I am extremely disappointed with both my results and the way my concerns were handled by Dr. Chapin. I originally consulted for a thigh revision to correct unevenness. I specifically requested liposuction multiple times, as my previous surgeon included it and it was necessary for symmetry, but Dr. Chapin told me it was not needed. It was not performed, and my thighs show no improvement. The extended incision now protrudes even more than before. I spent $3,500 on the thigh revision with absolutely no positive change. I also only agreed to the upper and lower back lift because Dr. Chapin strongly recommended them, assuring me they would significantly improve my contour. These were not procedures I sought out myself. After spending an additional $12,000, the results are extremely minimal and not at all reflective of what was described to me. What stands out most is how dismissive Dr. Chapin was of my concerns. From my very first follow-up, I expressed dissatisfaction, yet my concerns were brushed aside again and again. At my most recent scheduled appointment--where the office was already 20 minutes behind--I was told Dr. Chapin "didn't have time" to discuss my thigh issues and still perform scar injections, and that I had to pick one. This was a scheduled visit specifically meant to address my post-op needs, and being told there wasn't time to even discuss my concerns was incredibly disrespectful and invalidating. Anytime I pressed for answers or expressed that I was unhappy with the results, I was essentially told there was nothing that could be done and to "be happy with your body." This felt dismissive, minimizing, and completely out of line considering I had been raising the same concerns from the beginning and had invested significant money into procedures that produced little to no improvement. Because of the results and the way my concerns were repeatedly disregarded, I would not recommend Dr. Chapin to future patients. Photo attached to show my before and after. The photo speaks for itself. And these were the professional before and after his office took. read more

Chapin Aesthetics - Cosmetic Surgeons Near Me - Doylestown, Pennsylvania

I had a tummy tuck done a year ago following massive weight loss, and little did I know back then that I had picked an ARTIST for the job. I got incredibly lucky to choose Dr. Chapin. He is incredibly kind and funny, but more importantly he listens to your concerns and talks through everything with you. I told him I was in grad school and I felt like he truly cared - he would ask how it's going at every post-op visit. He's just a good person. On top of that though, he is a fantastic surgeon. My scar is a thin, faded, straight line now one year post op. My belly button looks natural. All of that is notoriously hard to achieve. I am so happy with my results. Dr. Chapin also PAID FOR MY UBER right out of surgery because I came to Doylestown from Philly and he knew I was a rather poor student. He didn't want me to worry about it while I was still groggy from the anesthesia. He is just a gem of a human, and an incredible surgeon. If you're debating on surgeons, I would recommend Dr. Chapin to anyone as a first choice. Lastly, his nurses are wonderful. Olivia doesn't work there anymore but she was the sweetest person I could've asked to take care of me (removing drains, assessing scars, etc). By the time all my post op appointments were done, she felt like a big sister to me. Thanks, doc. - Neet read more

Disrespectful of client's time. A client arrived one day early for her appointment time in error and was given my appointment time. When asked, reception staff confirmed the same. Nothing said to me. I asked to speak with office manager (not available). Requested a call from office manager. No response. Left voice mail message asking office manager to call me back. No response. No apology, no explanation given. My appointment had been confirmed via email and text. I arrived early for my appointment. Time and respect are valuable to all not just to Chapin Aesthetics staff. read more

Loved the results of the chemical peel done by Lisa. She did a great job. She listened carefully and addressed all my needs and concerns about skin care and aging. I greatly appreciated her professional opinion and insights based on her experience in the skin care field. I will be back for more treatments. The receptionist was very welcoming and friendly! read more

So today as I stepped out of the shower and was looking into the mirror judging different things about my body. Usually focusing on my mid section and breast which after birthing and nursing 3 children weren't the most attractive to say to say the least. Today when I stepped out the shower and dried myself off, and I had a tear in my eye. Not because I was sad but because for the first time in a long time I looked into a mirror focused on my once saggy breast and drooping stomach and saw what I always wished I had. I'm now 2 weeks post op with Doctor Prince. I couldn't be any happier than I am and to know there is still swelling and stitches intact. I love my body again. It's amazing! Thanks. read more

