Worst customer service! The lady working there "Rosario" the thick lady was very rude!! I asked for a diablito and when she started adding mango I told her no! She actually was very rude and in a bad way that I scared her, but with really bad attitude. She was just going on no stop with me very mean and rude!!! The manger was also there and she was VERY nice. I asked the manager for the lady's name and she did give it to me, but before leaving I asked again but this time to the rude lady and she didn't want to give me her name. I'm very sad I was super excited to get some sort of fruit something wasn't sure what I wanted but that dream was quickly squashed as I happily walk in to this place only to be greeted by someone moping the floor stating they were closed... the door sign said 8:30pm and it was only 7:15pm. If the place is closing early at least be kind enough to put a sign on the door or lock your door. I'm so sad honestly I was craving something so bad. I've only been here 4 or 5 times but since I do laundry and have my clothes cleaned at two of the businesses in the center I decided that this would be my go-to spot for fruit salads, tortas and Chamangos (my daughters favorite). Unfortunately, principle precludes me from going again. My dissatisfaction stems from being charged a dollar for an extra honey when purchasing a large fruit salad. I feel that if 1 container is included with a small salad, then more than one should be standard with a large. Frutiza in Eastlake and Que Tortas in Escondido are two similar businesses that I frequent regularly and neither has ever asked for a cent, certainly not a dollar. To reiterate, this is a matter of principle, not money. I always tip one or two dollars for a single purchase. Lastly, I know that the employees are not responsible so my issue is not with them. read more

As I was walking in I saw the worker behind the counter grabbing cut fruit from a container with her bare hand to transfer it to the cold case display. There was a spoon readily available for scooping fruit within the cold case, so I'm not sure why she was not using it. I was about to turn around when I said what the heck, and placed an order. She rinsed her hands after she touched the money I handed her. This has to be the worst place for corn in a cup. First my husband and I went inside and looked at the menu. Most of which was in Spanish which is fine but we ask the two ladies what was certain things on the menu and they had no clue what it was. (Red flag) so I decided to just order corn in a cup. This cup look like they filled it up with juice or water or something and than added the corn and other stuff. I have never in my life had a cup of corn with so much liquid in my life and i love corn in a cup. So I ordered the chamango which happened to be pretty good except they give me this huge candy straw which is normal but they didn't give me a regular straw. So now I basically was forced to eat the candy until the hole appeared in the straw..... it's just too much going on with this place and too many red flags. read more

Acai bowl is the best I have had in chula vista. Coming back for it again ! You must also try their Albondiga soup ***** delicious! I called in my order over the phone, I was told that my order would be ready in 15 min. I show up and their is one line for pick up and to place orders. I nicely asked the lady if it was only one line for pick up and orders. Lady said yes. I waited in line for about 15 min. I could see my order in the counter. It wasn't even placed in the fridge. I ordered a chamango so I knew by the time I paid for my order my chamango would be melted. While waiting in line I can see one of the ladies grabbing the fruit with her bare hands and throwing it in the blender. Once I got to the front of the line I asked the lady if I can see if my chamango was melted. It was melted so she offered to add more ice and blend it. At this point I just wanted to leave and give my daughter her chamango so I said yes. Once I got home, the chamango was still watery. They need a better system for phone pick ups, they need to put the orders that are ready for pick up in the fridge, and the lady needs to put gloves on to grab the fruit. read more

Last minute, like 15 minuets last minute,the ladies inside rendered outstanding customer service. Their sign did indicate that they were closed, however I challenged it, and it all worked out. As a former Burger King employee, I also can relate the amount of preparation employees go through at "Chang Mango" to open and close their restaurant.
