Beautiful lavender farm with variety of fruit trees. Lavender is seasonal so I would call ahead to see if it's in full bloom or not. They have a cute gift shop with various lavender products that would make great gifts. Be sure and say hi to the goats and donkey. Hours are limited so visit their online website. read more

Seriously A Texas Hill country hidden gym. It's not that far off of 290 highway. there is no fee to enter. Customer service is always friendly and memorable. Barry season is blooming there. They have new lavender crops underway so lavender picking has been suspended temporarily. The views are beautiful as always. And the goats are hungry as always too and miss us. read more

Even though the lavender wasn't blooming during our visit, we still had such a wonderful time! The little shop was charming, filled with unique lavender products, and the atmosphere was peaceful and inviting. The owner was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even more special. I can't wait to come back when the fields are in bloom -- but even off-season, this farm is definitely worth a stop! read more

Really pretty drive through farmland. We stopped at the Chappell Hill Bakery & BBQ restaurant and that was also good. 5-17-2025 Attended a class this past Saturday on "The Art of Growing and using Herbs", very informative and fun. Bought a nice selection of Herbs/plants to start my Herbal adventure at home. The gift shop was very nice filled with all sorts of goodies and smelled heavenly. You can also feed the Donkey's and Goats outside. The property and scenery is beautiful, I'll defiantly go back. read more

How cute is this place! I came here with Thing Two's GS troop yesterday. This place has panoramic views that frame the landscape with rolling acres. It is everything that one comes to think about when dreaming of TX hill country. The gift shop has everything from linen spray, oils, seasoning, candles, balms, soaps, lotions, jams and jelly. They also have ice cream , drinks and lavender cookies. The outdoor area is shaded, with picnic tables and serves as a great place to have a sac lunch or picnic. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. Depending upon the time of year you visit, there may or may not be fresh lavender, therefore it is best to call in advance so you can get most of your time there. This is a place to see if only once. #supportlocal read more

Came here a week before the bluebonnet festival. It's a bit of a drive from downtown Chapell Hill. Sad to say I wasn't impressed. Overhyped online, but nothing like that when you get there. I've seen the signs for years and was always curious. I finally had some time to check this place out. I should have read the reviews. I was super excited to see the gift shop, but was disappointed. The shop is super tiny and very confined. Not easy to move around in. There are some items made in house but lots of mass products items for sale. I bought some delicious smelling vanilla / lavender essential which was made there - this was the highlight of my trip. Very limited lavender growing however it could have been from the recent freeze. Cute gazebo with a pond you can take pictures by, picnic tables, port-a-potties. Again, not impressed. Find some other cute shops in Chappell Hill or Brenham. Ps - I noticed that some of the photos posted by one one reviewer are not from this establishment l. read more

Cute place to find lavender, and a selection of fainting goats and donkeys. I came in an off season, so the lavender had not fully bloomed. Admission is free, and it's a cute place to check out. But be warned it is small. Staff was really friendly. read more

Good and not so great here. Had hoped to see more local and not mass-produced products. They advertised lavender lemonade and lavender ice cream. There was no ice cream and the lemonade was in a tiny cup half full??? The lemonade seemed very plain, but tasting the ice cube we did end up getting the flavor there. Goats in the back love getting fed so go visit them. read more

I have wanted to come to a lavender farm in Chappell Hill since 1993 and never have. I could have, just never did go. Finally got to stop before the next day's festival. Fields were pretty much picked over, but I did get to see a few lavender plants still in bloom. I bought two lavender plants that are early season bloomers and one, a late season bloomer. I never got around to planting two because I was drying them out to put in a sachet pouch. They were almost ready and my yardman threw them away last week. They smelled so fragrant too. Guess I will have to go back. Cute little shop and the boys bought their Mom some anti stress lotion and a dainty linen pouch to put it in. Nice little stop on the road home. read more

