Seriously one of the prettiest venues I've been to! The view was beautiful. I will say it's a smaller space, but small isn't bad. The staff was a tad rude. Overall a beautiful place to get married.

Wonderful open space Chapel for wedding during COVID! The scene was great and the chapel was really cozy and adorable.

The most perfect place to get married. It's a beautiful location and the staff is so accommodating. We got married in January at night and had all of the gas lamps lit. It was very romantic. They also have beautiful locations to take photos all around.

Just here to support my best friends for their renewal.

Such a beautiful venue. I don't know where to start with this review. The scenery, the setting, the grounds design and architecture. Amazing, this is a hidden gem of Buda, TX. I was lucky enough to be able to schedule off work to witness my best friends of near 20 years, renew their wedding vows at their 10 year mark. I didn't get to see them get married due to I being in another state at the time. Didn't get an invite but it was geographically understandable, so would have been nice though. I love these two to death so it's all good, no grudges.... but I will never forget it lol. The grounds have this beautiful stone like watchtower, and the chapel is an open building so it's open to the elements but still an amazing lil chapel. After a ceremony is concluded the married couple gets to RING the bell. My buddy also rented out the lobby/bar for our small party so that made it even better. We were the Masters of the property. No one else to bother us except the staff who existed to serve us that day lol. Seriously kuddos to the staff, they were amazing. Maybe one day I will go back but it is quite the drive when you're coming from over an hour away.

We got married at this beautiful chapel on 8.11.18. I HIGHLY recommend this place if you are looking for quiet, simple, and beautiful with stunning views of the hills. Easy reservation, easy event. Just easy!!!

This location is absolutely stunning. The reason I gave it three starts is because this medium build brunette working in the gift shop was the rudest person I've ever met. Literally. She was also rude to the guy working with her. It was so tacky. I was under the impression that if you donate the $200 reservation fee you were given the brick as a keepsake (I was told this by a gentleman when booking), but I was wrong. She attempted to make me feel like an idiot. She was such a damper to my wedding day. After my ceremony I wanted to purchase a few keepsakes from the gift shop, but I didn't because I didn't want to deal with her. She was that rude. I hope a manager sees this.

The Bell Towers make for the most perfect backdrop.

Chapel Dulcinea is tucked away in the Texas Hill Country and is one of the most magical places to get married at. As a wedding photographer, I have photographed at this special place numerous times. The weddings can be intimate, elopements or with a large group of family and friends. It caters to all. The bride's room lets in perfect light as well as the groom's room which is closer to the chapel. I have been photographing here for almost ten years and the place is always changing with beautiful upgrades including a paved path to the chapel which makes it handicap accessible. Chapel Dulcinea has chair rentals for guests. If you are doing a nighttime ceremony the lanterns can also be turned on for an additional cost. The chapel itself is an open-air Tuscany type structure that overlooks the Texas Hill Country. If you look below you can see a statue of a cougar and Don Quixote. There is even a pavilion on the path where you can do a toast, have a first dance or cut your cake. The whole venue itself is breathtaking. I love the bell towers and all of the stunning statues that adorn the place. I highly recommend this venue to anyone wanting to elope or have an intimate wedding with close family and friends.

I would recommend this chapel to anyone looking to have a small intimate wedding or an elopement. It is beautiful. I had 32 people at my wedding. I rented chairs from the chapel. All 32 people could sit comfortably inside the chapel. The hour and a half was plenty of time to do touch ups, have the ceremony, family pictures, and bride and groom photos.

Beautiful views

Such a beautiful place for a wedding ceremony. Had my here and I loved it ! Would recommend to anyone looking for amazing views.

This place is the best! I was a little skeptical going in about this whole "free" thing since I normally very much believe that you get what you pay for, but the venue was awesome. We had our wedding there in January, but had the reception elsewhere. There wasn't a ceremony before ours (10:30 am), so we were allowed to get there a little early which was nice. They do have a little changing room that you can use, but I would definitely suggest coming as ready as possible since the room really only has a toilet room, mirror and a screen to change behind. They really aren't kidding when they say the chapel is small - permanent seating for 12. We did add some chairs to accommodate up to 40, but I wouldn't recommend going beyond that since there are pillars that will obstruct your guests' view if you have to add more than 30 seats. Don't forget that it really is an outdoor chapel, so if you're thinking about a mid-day ceremony in the summer - it's probably going to be pretty hot. Again, we were married in January so it wasn't a problem for us. The weather was actually perfect - drizzled in the morning, but was in the mid-60s for our ceremony. If you're looking for something small and low-key, you should definitely consider this place!

Ask the Community - Chapel Dulcinea

How far of a walk is it to the chapel from the parking area? Concerned about elderly relatives attending the wedding.