I just had a terrible experience today at Chapin Aesthetics and with Dr. Chapin specifically. I did not go there for any type of cosmetic consultation but was in need of a true plastic surgeon who could repair damage that had been done to my leg in an accident 1 1/2 years ago. I was told by my orthopedist that the work my leg required would need to be done by a plastic surgeon if I had any hope of repairing the the residual damage and get my leg to looking normal again. First, I arrived promptly for my scheduled appointment but was kept waiting for over 45 minutes--unacceptable. Upon calling the front desk from my exam room (as I had no pants on) to inquire when I might be seen as I had to leave within the next 15 minutes to attend the Board meeting for an animal rescue I volunteer with, I was told someone would be in shortly. Dr. Chapin then arrived 5 minutes later. I explained why I was there at which point he inquired what my issue was with my leg. Upon pointing out to him the deformity very evident on my leg, he then proceeded to tell me "facts" about what had happened to it and what he thought the issue was, which was not even close to what my orthopedist told me. When I questioned him and presented the actual facts of the previous injury (which he did not seem to know even though my doctor had forwarded my records to him and I do not think he reviewed prior to the appointment), he then said he would not proceed with the appointment as I "was not listening" to him. I guess having the temerity to question a doctor and point out where he was in error on facts stated quite clearly in the records was not something worthy of his time. Obviously, he is not a true plastic surgeon but simply someone who does "aesthetic" work, not the skilled type of surgery that a true plastic surgeon worth his salt can do. Do not waste your time and PLEASE go to another, more skilled, qualified, and knowledgeable doctor!! read more

I can't say enough wonderful things about Dr Chapin and his practice. The moment you walk through the door of the beautiful, Doylestown Victorian house you feel at home and comfortable. Kristin, who greets you with a beautiful smile at the front desk, is cheerful and welcoming. Dr Chapin is so kind and really listens to what you, as a patient have to say. Dr Chapin is a kind and compassionate man. He listened to my concerns and answered every question that I had. He thoroughly explained what his plan was and I felt like we were definitely on the same page when I left. The day of surgery he greeted me with a warm welcome and we again discussed our plan of action. His kindness and his encouragement were greatly appreciated. He thoroughly explained what his plan was and I felt like we were definitely on the same page when I left. Surgery was a great success! He was able to do exactly what he promised and the results are stunning! My follow up appointment was Christmas Eve. Most people were home with their family however, Dr Chapin was In his office waiting for me with a smile. He assured me that everything looked perfect and he would see me again in two weeks. At that appointment we both agreed that the surgery was a great success. I cannot recommend Dr Chapin enough for any of your plastic surgery needs. I had an augmentation in December 2015 by another surgeon and was unhappy with my results. I knew I wanted a revision but was anxious about something going wrong again and about the financial burden so I waited years before deciding to fix it. I first met with Dr. Chapin in April 2019 after seeing 3 other surgeons. When I met him I knew that he was the best I'd get and I canceled all other consultations I had scheduled and decided to move forward with him. He explained everything in great detail and his confidence and knowledge made me sure he'd give me the results I wanted. Being someone with anxiety I know that I can be difficult for some people with my many questions, concerns, and need for detailed explanations but Dr. Chapin never made me feel like a nuisance. He offered detailed explanations and made me feel like he was happy to spend the extra time with me to ensure I felt at ease with the surgery. I never felt rushed or brushed off. One example is the pre-op appointment. My husband came with me and we brought a big list of questions. My husband was asking them and checking them off as he answered. When he asked if there's anything else my husband said no but Dr. Chapin saw things not crossed off and asked about them. Another doctor would have been happy with the answer no and left but Dr. Chapin is a perfectionist not only in his work but in his attention to his patients' emotional well being. My surgery was successful and I am so happy with my results. Thank you to Dr. Chapin and the entire Chapin Aesthetic team for your help through the entire journey! read more

