There is no shade but there are a few things to do while you wait for the electrons to flow. A North Carolina ABC store is close but I'd recommend walking over to Luigi's Pizza, the best New York style in Charlotte. A pho restaurant, McDonald's, froyo, Chick-Fil-A, IHOP, sushi, another pizza place, Publix, Lowe's Home Improvement and a full Walmart Supercenter. This is located just off I-485 not far from where it meets I-77. Convenient location. Two exits to the shopping center, the one to the west exits onto Arrowood and that takes you right to I-485.