It is approximately a 2 minute walk from the Chapel from the parking lot. The path to the Chapel is paved and on a slight incline. There is a wheelchair available to be borrowed from the Welcome Center.

Are there any restaurants near by that stay open till 10pm?

There is nothing around this venue it's completely residential.

HOWEVER, for convenience, we also chose to have her reception on site at the Veranda Room, since it was to be a small gathering (45-50 people). Indigo and Joe, the couple in charge of renting and maintaining the Veranda Room, left a LOT to be desired. Indigo was our first point of contact. She seemed extremely uninterested in showing us the venue and was very difficult to get ahold of from day 1. When we were finally able to plan to meet her with the wedding coordinator, she showed 15 minutes late and skulked in the back of the room, not approaching or interacting with us in the least, until I approached her and asked if she was Indigo. During this meeting, we laid out the entire reception plan. As is standard, our coordinator outlined a specific table setup inside, which included dancing on the patio. Indigo was present for this meeting, yet we were not told any of what we outlined (with her) during that meeting was an issue until the day before the wedding. Admittedly, this was ultimately a shortfall on the part of the planner (she misunderstood the number of tables available), but it also tells me that Indigo was not in any way engaged in the lengthy conversation we all had with her that day and didn't actually look at the plan until the day before the event, which was then followed by several frantic phone calls to me for a resolution. Fast forward to the day of...they don't give you much time to set up the entire reception, as the reception reservation was from 5-10 pm (the ONLY availability without having to reserve it all day, we were told), and the ceremony time that came with it was 5:30-6:30, with no wiggle room whatsoever. We knew this and planned accordingly, but would never have been able to pull off such a tight schedule without a LOT of help. According to Indigo, Joe was 'in charge' of sound. However, he was always 'unavailble' and never showed to go over their sound system until 10 minutes before the couple walked in, and then announced that we were not allowed to have music on the patio, where we had planned weeks before, WITH INDIGO, to have the dancing. Thank heavens our planner was able to pivot on a moment's notice, or things would have taken a nosedive. It did cause me to miss a lot of the photo time between the ceremony and reception because I had to pair up with the day of coordinator to become the conflict resolution specialist, for which, as the mother of the bride, I'm still pretty salty. To add insult to injury, my daughter (the bride) reported that, during the reception, Joe approached her and announced loudly in front of her group of friends that they are running the place at a loss and made a big deal about how he and his wife "have to come back to clean up whenever there is a wedding." It warrants noting here that we paid full asking price for this venue, so if they need more to run the place at a profit, they should include it in their price point instead of trying to guilt the bride at the reception! Also, if it is a problem to work at night to close up a wedding venue after a reception for which the client is packed up and gone by the contracted time of departure, they SHOULD NOT RUN A WEDDING VENUE! Despite the absolute unprofessional behavior of this couple, the other people in charge of making this wedding reception happen were able to work around them and make it beautiful, which is the reason for my 3 star rating. If the experience would have relied solely upon Joe and Indigo, my rating would have been lower. In short, I absolutely recommend that you either retain a wedding planner who is adept at working with inconsistent and misinformation or get married in the chapel and have your reception off-site. The Alchemy bar staff was superb, the chapel staff were great at helping us work around Joe and Indigo, and it turned out beautifully, despite our difficult interactions with them.

The bridal suite is huge and it allowed my bridesmaids, both moms, hair stylists and makeup artists to work and get ready comfortably. There are double doors that lead to the 1st floor patio. This area is a very nice space for cocktails, I would date say you could get 50 to 75 people out there. Beyond the patio are red brick stairs that lead to the large lawn. The large lawn is where you can play lawn games and or hold a ceremony. What a beautiful venue!! I had never even heard of it until I got the invitation. Thurman's Mansion is part of the Salt Lick Family--located just East of the Salt Lick on 1826. Gorgeous iron gates pique the curiousity of drivers and beckon guests in. The venue is a large mansion overlooking well manicured grounds and vineyards. The view of the mansion from the back is just breathtaking. A huge porch covers the back of the building--dramatic pillars hold up a second story balcony. Wide steps lead up from the grounds to the back doors of the reception hallf/main room. I saw the mansion on two different days in two very different ways--Friday afternoon for the rehearsal, I saw it set up for an outdoor wedding. The sun shining down, bride practicing her walk from the sweeping steps of the mansion down to the corner of the lawn where the trellace waited, people lining the stone walls around the perimeter of the lawn watching the practice. I felt like I stepped into a Jane Austen movie--my friend had planned a glorious outdoor wedding on the grounds. Much to her dismay, God and the torrential downpours decided that it would be better to have the ceremony indoors. Rather than ceremony outside and reception inside, both ceremony and reception were inside. The staff had set up about 40 chairs where the dance floor would have been. Double doors were open at the back of the small seating area allowing the pitter-pattering of the rain outside as the background music while they exchanged vows. The reception was a seated dinner for about 150 guests. Salt lick does catering--very fun to have the family style dinner Texas Style w/ cobbler as dessert. A nice alternative to the traditional wedding scene. The porch was a great place for conversation and mingling--they had the bar and some hors d'eouvres set up out there while the guests waited for pictures to be taken. The rain let up for exactly an hour--enough time for outdoor pictures! I honestly think that my friend got the best of both worlds...a unique, beautiful, romantic and intimate indoor wedding ceremony complete with rain and tears. Then outdoor pictures overlooking the vineyards with the mist hovering over the land. I swear I could hear Mr. Darcy beckoning to me while I watched from the porch... My hat goes off to you, Thurman's Mansion. You successfully transported me to another time. Bravo.