It took alot to make a appointment and follow thru.. I was coming to talk about lipo and a tummy tuck. Feeling nervous and scared I was asked to put a gown on and I stood in front of the doctor and nurse which is very embarrassing especially when your not comfortable with your body. A body you always "hide". But I know that this is his profession and sees body figures all the time but personally it was hard for me to "let it all out". Well... I was told that I had to loose weight first ?! I was so embarrassed and felt so upset. Clearly I'm over weight which is why I'm looking to get a tummy tuck and lipo. I was told to go to the gym and loose some weight first. I was mortified! Clearly I know I'm over weight if I could loose the weight at the gym I wouldn't of been standing in a gown and underwear in front of a dr looking for help! I was so upset. I got dressed and left. I was so embarrassed and I couldn't wait to get out of that building. The moment I got in my car I busted into tears and cried and cried.... I know he does great work and when I told my friends who have gotten work done by him they said yes he has told so-n-so the same thing to loose weight first. I just feel that I came there for help and to be told that just crushed me..... I'm sure he had his reasons and explanation for saying that... However to tell someone who is standing there who knows they are over weight... It's just not helpful to their self esteem especially if they are at that last option to get lipo or a tummy tuck....... read more

My daughter had a hemangioma on her face- right below her eye that made her look like she had a chronic insect bite. Nicole was the nurse that helped us with the laser procedure. I went to see Dr Chapin as a second opinion on my tummy tuck and liposuction procedures. Dori, his consultant even offered to help try to have one of the procedures covered by insurance ( skin condition) which I found surprising and encouraging. By the way, insurance ended up not covering a breast redux but we tried. The fact that they would assist in that made a huge impression. On to the first visit. Dr Chapin has a personality that suits cosmetic surgery. He's pleasant, friendly but very professional. All business when it comes to procedures and I like that. When I told him I wanted to be able to have a nice repoir with my surgeon he shook my hand and said, "Well, it was nice meeting you." and he walked out. I was stunned but then he turned around and said.. just kidding... Let's find out what you want and we'll show you some photos of what we can do here. Back to business after the brief levity. See what I mean? I don't want to be on a Christmas card list but I want to feel secure in whom I've chosen to make my body the way I imagine it can be. He was able to put me at ease, assure me he wanted me to be happy with his work and that he would do whatever he could to make that happen. Without even getting the pricing for the procedures, I had decided Dr Chapin would be my surgeon. First visit.. A+ Got the pricing and it was more than $4000 cheaper than the first surgeon in Jenkintown. Now here's the thing...the Jenkintown surgeon is closer and operates out of Abington Hospital but Dr Chapin is over a half hour away and ops out of Doylestown.. so should I go so far away when AMH is 5 minutes from my home??? The answer ABSOLUTELY!!! He's worth it! Each time I spoke with the staff or Dr Chapin, I was made to feel as I was a valued patient. At the next visit, we had the time and date set for my surgery at Doylestown Hospital, got all my pre-op testing done prior to the surgery date and had all the financing in place. Dori explained how each place would ask for payment and when. Between the hospital and Chapin Aesthetic Center, it was SMOOOOOOOTH. Second visit..A + Here's a hint: don't use "care credit". they have issues and you don't want to get into their problems. I got a zero interest credit card for the amount of the surgery and have 9 months to pay it off without interest. By the time I have to start paying interest the balance will be so low that it won't matter. Surgery day, Superbowl Monday 2011. Doylestown Hospital took excellent care of my husband and me, walking us thru the procedures that Dr. C would expect. Got measured and weighed for the surgery then he came in chatted with us and marked my areas to be made beautiful. I like to say that cause it's how I feel now. I was in good spirits and really anticipating the outcome. Not nervous at all. They took extremely good care of me at DH. Everyone was beyond expectations.! It helped that I had done months of prep, research on before and after photos, watched youtube videos of Becky and her surgery .. check her out because she was/is an amazing woman who documented her entire surgery and recovery for a year. That was inordinately helpful in keeping my worries or expectations where they needed to be. Be prepared! Look at photos, learn what to expect and check out Tuckthattummy.com for a whole host of answers to questions you WILL HAVE. It prepared me extremely well. DR. C and his staff were amazed at my calmness and prep, I think. It will keep you in a positive state if you do. After surgery, great follow up from the office and DH. They make phone calls to keep in touch with you. Lori and Kate took great care of my stitches at each visit. They were caring, pleasant and professional. Thnx ladies. 2 Weeks after surgery I had a hematoma develop that no one could have anticipated. He opened up the area about an inch, taught me how to pack it but we ended up having to go back to surgery after a week of it not getting much better. So at week 3, I went back in to have the area cleaned out, a drain put back in ( ugh! but necessary :) and stitched back up. It was the prudent course of action and I understood that. No one WANTS to go back to surgery but it was going to make it all better so I put on my big girl panties and did what I had to do. So I had post op visits at day 4, 1 week, 1 month and 2 months. At the 2 month mark we did post op comparative photos... WOW!! Now at 8 weeks and discharged from his service, I LOVE MY BODY!!! Seriously so very happy and amazed at what he was able to do. Scott Chapin is worth every penny you'll pay him and he is so happy to see his patients walk out of his office feeling that way too. He's genuine, professional, reasonable in price and has a great work ethic. I think you'll be so pleased with your results if you give him the opportunity. But go in prepared with honest expectations and reasonable goals, information. It will make your life so much better for having put in that time to research it. read more

