He's incredibly calm, patient, and kind, which makes a world of difference for horses that need that extra reassurance. Recently, he worked on a rescue horse we took in who hadn't had proper hoof care in years. His feet were long, overgrown, and he had zero handling experience. I have been boarding my senior horse at Bettencourt Ranch for over 3 years now. I don't get out to…read moresee my horse as often as I would like to, but I love knowing how well cared for he is. Bettencourt Ranch is a small, home/stable, so there is almost always someone on site and the horses are closely looked after. I receive prompt phone calls if there is any concern about my horses health or if I'm running low on grain or supplements that he needs. The place is always very clean and it's less muddy than lot of places during the winter. The horses are fed quality hay twice a day. There are plenty of safe places to tie for grooming and saddling and a nicely groomed, clean sand arena. The overall atmosphere at the ranch is calm and friendly. Years ago, I had to move my horse because the woman I boarded with was moving. My farrier recommended Bettencourt Ranch and he couldn't have suggested a better place for me. If you want a smaller place to board with excellent care, I recommend checking out this facility.