Because of the holiday, the place wasn't that crowded.  Lots of folks going in and out of doors, so there were quite a few flies inside. We were seated immediately and given our card to post when we were ready to order. As noted in other yelp reviews, there wasn't a real clear explanation given about the posting of the "we're ready to order card," but we figured out that it goes in the small metal holder on top of the paper towel stand on the table.  Cudos for the perforated paper towels, we've been to other similar restaurants where the paper towels are not perforated, making it very difficult to tear off a sheet or two. We stopped two different servers to ask questions about several items on the menu before we ordered, both were generally unaware of how food was being prepared and put together in the kitchen.  What is sofrito rice?  "Uh, it's red rice, I don't know what's in it."  What are myacoba refried beans?  "Uh, beans that are mashed up."  You get the picture... Ultimately, we were able to order food and a flight of beers.  We ordered the brisket tacos and the flauta basket (electing to have 4 of the chicken flautas).  The food was excellent, ingredients very fresh, flavor profiles well developed, a little bit of heat in everything.  The brisket tacos were probably some of the best we've ever had!  The flautas were just downright decadent.  Rolled tortillas, deep fried, topped with charred jalapeno avocado salsa, pico de gallo, crema and cotija cheese.  Delicious! For our beer flight, we sampled each of the wild craft beers (ingredients foraged from the property and put in the beer) and the red pale ale.  I must say the wild craft beers were different, we liked the nope ale the best, it was almost like a rose wine.  The red pale ale was very good. Bottom Line:  service, average;  food, excellent;  beer, just OK.  We did not have a "gotta go back there" experience at Beerburg Brewing.

The classy stone walkway is covered by a wooden deck, the natural interior is pained over grey and white, those big clear windows are actually warped, synthetic material, and the ceremony site is on top of a swamp with a drainage pipe less than 15 yards away. To top it all off, we specifically asked if the venue was close to any highways that would disrupt a ceremony with noise. Their coordinator Carson assured us that it was not, but when we arrived we saw that the venue and ceremony site is less than 60 yards from a major roadway. Who wants to say "I do" with cars and trucks whizzing by at 55mph every few seconds? We live in California now, but my fiance went to college in the Austin area and has been to the Salt Lick many times so we had no reason not to trust the photos. On their website, their brochure, and even extra photos we requested by email--everything looked beautiful so we booked sight unseen about 13 months out. We visited a month later and canceled as soon as we saw the venue. It wasn't even close to the photos they sent. The worst part was the way we were treated after this. Salt Lick refused to admit any wrongdoing or refund our deposit (which is a whopping 15% of our budget), even though we canceled 12 months before the date. Surely they will be able to re-book, especially since our date was a holiday. After emailing or calling the Salt Lick nearly every day for a month, we were finally able to negotiate a refund of half of our deposit. That's still a sizable portion of our budget that we will not have for our wedding all because The Salt Lick mislead us into a contract that severely limited our rights. We couldn't be more displeased with the way we were treated by the Salt Lick employees, specifically Maile, Carson, and Analisa. We would not recommend this venue to anyone.

