Initial impressions were that the office is conveniently located, as well as sparkling clean with a variety of seating areas in the waiting room with refreshments and Wi-Fi provided. While teens are likely the primary customers, I think any adults wanting to correct their teeth would feel very welcome here as well. On our initial visit, we met with a certified orthodontic assistant who gave us a tour and took my son's initial X-Rays and photos. She was very friendly and established a great rapport with him, even though he's a shy 11 year old who generally speaks in 1-word sentences. :) She showed us a series of videos that explained that orthodontics isn't just about correcting appearances but correcting physical problems with the teeth and jaw that can cause problems later in life. We met with Dr. Johnson who was also just as friendly and good working with youth. He took time getting to know my son and explain what his treatment would entail. We appreciate that instead of starting treatment immediately, he advised us to return in 6 months to allow my son's adult teeth a little more time to progress. They were able to schedule our return appointment at a convenient time that fits my work schedule and son's school day. The chairs are all in one 'room' together but you didn't have to worry about the staff being too loud that you couldn't focus. Dr. Lambert was awesome to work with. I made an appointment for my kids to be seen at Clark, Dean, & Associates. The employee I spoke with over the phone when making the appointment inquired about what kind of insurance we had, to which I replied that we were covered by my husband's federal employee insurance. She told me that they accepted government plans, made the appointment, and that was that. When we went for the appointment, the staff were all friendly. We had a short wait before we were brought back. The staff took x-rays of my kids' teeth, the dental hygienist gave them a 5-10 minute cleaning, and the dentist looked over my kids' teeth and x-rays. We were in the office for approximately 1 hour. When we were checking out, the employee said that she did not know our specific insurance coverages, but that she did not think we would have any costs to worry about. Fast forward to the following Monday- I receive a call from the office to inform me that this office does not accept our insurance and we now have a $390 bill for services rendered. Wow! When my husband went to their office to get a break down of what in the world they did that constituted a $400 bill ($45/child was strictly bitewings?!?!?), they informed him that it was typically their practice to check insurance coverages, but could offer no explanation of why this was not done for us. Absolutely unacceptable. We are fortunate that we are able to pay this very unexpected bill (all services would have been covered 100% with an in network provider). The clinic did offer a measly 10% cash discount, but I would have elected to find an in network dentist had I been informed that this office was not covered by our insurance. Shame on me, and shame on this office for not verifying benefits for their customers.

Dr. Klein mentioned that he had seen my review on Yelp and he apologized for the comment made during my last visit. He was very sincere and genuine! So I removed my original post. My visit there today was stellar! I have had horrible experiences with other dentist's trying to numb the areas in my mouth previously. This time , I have to admit, the procedure went extremely well and quick! And better yet, no pain and no tears! I want to thank Dr. Klein for being kind, thoughtful and sincere and clearing the air. It takes a big person to do that. He will be my dentist from now on!
