The gym is owned and operated by Chris, who used to be a professional boxer. The location is in a warehouse district in Rowlett, however if you are familiar with Crossfit than you will feel right at home. This workout is a mix of Crossfit (without the heavy weightlifting) and boxing. If you are new he has gear you can borrow until you decide if you like it. I found this place because my aunt used to box at Title and Chris was one of the coaches. The class times are Mon, Wed, Fri at 530p - 800ish and Sat, Sun at 10a. There isn't an actual class, the workout is on the board and when you show up you just start. He also does one on one training if you want that, I am not sure what that costs. I like this a lot better instead of having to wait for the next workout. He will usually stay at the gym until people stop showing up. This is one of the most fun workouts that I have done in a long time. I have never done anything boxing related and really enjoy getting to learn a new sport. Chris is the only coach but constantly walks around and gives direction. Because of the staggered workouts with people showing up there are always enough bags and you aren't waiting. I have been coming to this gym for almost 3 weeks now and there isn't a workout where I am not drenched in sweat and sore after. He will push and yell at you to keep going. They are all certified and really understand how to help each person do the best they can without pushing beyond what is safe. I have never been as fit as I am today and I am more motivated than I was the first day I walked in the door. Today, just about every workout facility follows a Crossfit type program, functional fitness, interval training etc. The difference with Crossfit and especially Crossfit Rockwall is the community.
