It is a small museum but an absolutely beautiful one worth visiting. As a birder, I loved the cases of taxidermied birds, one of the largest collections of this type on the West Coast with over 400 specimens. I was even more enchanted by the jade room full of jade pieces and artwork derived from right here on the Central Coast, the giant Grizzly Bear, the gorgeous nature field guide mural/artwork upstairs, and the imaginative Room of Wonder full of items that had long been stored in the Museum basement and now brought back to viewing public in artistic settings. This room is mesmerizing and hard to describe but you should definitely see it for yourself. Native Americans are included as well as Asian Americans in the different displays, which I appreciate and feel contributes to the holistic and unified way in which the natural history of our state is explained here. One of the highlights, though, was meeting Bill, a volunteer guide at the museum. He gave so many interesting facts, helped with cool photo ops, and conveyed his genuine love for nature and the community. He is the heart of this fine place. We hope to see him again! If you haven't been to the Natural History Museum, I highly recommend a visit. Locals can get in free.

My dad spoiled us growing up; we had every gaming system from the regular Nintendo up. Our friends and cousins always wanted to come over to our house so we could play video games. They have original games and systems for sale in the entrance of this shop. The employees were fine. There weren't any issues with service. Their was a guy actively working on something in the backround the entire time we were at the shop and another quietly gaming in the corner. They let us be and in return we tried to be respectful and follow the rules of their arcade. For the four of us to play for an hour was $32. This was a steal given how much our kids spend at our local arcades. No tokens were needed or loaded cards. I kicked my daughter's butt at Mortal combat and Pac man. We as a whole had a great time. The shop was quieter and we weren't complaining. The only recommendation for them would be some kind of cooling inside. It was a fairly warm day and it got kind of stuffy playing games inside. When I walked up to the employee to ask him to be more proactive about intervening with such behavior, he laughed and would not look me in the eyes. When I talked to another mom that was there she said that the employees never do anything to intervene with these types of things. I talked to the manager and told her what happened but got the basic message point of she will talk to the employee. If we return here, I will definitely have my eyes on my kids the entire time or we will go to a different location. My children also had an issue at a different side of the trampoline park and my kids stated that the employee was talking to a girl the whole time and not paying attention to the kids. The employees are not trained to properly prioritize safety at this site.
