She listens intently, is always present, never makes me feel like an inconvenience or rushed, and always has time for my pressing concerns without making me feel like she has more important things to do. Her nurse, Erica, runs the office like a dream and always quickly returns my messages or emails, and goes above and beyond to help me get the lowest cost on everything. Don't pay attention to that one-star review. That person has an entire collection of similar reviews that they've given on their profile. This office is hands-down the best medical office I've been to.

I never feel rushed when I see him and he always answers my questions and then some. I can't say, however, that I like the rest of this practice. The front end staff have been rude on more than one occasion and difficult when trying to make appointments. They are especially difficult when calling to speak with a nurse. They act like they are doctors and you are bothering them. I'm also not a huge fan of the other doctors and NP's who work here. Kathleen McKeon is quite standoffish and quick to get you out the door. Dr. Kim, who I have had to see a few times when my doctor was unavailable was the worst. Every appointment with her was a complete waste of time, with no resolution or answers. She refuses to give a referral to a specialist even though she can't figure out a diagnosis. She wasted months of my time when I had an urgent circulatory matter (a blood clot) that actually required an emergent CT scan with IV contrast. I didn't know it at the time, when I went to see her that it was a blood clot. Only after going to a quick care and getting a referral to a vascular surgeon was I told what it was. I will never take an appointment with her again and if you have anything out of the ordinary going on, I recommend you see another doctor. Would rate this practice lower, but I really love Dr Kazimierczak!

I had been in bed for two days and was due back at work but knew I couldn't make it thru an hour of it so I drove to the hospital. It's early afternoon on a Thursday and they had a 3 hour wait in the ER. Well I was absolutely too sick to sit in a waiting room for 3 hours- and that's just to get to step one. So I got back in my car and called Maine Med family practice and found out that they do have urgent care so I could be seen that day at a designated time just by a different doctor- but one with my records on hand. So much better . Seriously unless it's 3am and I'm in an accident I would ALWAYS prefer to just use my urgent care!! So today I had my physical. I received 3 vaccinations and was totally happy to realize the importance of having a regular doctor at a decent hospital. Going over the paperwork they gave me while there I realized that in the last few months they had amassed my entire medical history. I lived seeing shots I received in 1988. I don't have to remember that my Tetanus was due this year. They reminded me. Maybe it cuz I'm from a big city in California but insurance for me there always meant ER visits or clinic visits. Never this personalized care. They called me to set up the appt for my yearly physical. I didn't have to remember. Gotta love that. One less thing on the calendar to set reminders for.

The nurses are through and friendly and my Primary Care Doctor (Dr.Phan) is excellent. He hears out your concerns, includes you in the decision making process of your care and makes you feel at ease about your wellbeing concerns. I HIGHLY recommend him. As long as I'm in Maine this will be the location I will go to for care without hesitation.

Dr. Alvarez is very professional, nice, and really listens to your problems and concerns. I can't say for the other doctors there because I've only seen Dr. Alvarez. Kathy, one of many medical assistant at that practice, is so sweet and professional. The front desk staff as a whole are nice, but there's one receptionist that needs to work on her attitude. Every time I've checked in with her, she's just very snippy. Maybe she's having a bad day, but I've checked in with her more than five times so I'm not so sure. However, don't let that deter you because the care there is exceptional and they'll do whatever they can to facilitate your needs. If you are a Mercy patient, sign up with Follow My Health. All you have to do is ask the front desk receptionist to get you signed up. Once you do that, there's an app on your mobile device that is free to download and it's super convenient.
