She was like just go over to that desk over there, and pointed towards the left of the door there should be someone at the desk. I get to the desk I say there is no one over here at the desk. Well as I was going to address the teller, I hear a voice in the from a bankers office, that said "sir just sit your ass down in a seat, I know the teller heard what I heard because she looked at me with a shocked look on her face and then the teller said just please have a seat. A few moments this tall lady with long hair came from the office with an attitude as if I have ruined her day, and questioned me as to what I needed, she was not inviting at all, not a pleasan t person (Personally she should have stayed herself home) Just rude for no reason. So as I continue to sit she then call for me to her office, spoke with the person on the loud speaker with her in the room, I really did fine it odd, no name badge, no business cards when I did see them they were turned around backwards, and no name of anyone anywhere. I continued with the call and got what i needed to be sent to the back for pickup on the next day. So, The bank day 2. So I had to go to the bank again Thursday this time the branch manager was there so I casually go in to pick up the paperwork that I needed and I said, Who's the lady that sits at that desk she replied that's my office I said well that wasn't your office yesterday she said no that was La'trisha. I said OK thank you because yesterday she didn't have a name tag on and her business cards were turned around so I couldn't see them and the little tag around her neck there was no name either. So I just smiled and left.

    I had been searching for a drive thru banking option to deposit a check since I moved down here and…read morejust stumbled upon here. I do a lot of vehicular banking when needed. I was prepared when I showed up here, but that didn't seem to matter. What and why would a bank have two drive-up ATMs set up in the same lane? Why would you think this is a good idea? If you want to use an ATM you should be able to drive up, use it, and go. But not here. Two ATMs you have one of two scenarios that play out. Scenario one: you are the first car of two and can leave at will. However, every vehicle behind the second car has to wait until car number two is finished. Essentially making the first ATM unusable. To shine a bit more light on this, there is no possible way to drive around on either side. Scenario two: you are the second car and a finished. However, the person in front of your is taking longer than it should. You are essentially stuck with nothing to do but wait for the vehicle in front of your to finish up. That is, if the ATM will complete your transaction at all. I wait in the line watching to two scenarios play out only to find they would not finish my transaction because of the bank I dealt with. The lesson I should have learnt from this was to not waste my time with this business.

I scheduled an appointment for 3/13/24 @ 11am at the Lake Arbor Way Branch in Mitchellville MD. I walked into the bank at 10:52 am to the coldest non-welcoming establishment I've encountered in my 60 years of life. The two female tellers were greeting their customers by name, and they all seemed so happy. I acknowledged 2 people in suits in one of the glass offices but received no physical/verbal response. The security guard walked from the front door to where I was sitting and begin staring at me. I said "hello" and he kinda rolled his eyes and turned his head. A nicely dressed woman came from a back office, we made eye contact, I said hello, but (no response). She unlocked a door for the security guard, look at me again and returned to the back office. It was now, 11am and my encounter with four non-teller bank workers was so negative that I decided to get in the teller's line to get assistance. My heart sank, when the 2 friendly tellers begin to talk about me as if I couldn't hear them. To sum things up, they considered me a nobody/"maybe she's a carrier dropping something off". One teller came from behind the window in a professional manner, inquired as to why I was in the bank. When stating" I have an appointment, but I couldn't get anyone to assist me," she requested that I return the lounge area where I was previously sitting and being totally ignored. She went to one of the workers that initially dismissed me for assistance. The teller returned to inform me that the worker was busy and would get to me later. It was passed my scheduled time and the bank workers had verbally and/or through their actions, treated me as if I was a non-person/not important/waste of their on-the-clock time. I finally left without being assisted...as you can guess, BOA staff has not contacted me to reschedule, apologized, etc. it's as if I didn't exist to them. After a 2-hour search, I was able to locate and get my legal documents notarized for the price of $5. BOA Lake Arbor Way location is awful to "certain" clientele as this is my 2nd negative interaction at this location and (I've only been inside this location twice) SMH. BOA...you should never make a customer or potential customer feel unwelcome, or less than when visiting your establishment. Although, I don't personally have a large amount in my BOA account, I am a silent partner in two businesses that carries mega balances with your establishment (for now).

    Deciding to close my accounts with Navy Federal today after banking with them for the majority of…read moremy 14 years of military service and civilian life. I filed chapter 7 bankruptcy and was cleared of my debt. I've had a banner on my account marking me as a debtor for the 8 months of the bankruptcy and did not say anything because it was true. Now that my debt has been discharged for two months. I asked multiple Navy Federal employees for the banner to be removed, and told them it makes me feel ashamed and targeted. I was told that, even though the Federal government says I'm cleared of my debts and I've learned my lesson and have a second chance. If I bank with Navy Federal I have to keep that banner on my account. I'm a simple man from Alabama. If some shit seems like it's racist, it probably is. Y'all were awesome for a time NF. As soon as I figure out how to close my accounts, I will. Because y'all clearly forgot, I'm the customer and I always get what I want. -Andrew C

    I will be closing my Navy Federal Account after being a member for 30 years!…read moreI have banked with Navy Federal all over the globe active duty and civilian life with multiple loans paid off. The ATM machine ate $450.00 and did not record it as a deposit. I escalated this through their call center, who were very pleasant btw. Their call center referred me to the branch management. The bank manager would not meet with me. After going round and round with the assistant bank manager she finally went back to the bank manager and they provided a credit after basically asking me to beg. What are we buying a car here?? They were condescending and rude and kept referring to their problems as a bank. Your poor business practices are not my problem. My problem is you stole $450.00 from me and basically calling me a crook. Adios Navy Federal.
