UPDATED REVIEW: DO NOT COME HERE, ESPECIALLY IF YOURE BLACK!…read more I have been bleeding for 20 days today (a day I scheduel an appointment)I received a call from Libby Rankin, who informed me that the Women's Clinic would not see me BECAUSE I LEFT A 1 STAR REVIEW and because I specifically named the family nurse practitioner I was seeing, Rena Montgomery, in that review. This is a retaliation! The timing speaks for itself. I could not get this office to respond to my calls, emails, portal messages, or communication from my pharmacy. But after I publicly described my experience, suddenly someone was able to contact me to tell me that they did not want to see me anymore. That tells me everything I need to know about how this establishment handles criticism and patient complaints. During that phone call, Libby also accused me of not taking my prescription and not getting an ultrasound. Those accusations were made without actually knowing what I had or had not done, and circumstances regarding the ultrasound were already documented in my medical record. She was incredibly rude. She repeatedly interrupted and talked over me when I spoke. I also have unresolved questions regarding a potentially serious diagnosis that I discovered in my medical records myself and need absolute clarity about. The issue was not adequately addressed. Now, after weeks of attempting to get help, I am being left to deal with 20 days of prolonged bleeding while having to scramble to find another medical provider who WILL actually help me. Do NOT come here! I am devastated, furious, and completely disgusted by how this has been handled. I needed medical care. I needed communication. I needed answers. Instead, I was ignored for weeks and then dismissed after I complained about being ignored. It is also not lost on me as a black woman, that an all white practice will be so hostile, disrespectful, and dismissive of the issues they cause to my body. Being my healthcare providers, they should have been eager and willing to correct this very fixable issue instead, they have left me in a state of extreme prolonged menstrual bleeding. INTITAL REVIEW BELOW: The communication has become unacceptable. office implemented a virtual AI phone system that frequently disconnects calls or forces patients to leave a voicemail. I have left numerous voicemails without receiving a single callback. I have emailed the office, messaged my provider through the patient portal, and had my pharmacy contact and fax the office regarding a prescription. Despite exhausting every reasonable avenue, I still could not get a response. I have been dealing with prolonged and increasingly heavy bleeding for 2 week, and my provider, Rena Montgomery, is refusing to prescribe a medication to make the bleeding stop. The patient portal has also been extremely frustrating. The medication i need i cant request a refill on and Montgomery is refusing to prescribe it. She rather let me bleed excessively and abnormally I guess. Then I found information indicating that I may have received a serious diagnosis months ago that I was never informed about. The fact that I had to discover potentially significant medical information myself while trying to find another way to communicate with my provider is extremely concerning. Patients should not have to investigate their own records to find out about potentially serious diagnoses. There have also been billing issues where the practice claimed I had a balance that was incorrect. Overall, I am extremely frustrated and disappointed. The lack of communication, inability to reach anyone, problems with the patient portal, billing discrepancies, prolonged bleeding that has not been adequately addressed, and potentially serious medical information that I apparently had to discover myself have completely damaged my confidence in this practice. Patients deserve timely communication, accurate records and billing, appropriate follow-up, and to be properly informed about their own medical care

Said he would schedule testing, but later his nurse called and said I would have to wait another month and suggested that I have the testing done at a fertility specialist due to my age. They didn't even have my surgery listed in my patient chart, although it was performed by a doctor at their facility and they previously billed me $500. I don't know what is going on at this facility, but patient care doesn't seem to be their mission.

I made an appointment with MMWC as a new patient and was assigned to Dr Lee. Now let me add a…read morecaveat to this review...I have never met Dr Lee until the day of my appointment so I don't know if her demeanor during my appointment was normal or she was just having a bad day or it was the fact that her MA knew less about GYN issues than most men (it was apparently the MA's very first day at MMWC) but Dr Lee had decided before she even walked in the room what my issue is (I heard her in the hallway talking to the MA and asking the MA several questions that she didn't ask me). Due to the MA's newness she ran through the questions and didn't ask for explanation "because there were so many questions" and she apparently didn't have time to ask all the questions or get explanations for the answers and those questions that the MA did ask gave Dr Lee a very skewed idea of my issue and because of that she decided that my issue was due to a back problem even though during my exam and subsequent ultrasound I about jumped off the table due to the pain. When Dr Lee did ask me questions as soon as she heard the beginning of the answer, she cut me off and didn't listen to the explanation. I do have to say that the front desk staff was great and I was seen only minutes after my scheduled appointment. I was able to get in quickly when I called to make my appointment. The sonographer (the person who did my ultrasound) was amazing, she was very apologetic about the pain she was causing me and she tried her very best to help me feel comfortable during the procedure. I hope that Dr Lee was just having a bad day and that the issue with her new MA was the problem but Dr's need to listen to their patients especially OB/GYN Drs.

She reluctantly got my blood drawn to get them checked. They came back "normal." Went to another doctor who checked my hormones multiple times through my cycle after a miscarriage where I had very low progesteron. It was discovered that I don't produced progesterone as well as I should. I also had a poor experience with McDonald And a nurse. I don't recommend this office. Women deserve to be heard. Do better for your patient.
