Tried to get an appointment as suspected of having a minor stroke. 111 service stated I needed to see a doctor that day. Receptionist would not book an appointment for me as I had to do it online. Said I could book an urgent appointment online for that day, which was incorrect. Called back and receptionist was obstructive but eventually arranged a call back. She then lied on my medical record about our conversations. Eventually was called by a junior doctor who after consulting with a senior colleague suggested that if I could go Private I should find a specialist online who could help me, which begrudgingly I did. Turns out I had had a stroke and Chapel Street Surgery did absolutely nothing to help me. Appalling incompetence, negligence and irresponsibility from my so called GP of 30 years. Complaint raised with CQC and Chapel Street sacked as our family GP. Good riddence to a useless service!! read more
