I ordered a bday cake for my Mom in May. I bought cake decorations from Shein and added to the cake. Excellent customer service and she was very patient with me as I live in Canada and could only communicate through email. Pick up process went smooth I stayed in Tampa and drove to her shop in Largo. I ordered marble cake with vanilla mousse filling I believe. The cake was delicious and extremely moist but I noticed there was more icing than cake. Also the details on the cake could have been more precise e.g the right side of the front label is crooked. Satisfactory experience otherwise. read more

I am living in DC and wanted to send cupcakes to my aunt and uncle as a thank you. I searched for a cupcake spot that would decorate the cupcakes to make them look like flowers, deliver to St Pete Beach, and print and send my thank you letter. I spoke with Hannah and Desiree, who were both so helpful and sweet, and decided to go with them. After a delivery mishap that was completely my own fault, Desiree helped to ensure that my surprise cupcakes would make it safely to their house. They were so touched by the presentation of the cupcakes, and that my note showed up at the same time. I am so appreciative of their service, and their attention to detail. Working with their team was a breeze and they offered and delivered excellent customer service! read more

I needed an anniversary cake for my parents and after scouring yelp I settled on this place. Thankfully, everything turned out perfectly! I had to do everything over email because we were coming in from out of state, but they were very responsive. The cake turned out beautiful, but more importantly tasted great. We had it delivered on our second day and we were all able to enjoy it throughout our entire week vacation. The only thing that was a little tricky is being able to reach them on a weekend.....may be a good idea to have an emergency contact when delivering on weekend in case there's a hiccup. read more

I live in D.C. and went on a hunt to find a bakery that could create and deliver a 40th birthday cake to my best friend in Tampa. Please note - this is during the COVID-19 epidemic. Found Chantilly Cakes on yelp and saw the amazing reviews. I contacted the bakery and spoke to Desiree, who was extremely helpful and took the time to talk me through some of my ideas. I ended up ordering one of her most popular cakes (almond cake with strawberry filling) and emailed her the pic of one of the birthday cakes that I prefer - I found it on her yelp page. Although I wasn't there to enjoy the cake .... but the birthday girl and her friends said the cake was AMAZING! They could smell the aroma as soon as the cake entered the house. Needless to say, the cake was quickly devoured. Thank you so much for helping to make my best friend's 40th birthday celebration very special. read more

I found Desiree online and am so happy I went with her for my friends incredible bachelorette cake. She was super responsive and even allowed me to come by to taste the flavor combos (something I've never done before!). I sent her the image of the cake I was looking for and she went above and beyond. It wasn't just exactly like the picture, it was even better because it was bigger and had more detail. The bride was thrilled and while it was so fun to look at, it was delicious as well. Desiree knew it was a very large cake for a very small group and had the delivery driver bring boxes so we could take some to go. I'd highly recommend using her for any event! read more

The pictures don't do justice; we ordered a wedding cake through Chantilly Cakes and it came out better than we ever could have imagined! The detailing is spectacular, I felt bad to cut through such a work of art. Presentation was one thing, the taste was another thing that I couldn't believe. Soft and silky, not too sweet, and just melted in your mouth. There's no other venue I would consider after going through them, thank you for an amazing experience! Best, Charlie read more

We checked out Chantilly Cakes because they were a preferred vendor for our venue. We selected them because they are amazing. Desiree is making our cake for our Sept wedding and I can't wait. We scheduled our tasting to coincide with several other wedding to dos in the area. She was super flexible and accommodated an extra taster because well, who can say no to dad!! She spent a tremendous amount of time with us talking through flavor and decoration options. She was professional and personable and most importantly - completely honest with us. We never felt pressured and feel that our selections represent our tastes rather than what she wanted. Her cake flavors were simply amazing, moist, rich and delicious. Her fillings are to die for. She makes a vanilla mousse filling that is so delicious I wanted to like the plate. More to follow when we actually see the cake!! read more

Let me start by saying this business did a great job for the birthday cake that was ordered by a friend. The superhero cake that was custom made was immaculate. Chantilly Cakes - Beautiful 50th Wedding Anniversary cake :) - Bakeries Near Me - Largo, Florida

Cake looked beautiful. They are wonderful to work with, but cake was dry. Location a little tricky to find.