You know... It's alright. A cool enough lavender farm outside of Brenham, TX (home of Blue Bell Ice Cream...make sure you go visit the creamery not too far from here). The GOOD: the farm is huge. A nice pavilion/gazebo and pond both add to the scenery. You can pick your own lavender at $5 per bundle and peruse the gift shop for products. The OWNER is a friendly, helpful lady. The NOT-so-good: I aesthetically didn't care for how the lavender was planted. Most places have the lavender plant "beds"??? grown close together in a continuous row...row after row. These lavender "beds" or "patches" were grown far apart and made the farm look a bit amateur and spotty. I think I get what she was doing, though: in Texas, it rains so much. Growing lavender in a wet/rainy area presents a challenge because lavender has to be on raised beds, in full sun...allowing the water to drain away from it...and it has to be kept relatively dry or else it faces the potential problem of mildew. I think she was giving her plants as much space, air and room as possible considering it rains so much in the area, but I'd definitely close the gap between some of the plants for aesthetic purposes. I wholeheartedly believe it wouldn't hurt. Bring your farm together a little more. And the lady who does social media for them seemed a bit curt and entitled. Businesses...watch the people who do social media for you. Make sure they are genuine people who love to interact with folks. Cause if not, they can really hurt your business. And maybe you can make your farm a little more exciting by offering fun stuff to do? Maybe make a picnic area for people to sit and enjoy the farm? Maybe grow fruit and have u-pick orchards? Classes on making baskets and lavender pillows? Something. Have things that will attract more people. The Social media lady should get on that. Work, hunny. All in all, I really hope this lavender farm thrives and grows with creativity. read more

Such a cute place to picnic and you must try the lavender lemonade. Bluebonnets onsite great for pictures by a small pond.

I had the best day ever! I made an appointment to visit The Chappell Hill Lavender Farm and it was wonderful! Debbie is super sweet and her products are truly phenomenal. I've purchased several items online, but visiting in person was terrific. Being a "lavender nut", I only wish I could have seen the fields in bloom but hey, now I have a reason to come back!! read more

Chappell Hill Lavender Farm is a great little place to visit on your way into or out of Brenham. It's very scenic and is a wonderful place to take photos. The farm is a great opportunity for kids (and grown-up city dwellers) to get the farm experience and see farm animals up close. In addition to lavender and blackberry crops, the property also has a collection of friendly goats, donkeys, and cows. The donkeys in particular are very sweet. To top it all off, there's a nice little gift shop on the property where you can buy lavender soap, lavender lotion, lavender tea, lavender coffee, and pretty much anything else lavender. Perhaps the only thing they don't have is lavender wine- but that's okay, the proprietor of the shop was kind enough to let our group know that a local winery sells lavender wine called "Lady Lavender" at the Windy Winery. A++ for a nice shop and helpful people. Also, if you do go to the gift shop, you must buy some of the Lavender Milk Tea. It comes in a purple packet and it is AWESOME. I will probably come back to the Lavender Farm just for that because I can't find it anywhere else. read more

Chappell Hill Lavender Farm - While all these products are good, the Lavender Milk Tea is THE BEST. So tasty! - Flowers & Gifts Near Me - Brenham, Texas

We took a drive from Houston out to Chappell Hill for a change of scenery and happened upon the Lavender Farm. The owner was so sweet! She spent so much time with us, answering questions about the lavender plants, her farm and gift shop. When I walked into the gift shop I felt like I'd died and gone to lavender heaven. The scent was amazing. I felt immediate peacefulness - lavender has a way of bringing calmness like that! The boutique has several lavender infused products available for purchase- lotions, sachets, oils, soaps, spices and such. I opted for the 100% pure lavender oil which came in 2 sized: Small ($9.95) and large ($14.00). I purchased one of each and was delighted when I was offered a 15% discount plus a wonderful mini sachet! We went outside and visited the miniature goats and the owner let me feed their 2 mini Jerusalem donkeys. They were so sweet! I highly recommend giving this little farm a visit if your cruising thru the area! read more

