that the item was fake. In the end, I was sold an extrenely well made high-end clone (1:1 available online). He further explained that he received the watch on trade by a trusted return customer that he would need to "have a talk with." My overall experience was absolutely traumatizing. The transaction was horrible and I would not recommend conducting business with the Diamond Exchange when purchasing a Rolex line product unless of course you are willing to spin the wheel and become another mark to pad the pockets of shady business practices. Simply having a store front does not make you reputable. It is integrity and business practices those of which are clearly lacking at the Diamond Exchange.

Updated this review 2 hrs after after leaving and having to return…read more Minus 1 star for charging $31.75 for a watch battery (I am equally annoyed with myself for spending this much) Minus 1 additional star because the back of the watch was not put back properly and popped off after I left and was at home. I had to go back to the mall to have it put on right (it doesn't just snap back on by hand) -------- Promptly replaced watch battery. A bit on the steep $$ side and I have needed it replaced for too long. Went here after not seeing the watch cart guy who was in the mall years.
