I was so excited when I found this website - looking for resale shops in the area to sell and buy from. Their location was great, their website was well laid out and the pictures of their store looked fantastic. That's about the only NICE things I can say about this store.
When I visited to drop things off and to browse, I was so disappointed. The two ladies that were working there were so rude - to me and my children. As we walked in the door, they yelled to keep a hold of the kids. It was a 7 year old and 5 year old, who were standing right next to me, minding their own business. I understand that children could be a problem, but we did nothing to deserve being hollered at. This store is not child friendly by any means.
When I asked about consigning there, they talked down to me, like I was a child. I couldn't believe how ugly they were. I finally brought in a few of my items, and the lady that sorted through them was again, so rude and ugly - she told me she didn't have time for this and if I didn't know when my items were purchased, she could do nothing for me. The few items that were brought in were basic sweaters - they were in style and in excellent shape, which was more than I could say for the items I saw in the store.
Another lady was in the store also, bringing in business suits at the time. This same old "hag" worker/employee/owner (honestly, I don't know what she was to the store) told this other customer that it was her job to sort through her items, she didn't have time to look through them. I'm sorry, but if a store is going to benefit from consigned clothes, I would think that they would have time to flip through the hangers being brought in and determine if they were worthy.
Maybe I don't know the "process." It's a shame, as I took all my clothes and donated them to a church resale who was very appreciative. This shop has lost a customer - I will never spend my money with a store that can be so ugly to it's customers.v read more