I'm giving this venue 2 stars, and to be clear, that rating is entirely due to the coordination services I paid extra for--not the venue itself. The property is genuinely beautiful. Both the indoor and outdoor spaces made for a stunning wedding backdrop, and everything was well-kept. Hunter, the owner, was also a pleasure to work with--professional, kind, and clearly invested in the venue. The base package we booked (which did not include coordination) was a good value for what was provided. Unfortunately, the $2,000 I spent on the 90-day coordination service was, without exaggeration, the worst money I spent on my entire wedding. We were told this was a 90-day coordination package, but aside from the standard décor meeting that is already included for all couples, there were essentially no services provided until about six weeks before the wedding. This was incredibly misleading and not what was promised. Our coordinator, Marlana, was consistently unprepared for meetings--repeatedly asking questions I had already answered and pushing back on details that were important to me. The timeline she created completely ignored my priorities, leaving only 45 minutes for dancing despite me clearly stating that was my number one focus. I ultimately had to create and manage the timeline myself, which defeats the entire purpose of paying for coordination. On the wedding day, the lack of professionalism and organization became impossible to ignore. I was directing vendors and answering questions during my own photos. Even my photographer had to come to me multiple times because they were given an incorrect timeline. Marlana was nowhere to be found during key moments like getting ready and photos--times when a coordinator should be most present. Basic service elements were also neglected. The soda bar was unmanned for most of the night, the champagne tower was never distributed to guests, and water stations were repeatedly empty. These are fundamental responsibilities that should not require constant oversight from the bride or her family. The dance floor moved like it was going to break the whole night. The comments about the lay out being excluding are also accurate but we knew it may be that way when we signed. To make matters worse, I was never informed that tours would be taking place on my wedding day. While I was getting ready with my bridesmaids, a group of strangers nearly walked into the bridal suite because the door was unlocked. My mother had to stop them and tell them it was not an entrance. This was a major breach of privacy and completely unacceptable. The most disturbing moment, however, was when my mother went to find Marlana to address ongoing issues. During that interaction, Marlana put her hands on my mother and told her to "calm down." That is completely inappropriate, unprofessional, and unacceptable behavior in any setting--especially at a wedding where emotions are already high. There is no excuse for putting hands on a guest, let alone the bride's mother. To make matters even more disappointing, my mom ended up doing much of what a coordinator should have been responsible for throughout the day. As the oldest daughter and the first to get married, it was really important to me that she be able to fully enjoy the day. Instead, she was managing issues and filling in gaps for a service I had already paid for, which is incredibly disheartening. Lastly, we accidentally left a few items behind at the venue. That same night, Marlana texted asking what to do with them, and I was told they would be mailed out shortly that week. After hearing nothing, I followed up in mid-February and was told they would be sent the next day, but again, nothing was sent. It wasn't until mid-March that I was finally notified a package had been shipped, and I received it around March 18--over two months after my wedding. While I understand it was ultimately my responsibility not to leave items behind, the communication around this was completely misleading. Had I been told it would take over two months, I would have made other arrangements. In summary: the venue itself is beautiful and worth considering for the price, but the coordination service was disorganized, unreliable, misleading, and at times completely inappropriate. I strongly caution anyone against paying extra for it.

We had the most beautiful, PERFECT wedding ever at The Terrace Club! We truly cannot thank Hunter…read moreand Marlana enough for all of their hospitality, kindness and dedication to making our dream wedding possible. First of all, the venue sells itself. It is absolutely GORGEOUS and I love how the staircase in the backyard is part of the aisle that the bride makes her entrance from. So unique! Also, because the venue has the reception hall upstairs, it has an outdoor balcony where our photographer was able to capture one giant group photo with us and all of our guests. Also unique as not many other venues have the capability to do this. Their all-inclusive route was 10000% the best way to go! We paid a per-person price and it included the catering, the tables & chairs, all of the cutlery/plates/linen napkins/chargers, the table cloths, the table decor (excluding floral), additional venue decor, and the setup AND clean up of EVERYTHING. We opted to pay a little extra to have Marlana as our day-of coordinator, but she was in constant communication with us from the very beginning. All of this seriously made our experience such a breeze and we are so grateful! Hunter, the venue owner, is so sweet and very accommodating! Every time we brought up a concern with her, she was quick to make adjustments and solve any problems that came our way. We are beyond grateful for her support and flexibility!!! Marlana, our coordinator, went above and beyond!! She recommended a local, inexpensive DJ who we ended up booking - we had an incredible experience with Milo! She was so knowledgeable and helpful when it came to me sourcing additional decor items I needed, such as fake flowers since I'm allergic to real ones. She also was EXTREMELY knowledgeable when guiding us through the wedding ceremony, the timeline for the entire day and even got in touch with all of our vendors to ensure that they knew when they needed to arrive. I am especially grateful for Marlana and her dedication to making my dream wedding a reality. Both Hunter and Marlana did an incredible job of preparing for everything ahead of time, which contributed to the success of our big day! We legitimately had no hiccups and I truly believe that it's due to all of Hunter and Marlana's communication, hard work and commitment to making our day as special as possible. THANK YOU TIMES A MILLION to the team at The Terrace Club!!! We appreciate y'all! 11/10 recommend that you book your wedding at The Terrace Club!