The cake was probably the most disappointing experience on my wedding day. We tried to pick and choose various aspects of different cakes we had seen, and we were expecting a cake that had a beautiful cascade of our wedding flowers matching those under the arch that the cake was placed under. Instead the design was a generic one that Chantilly had done for another wedding and they didn't even bother to incorporate our wedding colors into the cake. Worst of all, the cake had a giant baby-shower-type bow placed on top, which we clearly stated we did not want. Many of the guests remarked on how terrible the cake looked. I was truly heartbroken, started sobbing, and my husband wanted to call and ask if they delivered someone else's wedding cake to us. Thankfully, our wedding planner somehow came through to somehow create a gorgeous cascade of flowers on the spot, but with all the drama that happened, I really wish we had gone with someone else. Overall, I think Chantilly is not a terrible value if it doesn't matter what the cake looks like to you, but otherwise I would go elsewhere. UPDATE (12/15): Ms. Chamberlain has continued to harass me and threatened online to sue, but the only defamatory remarks made with all kinds of untruthful information has been by Ms. Chamberlain herself (including her response below) which only seem to have the aim to bring down my character, instead of acknowledging any blame. I do live in NYC, so granted I am used to a high level of professional conduct and service. In my opinion, this is clearly not present at this establishment. Actual high-end businesses that I have worked with do not threaten lawsuits or spread false rumors in order to deal with customer dissatisfaction. read more

I don't know how their Safety Harbor location was, but their Largo office is in an industrial part of town that would've been almost impossible for me to find if it weren't for my handy Garmin. This baker was one on the list of approved bakers for my standard wedding cake included in my catering package by Amici's Catered Cuisine. Unlike other place we went to whose storefront consisted of pink and lace Southern-belle nightmare, the office of Chantilly Cakes was professional and tasteful that offered tasteful and elegant cake designs. One thing I noticed about this and all other cake bakers I visited - what's with the seashell decor? Is it really a big thing around here? It's so tacky it makes no sense. Of all places on their list, this place by far offered the best-tasting cake with the ability to help me conceptualize its design. My husband specifically wanted an amaretto cake, and with their amaretto and almond cakes, we were sold. Their cakes were light, fluffly and smooth tasting and full of flavor. We decided on a two-layered cake with one layer of raspberry swirl an done layer of almond cake with a raspberry mousse filling. Our top tier cake was both almond and amaretto cake with an amaretto cream filling. This yummy cake encased in a buttercream frosting the scented that portion of our reception room with its buttery-sweet aroma. If my guests weren't drooling over our dinner buffet, they were definitely going gaga over our cake. read more

Desiree made my wedding cake July 2017. I live in Tennessee, and she was a delight to work with remotely! I never traveled to Florida for a cake testing, and only told her that we loved to eat, so the cake flavor was the most important thing to me. She absolutely delivered! I LOVED my wedding cake! It was moist, flavorful, and beautiful! She not only met every expectation, but exceeded them! Thank you, Desiree, and I'm sorry it's taken me two years to leave a review! Thid place was highly recommended so I was excited to get a made from scratch birthdsy cake. First impression the owner lacks socisl skills. I called them on Friday afternoon for a Wedding Cake we needed for Monday. My wife gave the details and come Monday morning we had the PICTURE PERFECT Wedding Cake. Very rich and tasty. The great thing about the cake was, this place isn't even open on Monday's, but despite there busy delivery schedule, she told me I could pick it up at 10:00 a.m. Just a very accomodating company and I fully recommend them. We had the red Velvet and it was amazing. Location is in the cut, but what do I care lol, I found it without getting lost. They even showed off our cake on their FaceBook page and shouted out me and my wife for our wedding. Great company, fresh ingredients, no preservatives. Do yourself a favor and get a real Wedding Cake at Chantilly Cakes. I found out about them at LivingSocial.com and they will be running another special soon, if unsure, give that a try, but I would have no questions about going back w/o a LS or Groupon. Only pricey if you don't factor in the personalization and the fresh ingredients. Worth every penny if you ask me. read more
