i've always visit jacky for my haircuts, he does a fantastic job with really listening to your…read morerequest and understanding what you really want. it's 36$ for a female haircut, this includes washing your hair and styled. i recently decided to dye my hair, requesting for an ash brown balayage. i provided him with a picture as per his request. four hours later my hair came out to be purple with grey strands around my head...like highlights. i paid a total of 250$. although that's not too expensive to have your hair professionally done, i didn't receive the results that i wanted and was very disappointed. i was told that the purple would "fade" but it didn't. i went back the next day to have it darken because i expressed my concern about my experience. he was hesitant to fix it but did anyways. though the second time around did come out darker, it faded back to the purple immediately. very disappointing experience and it really damaged my hair.

If you get the 1 min oil treatment it's adding oil to your wet hair with a nice massage no heating element necessary. $10 They take credit card however cash is 5% tax and if you use credit card it's full 13% tax. They do not accept American Express.

Then the stylist comes. I believe his name was Jucci (guy with glasses and greyish hair). He asks what kind of cut I want. I told him I just wanted a trim, and showed him I only wanted it 2 inches shorter max. He immediately laughed and told me, that's not a haircut. It pretty much went downhill from that. If anyone wants a TL;DR, this guy was a dick. My mom was trying to chat with him, since my Mandarin is not that good, but then we realized he couldn't speak Mandarin that well. He was being a little prick about it already, like "LOL uhh.. I don't speak Mandarin that well either". Anyways, I ended up telling him I wanted layers, because my hair did originally have long layers. Then he asked me if I wanted it straight at the back or a v shape. I asked for a v shape, not really knowing he was going to chop off almost all of the hair I dyed a few months ago. Ok, fair enough it was a misunderstanding. My mom started looking over to check on me once in awhile, and this guy has the nerve to say "why does your mom keep doing that? It's pretty rude. Do you guys need to be getting somewhere? .. I'll just take my time then". Wow. I didn't really know what to say, this guy can't even respect his elders and will just say whatever is on his mind to his customers. I know I'm around his age but seriously? It got to the point where he finished cutting one side, and saying "If there is a problem, you guys can just leave, free of charge". At this point I also started checking on the length he cut, because I was pretty shocked at how much he was cutting off. He started freaking out at this point too "You asked for layers, I gave you layers!" as if he deserved so much respect for giving me the opportunity of a haircut. Seriously? At this point I just wanted to get out of there. I waited for him to finish the other side, but he was taking his sweet time as mentioned earlier. He literally took 45min to cut my hair, and continue to thin it. I don't mind long haircuts normally, but it started getting annoying to hear his petty comments. It was already too late when he decided he would only cut one side of my hair. Obviously I can't object and have the other side of my hair look ridiculous. In the end he gave me a bob haircut -- really short layers at the top and super thinned out at the back. This is not what I wanted. I know a lot of people can say that I should've brought in a picture or been more specific about what I wanted, but I think it was mostly this guy's horrible attitude that wants me to give this place a 1-star. For a $40 hair cut, you'd expect better service. Luckily, hair always grows back so I'm not too upset by it as of now. I don't think I'll be coming back again.

But Travelling and trying many different hairstylists over the years. I can truly say Eddie definitely has the best skills of all the salons I've visited. I will definitely be coming here from now on more often And To let you know, the price is right compared to the quality of the haircut Also Eddie has a great personality to top it off Over the years, my son, for the first time was pleased with his last haircut (done by Eddie btw). In the Pickering mall, i had gel applied to my fingernails which was not done correctly. Two weeks…read morelater I needed my nails done and went to NRG Salon in same mall. The girl told me the other place should not have put gel on. NRG removed the gel with the electric nail sander - used mainly for fake nails. This procedure has completely ruined my real nails. They are splitting vertically and horizontally across the quick causing a lot of pain. I will never return to these two salons. Never! hi

What wasn't expected was this time I'd be leaving with an Edward Scissorhands hack job. She has some skill but not consistent, apparently. I went back to get this resolved/adjusted but I strongly feel the onus was placed on me to make suggestions as to how to address the stylist's fail which resulted in a missing chunk of hair at my face and top layers 2 inches shorter than what we'd - mutually - decided on and a massive disconnect. The best practice would have been to consult the salon owners to give a second opinion when I came back, given she knew I was coming in with a problem. They do extensions at that salon and that could have been offered for what would have amounted to a small insert and not a free head of supermodel hair. Given I'm stuck with hours of additional work at my end amounting to more time out of my day and money on styling products the latter could have also been offered. My bangs were uneven and she couldn't even correct that minor imbalance without screwing up. The salon owner called to discuss which unfortunately was a complete defence of the stylist and lack of client respect. Apparently my getting a refund was supposed to be enough which hardly accommodates the months of dealing with a crappy service. Sure the salon comment will be something like "not a good fit" "miscommunication" as per my conversation with the owner or a suggestion I go elsewhere. I'm ahead of them on the last point.

Given my active lifestyle which requires having my hair to be tied most of the time and away from my face, he recommended me to not go with my original plan of having curtain bangs since the bangs will most definitely be in the way.

The online booking system doesn't even provide a bang trim option. I get prioritizing full cut and colour apts for the money but, from a customer service perspective this is terrible treatment. As a QTBIPOC I can't help but wonder if this is typical Karen behaviour. This is especially so based on comment about textured hair. I walk in and I have a junior stylist not even on their website who does a terrible job and is visibly uncomfortable by curly hair the entire time (also upon looking her up online after... was still practising on straight haired dolls only a few months prior). I sent a message to manager the next day to talk through what happened - and the manager begins to get hostile and tell me her stylist was sad i was unhappy ... does not offer to fix it. After some back and forth agrees to a refund, then has her entire staff block me off of instagram. Incredibly unprofessional.