During my initial consult, I loved the little nurse that came to set me up, She was so very kind and polite! She then gave me a lesson on what products could be used and pricing, there was NEVER any pressure to purchase products. She is amazing. She is attentive, informative, warm, professional and very thorough. Now here comes my doctor I like him, he is friendly enough. He did make a comment that pissed me off. I was there to have restylane injected in my lips, I didn't mention any movie stars or bring ANY pictures I just told him I want them bigger! And FAST! He understands but than says, "you know your not going to walk out of here looking like Angelina jolie"....Ummm OK!? I know he has to tell clients this so they don't have false expectations, but I don't think I "APPEAR" to be unstable and who even said ANYTHING about Angelina???? So he makes what is understandably a mildly uncomfortable experience as painless as it can be. Here is where my little nurse lady comes in again! As Im not a very touchy feely person, she rubs my arm and says your doing fine. AWWWWW, now at the time I didn't know i appreiciated this gusture, but thinking back what a sweatie! I have never had bruising, when he's done - he's THAT good. I could not be happier with both his style of work and the subsequent results. As I sat there post-procedure icing my face a bit, I perused the binders of before and after photos. WOW! I've never had Restylane or Botox or Titan or any of the other services he offers, he'll be my go-to man. Also, you could not ASK for a more beautiful setting. Instead of scrambling to find parking near some soulless medical office or high-rise, you get to park right in front and visit her in a darling Presidio cottage. That's half the fun! A few people commented on the higher-than-average prices; I never did comparison shop because if London says it's the way to go, her word is final. As I understand it, most of those $99 per session places have one laser. Now, reading my reviews, you will see that I am a budget-conscious girl - I just do not get this pay-$60-for-a-mani-pedi- but when it comes to your FACE, do you really want to be a cheapskate? Um. No. Save the thriftiness for your nails, or groceries, or whatever else, but your FACE deserves the best care your dollars can buy. I will eat RAMEN to have Dr. Chapin do the work I need rather than go to a bargain basement clinic where a non-MD is doing the work. ~Shiver~ HIGHLY recommended! read more

This place sets the standard for customer service. It was the friendliest office that I have ever set foot in with a staff that is knowledgable and talented. I went for a glycolic face peel with Lisa, and she provided me with a wealth of information about my skin and how to treat it properly. She never tried to push the sale of any products on me though, which was a nice change from other spas that I have visited. Additionally, I went with a Groupon (which can sometimes cause a place to treat you second-rate citizen) and the staff was just as kind and accommodating. I will be going back for all of my skin care needs and this is a great place to try, if you have never been. read more

I had breast augmentation and lift done by Dr. Chapin and the outcome has been terrible! One breast is hard and causes pain and the other is soft and "water falling," so he calls it. When I went back to him he gave me a price double of what I paid before to fix them! I have horrible scars and my breast is as hard as a baseball and is so embarrassing. He was not helpful and does not care about his post surgery patients. I would strongly recommend looking for other surgeons for breast augmentation!! read more

