It's an older building off the beaten path with teeny-tiny bathrooms and and an even smaller parking lot. Now, on to my review. I called the front desk from Salt Lake City quite late in the evening. I was trying to push through as far as I could, but I knew I only had maybe an hour left in me before I started nodding off at the wheel. I almost pushed the "reserve" button on the Best Western just outside of town, but the cheapskate in me just could not warrant the $100 pricetag. I mean, I stayed at BW in Arizona the night before for HALF that. On to Yelp. I plotted my course and looked for the little pins along the way. I found this one with a pretty solid rating (thanks fellow Yelpers!) and called. The lady who answered was downright kind. I mean, really, really sweet. The price she quoted me was more my speed (uner $50). She had one room left. She told me that she turns in before midnight, but would be willing to wait for me as long as I promised to call if my plans changed. Mdme. GPS took me right to it, and, sure enough, the (very young-looking and beautiful) owner met me at the desk. She checked me right in and told me I got the "fun room" - meaning it had a separate bedroom besides the main room. (Side note - traveling as a group or with kids? Ask for room #9) We swapped a couple of stories. Her darling calico deemed me her newest best-best-best friend (and kept me company as I unpacked my van later). I got me a good, old-fashioned metal key on one of those diamond-shaped plastic jobbies. This amazingly kind woman even moved her own car so I'd have a place to park for the night. The front of the building is like an English garden. Well kept, blooming flowers, and little patio sets adorn the walkways. Enchanting. The room itself is nothing much - though (other than the postage-stamp sized bathroom), they are spacious. I chose to sleep in the bedroom area, as it was DARK and absolutely silent. I mean, sleepy-town zombies are a-coming quiet. Ahhhh.... The room is equipped with a modest flat-screen TV, a microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker, and well-maintained AC unit. The free wifi is easy to hook up to and works great. (Writing this on it now) The beds are quite comfortable. Did I mention how wonderfully quiet it is? The place was full, but you wouldn't know it. I did not hear a neighbor that evening or this morning. In fact, I kind of overslept. I never do that, even at home. One more note: the place is absolutely SPOTLESS. Housekeeping deserves an Olympic gold medal. This weary traveler found it charming. I would absolutely stay here again.

(There are more reviews on google) The campsites have grass underneath them, so they are not dusty and very cushy to sleep on, very large outdoor fire pits, and picnic tables. The showers and toilets were out of order for renovation when we visited so they were porta potties located conveniently and they were very clean to use. Both of the large pools are very beautiful and fun. They may not be warm enough to go in in the winter for some people when it's snowing but late summer early autumn when we were visiting, they were a nice temperature for the outside weather. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. They also have a nice playground for kids and a half court basketball hoop. Would recommend staying here and swimming in the water!

We just finished a four-day family reunion where we rented the entire facility (now there is only one lodge--the lodge with the pool has different owners now and we didn't miss it.) The set up is fantastic so that families naturally and easily gather around the tether ball and volleyball courts. There is a large, well-maintained grassy yard in the middle of the RV and tent areas. The lodge has an excellent, large assembly room for gatherings. We used it almost every night. There is a well-stocked kitchen that we all shared. Denise (the owner and manager) couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating to our large group. When cousins kept adding at the last minute, she let us get creative with sleeping arrangements. There is a large loft that the younger cousins used every night. They loved sleeping in a big group. Denise helped us with all the logistics of floating down the Bear River. It was one of the many highlights of a great reunion. She is kind and attentive to her guests. We are all agreed that this is one of the absolute best places for families to gather without going broke.

My elderly grandparents rented part of the RV and camping area for our annual family reunion. When we got there, the reservations were double booked. There was a lot of rearranging and juggling done to get spots for all 5 RV's and 4-5 tents. Next, the manager (a very nice and helpful lady) told us we were welcome to use the bathrooms in the lodge. I expected to only use the port-a-potties, but after checking them out and finding them to be absolutely disgusting, reeking, and filthy, I wanted to take my son in to use the lodge toilets. What a nightmare to have had my child use those horrible port-a-potties. Others in our group felt the same. After 2 days of several families in our group using the indoor bathrooms, the owner, Denise, singled ME out and yelled at me for using the lodge bathrooms. She was incredibly rude. I was very confused since we were told we COULD use them, and had been for 2 days! We always cleaned up after ourselves and brought in our own toilet paper. When we got there, the pool was completely drained and not cleaned, nor was anyone there to clean it. My lifeguard cousin actually ended up cleaning and filling the pool himself because nobody ever came to do it...That's right, we had to clean and fill the swimming pool ourselves. Denise, the owner, was extremely annoying. She was yelling at all the younger people for things they didn't do (such as running through the lodge, leaving doors "wide open" and spilling food in the hot tub--this was done by another group, but not us). We were told that in order to use the hot tub again, we would have to clean it ourselves, even though we didn't make the mess. So we ended up not only cleaning the pool, but the hot tub as well. Denise also seemed to hover over our group. It was like she watched our every move. She came down to meet with my grandparents SEVERAL times EACH DAY, always unhappy with some little thing or other that we were doing. She seemed to make up rules on the spot. Eventually we began to feel that we couldn't do anything but sit by our RV's. It felt like we were trespassing in a crotchety old neighbor's backyard. We felt VERY unwelcome. I didn't spend much time in the lodges, but they seemed very outdated and run down. Decor looked like it was from the '90's and I saw TWO 2-car garages absolutely packed full of junk, like a Hoarders episode. If I were reading this review, I'd wonder if our group was a bunch of hooligans, trashing the place and being rude... But we are just regular, nice people. We have a reunion every year at other places and never experienced issues like this. The owner needs to learn how to run a real business. She needs lessons on how to treat her customers. Maybe if she had spent less time hovering and forcing her guests to clean the entire place, and more time tending to her own responsibilities, she'd be better off. It's too bad that someone with some sense and organization skills doesn't buy this place and bring it up to its potential. Never setting foot there again.

We camped in a 30 ft travel trailer. It is a rustic RV park, most sites have full time trailers that folks must use on the weekends because we saw very few people on a Sunday evening in June. Checked in with the camp host, pd $30 for full hookups for one night. Pull through site, with a lovely view. There is a cement pad and picnic table. Gravel sites, I would recommend this park if you don't need restrooms or showers and are self/contained. This park met our needs for a one night stop and the view was absolutely beautiful. The surrounding hillsides were green, lush, and birds were abundant. There is a boat ramp, some small docks to fish off as well as the damn. Great for boating and kayaking. I'm probably being generous with 5 stars but I loved our front water view and it was peaceful.

The campsites are sloped and we witnessed many people drag the back of their RV's across the ground as they were pulling in and trying to position the RV on a flat level area. The campsites are crammed in so close you can reach out the window of your RV and touch the RV next to yours. You also have to share the picnic table and fire pit with the campers next to you. The water connections are old and drip constantly creating mud holes. The bathrooms are outhouses and no showers. There's no grass anywhere. The camp host didn't come around and greet anyone or check if everything was alright. Nope, won't be staying here again!
