I…read morehave always been a fan of Nurse Practitioners as they seem to have more time to spend with their patients and more focus on teaching. Janice has these traits. Being a Renown Medical Group patient for 5 years, I have had the opportunity to visit each year for my physical and various other ailments. Janice always answers my questions, will listen to what I think is right for my own care and give me constructive criticism if she disagrees with me when I'm practicing "internet medicine". I like the fact that I can view my medical record online and if I have a question or need to renew a routine medication, I can use the email feature on their program "mychart". I feel that Janice practices quality, thorough medicine but also keeps the big picture in mind with keeping healthcare costs down. By viewing my medical record, I know that routine preventative medicine is followed and I know when to expect my next upcoming test. Janice has made appropriate referrals are made to other doctors when needed and I feel that the Janice and the other specialists work as a team when addressing my healthcare needs. I am happy with my overall health maintenance. The receptionist and nurses/assistants are very nice and I like that they ask if you've been out of the country in the past 90 days. This shows me that questions are thorough and detail and nothing is missed. I was recently seen for bronchitis and had to use the urgent care. The PA there performed a chest xr ay and had placed me on some antibiotics and other medications. After finishing the first course of medications, I still had not gotten better and went to see Renown Medical Group where I was placed on another course of medications. I felt that everyone was informed of my care. They also knew my allergies. I was assured that everything was ruled out and the continuity of care was smooth.

I called and was told NO......Kerri would order this After the appt?? I asked them to reconsider since I am leaving the country for 2 moths days after the appt so it would be useless at that point.....again, sorry but NO?? Well I called my HMO (Alingment Health) and a very nice person there said there is no reason I should not be able to get blood panel done before my appt, so he called them (Peavine family practice) and he was also told NO!! He came back on the line and suggested i switch my primary care physician, stating "they refused the request and were very unprofessional in how they spoke to him!! I guess if you just want to just "follow instructions", this practice might be fine for you, but I thought going to the doctor was supposed to be about the patient.....and if you feel the same way.....don't go here!!

I myself a little cocktail of ADHD, GAD, CPTSD, MDD, and ~OCD. I won't lie to you, exposure therapy is the hardest thing I've ever done. However, the differences between when I started and when I graduated? Freaking astounding. I was not even leaving my house anymore. The pressure of conforming to society and worrying and force masking myself to please whoever I was around wore me paper thin. OCD was making my life smaller and smaller every year. But now, after showing up and continuing to try things that specifically made my skin crawl and learned how to sit with it, I am back to living a relatively normal life. I leave my home whenever I have to (sometimes I even WANT TO ) and I'm back to handling whatever life throws at me without compulsing and avoiding for hours every day. Even rehearsing, masking, and people pleasing are at an all time low for me. I'm so much more comfortable being authentic. It's the hardest most confusing work I've ever done, but by gum it does the trick.

After entering the program I can honestly say I was entirely skeptical. Nothing about this program…read moremade sense to me. Until it did. I stuck with it, and I did the hard work. My life is far from being where I want it to be, and so incredibly different from where it was when I entered. They have a holistic approach for the most part, focusing on the whole picture, not just bits and pieces...symptoms. They allow me to make payments, interest free and not once have I felt this was money ill spent. I would gladly pay double to get the piece that I have gained from this incredible group of humans, who actually care. This isn't just. Job to them. It's a way of life and my life was forever changed by them.

They are on top of my records and labs; they take the time to go over everything, listen to any fresh symptoms, speak in direct English, explaining everything from what the labs mean to what they recommend, and we discuss together how to move forward. The staff is exceptionally kind, and it is so easy to make appointments, check-in, what have you. Oh, and if you're lucky, there are dogs. I've met both Hansen, who is training to be a therapy dog, and Wilfred, who I don't see as often but introduced himself very politely a few years back when the practice moved to its current location. In short, I trust Murphy (whom I'm seeing right now) and Pauline (who I saw regularly before Murphy and still see every now and again), and everyone with the practice. It's the best of both worlds in a way; you have people with terrific nursing skills who are as brilliant as any physician I've ever seen, or, you could say, it's a double win with dogs on top.

At approximately 1:45, a gentleman came in to pick up medication. The staff notified him that he had missed his appointment for that day earlier at 11:20 with the same provider that I had scheduled my appointment. The gentleman said he did not know he had an appointment that day. At, 2 PM they took him back to a room and said that provider would be in to see him next. I was still in the waiting room after 40 minutes. I immediately left.