Visited the lavender farm on July 4th after watching the parade and it was a wonderful experience. Talking with the locals who work there about the area, browsing and buying their selection of products made with the fruit of the farm, feeding the goats and enjoying the landscape were highlights and the stop only took an hour or two. Such a pretty place and nice little lavender gift store. We enjoyed some lavender lemonade and ice cream. Took a walk through the fields down to the pond. Took some pretty pics of our family. I wish the lavender or some of the fruit would have been in season to harvest so we could've picked some but we came at the wrong time. We will have to come back. It was still a nice morning and we enjoyed our time there. read more

I was very disappointed in this place. I really was looking forward to this place but I unfortunately didn't even get the opportunity to do that. Although the website states that they are wheelchair accessible let me tell you they are not. If you in any way use a wheelchair for mobility and can not physical walk a little bit this is not the place for you. The shop owner/attendant didn't even try to accommodate so that I could experience her products. I use a motorized wheelchair and she just looked at me and said, "I have a ramp but your wheelchair is big". Very unfriendly demeanor as she was afraid I would ruin her store. Please do not support establishment who refuse to be accessible in 2021. read more

We drove pretty far out of our way on our way back from College Station to Houston, because I had seen pictures of the lavender plants in the field. Unfortunately, we drove all the way there to find out that they had replanted every plant in the field. So, yeah, no lavender to look at all. Just a little shop selling lavender stuff. Do NOT drive out of your way, unless you're sure that the plants are going to be larger. They looked like little weeds while we were out there. Not much of a photo op. read more

Staff is very friendly here. My husband loves the lavender aftershave, and wishes he bought more. The lavender honey is really good here. This is off the beaten path, but totally worth the drive, and it is a beautiful drive out there. Definitely make this one of your stops while traveling between Houston and Austin. read more

Overhyped online. When you go to the "farm" it's about 3 rows of tiny lavender bushes. I feel like it was the size of a regular backyard. Super deceived by the pics. Will never go back. read more

We drove out of Houston to get some fresh air in the country. Being that we went on March 5, it was too early in the season for lavender to be blooming in the field. However, the beautiful rolling hills of the farm land, bluebirds, and recent addition of three Pygmy goats made for a truly delightful time. The lavender gift shop is decked out with more lavender-related items than I've ever seen at other lavender farms, and even walking past the gift shop forces one to stop and take a deep breath. (We bought two bars of soap, some homemade black tea with lavender buds, and some lavender sachets.) There are rocking chairs on the front porch of the gift shop and benches further out on the land to just take a moment to relax. The only negative part of my experience was my own fault- one who grew up with a cattle-raising grandfather in pastures should know better than to walk through farmland in flip-flops; I got a few ant bites. Being more of a city girl, I really appreciated that the family who runs this farm opened their land up to us and invited us to get a glimpse of that kind of life. Makes me jealous! I hope I can get back when it's greener and the lavender is ready. read more

Mildly entertaining in May but it's along drive from anywhere. The store is small, expensive and friendly. Sometimes they show you how to do crafts with bits of lavender. You can walk through rows of growing lavender and pick flowers for a reasonable price, but when we got there, it was mostly picked over. Also watch for bees. I mostly wandered a bit and then sat on a bench and watched my friends. read more

When my husband and I planned a trip to Brenham for the weekend, Chappell Hill was our first stop. I love lavender and use the essential oil in my diffuser, and thought it would be fun to go to a lavender farm. We loved walking around the farm and seeing the lavender growing. There was a beautiful gazebo at the bottom of the hill that was great for photos. The gift shop was so cute! We bought some hand painted coffee mugs, essential oil (of course), and lavender lemonade, which was delicious! If you're looking for someplace that's relaxing and a fun little date, I would highly recommend Chappell Hill! read more
