Dr Grant's practice consists of 3 Doctors all of which I have seen or been treated by with varying…read moreexperiences so I'm going to break it down. Dr Rahim: I've seen Dr Rahim a few times and was not at all happy any of the visits. The woman made what was supposed to be happiest day of my life really quite miserable. Let me explain.. December 2009. Just a week before I was due to sit my Fitness Instructor exam and the following day fly out to St Lucia for our Weddingmoon (Wedding and Honeymoon) I started to feel quite ill and knowing the symptoms I knew exactly what it was the start of - A chest infection and having Asthma I have to be super careful as last time an infection went untreated I ended up hospitalized! So as soon as the surgery was open I went for an appointment and as it was last minute I had to choice but see Dr Rahim. I explained the symptoms and my concerns, even pointed out the importance of treatment and the upcoming weekend but she assured me I was 'fine' and sent me on my way. 2 days later I was even worse and ended up going back but again told the same thing by this horrible woman. I tried making another appointment with another of the Doctor's here but they had none free so I gave in and tried to treat myself with various medications from the local Loyds. Only 2 days later and the morning of my exam I ended up in Chatham Dockside emergency surgery on a nebulizer way into the afternoon! The doctor there was shocked I had been left untreated and was nice enough to prescribe both Antibiotics (very strong) and anti-inflammatory's as it had spread to a throat infection also. I kept quiet about my upcoming flight through fear of being told I was too ill to go which was then just hours away and went off on our destination wedding as planned. 2 weeks all inclusive was ruined by 1. Not being able to drink - not even a Champagne toast on our Wedding Day, My Birthday or Christmas! and 2. Feeling like complete shit, drugged up, sore and very drowsy. I even lost my voice for a whole day and lost all use of my taste buds for the best part of week. It took me 2 months to fully recover. I was also in training for the London Marathon and not being able to workout for so long set me back months which meant I was unable to take part! Not a happy bunny. Score: 0/5 Dr Grant: One of the most professional doctor's I have experienced. Although he is my designated Doctor I have only seen him a handful of times over the space of 5 years. The last being when I had a very painful Varicose Vein that needed to be surgically removed. Having already been to Dr Rahim just a few weeks before and being sent away I went to see Dr Grant regarding the immense pain and swelling from the Vein in my right leg. He really was wonderful and decided that the best thing would be surgery to have it removed. Being in a job that had me on my feet all day he explained it would only get worse so he referred me Chatham to have it removed under general anesthetic. After the surgery I returned to see Dr Grant for a check up where he then signed me off of work for a further 10 days (having already had 14) and made a note on the certificate for work that I must 'take it easy in the first few weeks back'. Very nice Doctor and very professional. Score: 4/5 Dr De Bie: Only ever visited Dr De Bie for a repeat prescription of my Asthma pumps which was probably the quickest appointment in history I don't have much personal experience with him but having been along to a few of my husband appointments with he was great. After my husbands motorbike accident he had many trips to and from Dr De Bie with pain and some unusual bleeding we both got to know him very well. Each time he was very professional, super friendly and attentive. He also signed many sick notes for my husband with no problem at all and when it came down to prescribing pain pills he went out of his way to make sure my husband got something he could actually take as he has real problems swallowing pills. Dr De Bie is now known by my husband as 'the good doctor'. Score: 5/5 In conclusion - If you need a Doctor at this surgery use Dr Grant or Dr De Bie as they are really good! Unfortunately though Dr Rahim has brought their score way down (Shame on you lady!).
