I think there's a lot Fidelity can do to be more client friendly. I don't think they "care" unless you've got beaucoup dollars. So until I have more than $250k or so I seem to not matter. But, I've been way more impressed just meeting with folks from Edward Jones to Merrill Lynch.

Lock us into a fourteen year contract with sila insurance company. First year we made nothing but the equity markets had an average of eighteen percent return. We were in the product for 3 - 1/2 years. And we only made 2.25 on the fixed. We surrendered ,( cancel the contract), as the result we had to forfeit all the interest made , payback the bonus and was penalized with the eleven percent of the principal remaining in account. Later , I learned he got a large bonus for selling us on that contract. He clearly violated his fiduciary obligations. I failed in doing my due diligence,and believing everything that came out of his mouth . We lost tens of thousands and plus hundreds of thousands of investment opportunity with this financial firm. Crown Haven turned into Frown Haven . They would rather you just survive rather than thrive in retirement. Take it from my experience run from these guys if you value your wealth.

Most recently I received a LETTER advising me they had a plan for some new investments. The letter stated I needed to take action before May 10! The LETTER was posted May 9. Never any follow up. In July they contacted me to make an appointment. At my recent appointment I was introduced to Quinn Teague. I was very impressed he took some time to introduce himself and to have me do the same. I expressed my concern of the turnover in the office and industry. He reassured me that he had plans to stay. I hope the company offers him incentives. I feel quite comfortable that my investments are in the right hands. It's early days but I think this is headed in the right direction.

I discussed that fact that I would need access to my funds and I have now been told that since I took one withdraw out earlier this year - (COVID related) I can't take money out again without significant penalties and surrender fees. I am beyond angry. I trusted them to put my money where it could grow and I could assess it once in a while if needed. The advisor I worked with won't call me back. He has had a compliance officer call me. I worked too hard for my money and now I'm being told that I can't touch it - even to put it back in 45 days - without significant fees. Fiduciary duty...not even close. I will be filing a complaint with the SEC, Indiana Insurance Commission and the Attorney General. STAY AWAY!
