My boyfriend and I came to walk around and check out the shops. He enjoyed the hot sauce store and I enjoyed the art gallery featuring works of local artists. There is also a zip line feature in the center of the square and movie theater. The zip line looked to be the most popular attraction. The tour of the square took 30 minutes including our stop at a couple of the shops.

It's clean though, and relatively small with two floors. It's also open air so you aren't really separated from the outside bustle, but still kinda quiet to do some easy shopping. There's a jerky shop and a magic store toward the back. We explored those two and then went to the Mountain Edge Grill which is toward the front of the square. While I wouldn't really make this a definite stop in my itinerary it is kinda nice and easy to get to from the street.

There's the distillery where you can do free moonshine tastings (with an "s"). There are also shops for leathersmithing, blacksmithing, pottery and more. There are restaurants and a old-fashioned candy store with taffy, fudge and more made onsite. The employees of all the different shops provided great service and were all very nice and welcoming. Some of the pricing was a bit high, but these aren't items that you'll find on Walmart shelves. They are unique and hand-crafted.

Everyone was friendly and passionate about their craft. This really made our Galinburg trip memorable as it showed us great insight into the local crafters and the crafts that this community does. A MUST do while here, even if you only go for a couple hours. Prices were a bit high in our opinion, but you are supporting all local businesses. Selection was good and there was such a variety of things from pottery, jewelry, leather, local baked goods, wood work, etc. If you are seeking a crafty thing, it's probably here.