I had a wonderful experience not just from a patient care perspective but the initial consult was extremely helpful in making my decision. I've thought of getting a breast augmentation for years and finally went through with it. I am so happy with the results, they are absolutely *perfect*! I must acknowledge Dr. Chapin and the staff for being very professional and providing a friendly environment. I had my consultation with Dr. Chapin in regards to having a male breast reduction procedure. He went over the procedure and seemed confident he could correct my issue. And even though the price was a little higher than I expected, I decided to have the procedure done because I wanted it done right. Everything leading up to and including the procedure itself seemed smooth. I knew it would not be a cut and dry procedure and there could be post op complications and it would take time to see final results so even though I briefly mentioned concern about one side, I decided to be patient and let some time pass. After developing a seroma and lumps under said side, I started to get concerned and brought it to his attention. This is when I started to realize either he did not have much experience and had no clue what was going on, or he just completely did not want to acknowledge the poor results. After going back one more time in February, he told me to wait a year and it didn't look "that bad". Moral of the story: do your homework and make sure surgeon has experience in particular procedure. Looks like I will have to pony up another 4k to have someone else correct it. read more

I am experienced with plastic surgery and Dr Scott Chapin has finally given me the results I have been looking for for over 22 years. Two previous breast augmentations (one w a lift) gave me a great deal of knowledge on the process. My previous PS retired and my research brought me to Chapin Aesthetics. From my first consult to my pre-op to my surgery day and follow up , the ENTIRE office was exceptional. Dr. Chapin is a perfectionist and offers his input but also listens to what you desire. I had a revision due to a deflation and Dr Chapin directed me to the research I personally needed to see the safety/ benefits of silicone. Even after a minor post surgery issue, Dr Chapin and Dr Prince were responsive and quick to avoid further issues. I trust Dr Chapin with not only the aesthetics which are important to me, but also my health which is paramount. In a world full of surgeons insist on the best and one that is board certified and experienced. I therefore recommend Chapin Aesthetics without hesitation. read more

I recently had a procedure done at Chapin aesthetics. I first met with Dorota who seems to serve as a sales person and calls the bill her quote which sounds odd to me and suggests that people are charged differently for the same procedure. After the meeting with Dorota you then meet with a nurse. You will never see Dorota again. The nurse is nice but pushes the skin care products which are horrible. After my procedure I was told I had to use Meg21 face treatment. I paid quite a bit for procedure and thought this was included but it wasn't and I was charged $127 for cream which was totally useless. Dr Chapin seemed very nice but my follow up he didn't even come to see me and instead I met with the nurse. I have been to several different places and the doctor always meets with their patient for the follow up and he apparently doesn't. If you do work on someone and take pride in your work you want to see the outcome and see how your patient is doing- not the case. Finally, the procedure I had done did not produce results that were suggested I would achieve. read more

I have often gone to Chapin Aesthetics for chemical peels. However, last week I came in and was assigned to a new aesthetician. Her name is Dionna and she was absolutely fantastic. I would say as far as medical aestheticians come she is as good as it gets. I received a DermaSweep treatment that made my skin simply glow. Dionna was extremely knowledgable and took the time to educate me not only about what new skincare treatments and products were on the market but also exactly what products would be best for my personal skincare regimen. I am already seeing results with the products thatI purchased on my last visit!!! One product in particular SkinMedica's TNS Essential Serum has made all the difference. Dionna really helped to create an actual plan for what skincare services are best suited for my skin and what the next steps should be for me. I have also been considering on making a Botox consultation and learning more about fillers - I will definitely be doing that with Dionna! read more

I went to Dr. Chapin in March of 2016 to discuss a Lower Body Lift, after I had a lot of excess skin from a 100+ pound weight loss. My initial consultation was very nerve racking. I was so uncomfortable in my own skin let alone standing in front of a doctor who's pointing out all my "problem areas." Everything about Dr. Chapin was completely professional and my nerves were quickly put at ease. Dr. Chapin is an artist, he was able to look at my problem areas and completely make me feel confident and hopeful in the kind of results he would be able to achieve. My surgery was scheduled for May 2016 and went off with out any problems. To my surprise Dr. C was able to remove 12 pounds of loose skin from my body. It has bee roughly 4 months since my surgery and I am completely healed. I could not be more pleased with the results or with the care I received from Dr. Chapin and the entire staff at Chapin Aesthetics. From my initial consult to my final follow up visit, everyone was so welcoming and supportive that it made me feel like a member of the family. Choosing to have this surgery is the best thing I could have ever done for myself, and I could not be more grateful for the work and results Dr. Chapin has given me. I will without a doubt highly recommend him to anyone I know looking for a plastic surgeon, and I will certainly be seeing him again for more procedures at some point in the future. read more
