Over the years we've seen some incredible performances over the year, from Vic DiBitetto - Tara Cannistraci, Christmas performances to various concerts. Did I mention free parking? I mean, you have free parking at Westbury Music fare but its a nightmare once the concert is over. At The Staller Center, everyone leaves in an orderly fashion, there's no rushing after you leave the performance. Hey, we're polite in Stony Brook! The Staller Center has a very nice seating arrangement. The seats are positioned where you aren't contorting to the side if a giant sits in front of you. The acoustics for the theatre are also of high quality, I heard iLUMINATE rock this theatre with their amazing sound! We performed there on 8/30/25. We are the Soul Jam Revue. The venue is full of that same charm that was there back in the 60's, 70's and on. I walked around taking in the movie shadows boxes (micky mouse) and this brought back so many memories! The seating there is all brand new, comfortable and spacious! They host annual art and music fairs which have been a staple in me and my wife's summer weekends. They also have great paint nights and drawing classes for local artists as well as kids who are interested in trying out this hobby. This is a really great little theater. No matter where you sit in this theater you can see…read moreeverything going on on stage, and the orchestra is excellent. Next time I think I would like to sit in that section. It's a little smaller, less seats and closer to the stage than where we sat. The play we saw was called, Half Time. It was a true story about older people who auditioned for the half time show for a basketball game. It was funny, entertaining and sad all at the same time. The actors did an amazing job. As far as the singing, some were better than others, but I think part of the problem was, some of the microphones were not as loud as others. It was still really awesome, and made the reality of getting older sobering and funny at the same time. I am not sure how long this show is running, but if it is still at this theater, you should go see it. I was able to only sneak two photos, since we weren't allowed to take pictures. I would go back to see other shows here. It's a great theater located in the great town of Port Jefferson!

Little gem of a museum tucked away up the hill from Main St in Port Jefferson. It was originally…read morethe home of John T. Mather, now houses antiques from the 1800s like old ships and paintings, hats and fabrics, toys and furniture. There's also an old lock exhibit, and other small exhibits on the property as well. Be sure to check out their museum shop next door which has some really nice antiques at great prices. Scored a stein for $18! Admission is by donation. A nice place to stop by if you're in the area.
